Facile and Room Temperature Preparation and Characterization of PbS Nanoparticles in Aqueous [EMIM][EtSO4] Ionic Liquid Using Ultrasonic Irradiation

  • At room-temperature, a facile, seedless, and environmentally benign green route for the synthesis of star like PbS nanoclusters at 7 min in aqueous solution of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate, [EMIM] [$EtSO_{4}$], room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL), via ultrasonic irradiation is proposed. The X-ray diffraction studies display that the products are excellently crystallized in the form of cubic structure. An energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) investigation reveals the products are extremely pure. The absorption spectra of the product exhibit band gap energy of about 4.27 eV which shows an enormous blue shift of 3.86 eV that can be attributed to very small size of PbS nanoparticles produced and quantum confinement effect. A possible formation mechanism of the PbS nanoparticles using ultrasonic irradiation in aqueous solution of the RTIL is presented.

  • The objective of this study is to determine crack depth located under steel reinforcement in concrete specimens using ultrasonic method. Experimental studies were performed on concrete specimens containing vertical and inclined surface-opening cracks with known depths. The other studies were carried out on specimens with flexural crack. Experimental results have shown that the crack depth is effectually measured when the distance between the probes is less than the crack depth. The effect of steel on crack depth estimation is studied through a model by considering P-waves diffaction at the tip of crack and steel. In addition, experimental results show that the ultrasonic method is one of useful methods to evaluate the crack depth in reinforced concrete.

  • 멀터콥터형 드론에 적용할 목적으로 바람 센서의 특성을 분석하고 실험을 통하여 비교하였다. 회전식 풍속계의 경우 동역학 효과가 측정 오차를 만들며, 초음파식 센서는 제작 오차와 신호처리 오차가 주요한 것으로 나타났다. 초음파식 센서는 트랜스듀서의 거리가 멀수록 오차가 줄어든다. 실험을 통하여 이러한 특성들을 확인하였으며, 멀티콥터에는 전압 출력 혹은 10 hz 이상의 데이터 출력이 가능한 초음파식 센서가 적합하다고 판단한다.

  • Unit-water content is an element directly related to durability and unit-water content of concrete used at construction site has a great effect on the durability of construction structure. Many methods are being discussed for more convenient and accurate measurements of unit-water content. Therefore, an experimental study was conducted on the prediction of unit-water content using ultrasonic equipment. Depending on the amount of cement in cement paste, the speed of ultrasonic waves varies and the experiment will be carried out using the same reception sensitivity in the future.

초음파 CT에서의 굴절 및 위상 상쇄 효과의 영향과 그 보정법 (In fluency on Refraction and Phase Cancellation Effect in Ultrasonic CT and its Correction)

  • 초음파 CT는 tissue characterization을 위해 현재 유용한 기법으로 기시되고 있다. 그러나 이에 의해 재구성된 음속분포 및 감쇠·정교 분제는 초음파 빔의 반사, 굴절, 위상 상쇄 효과 등의 화상 열하요각으로 인해 그 단력상의 정량성 평가에 문제점이 존재한다. 이에, 본 논문은 먼저 초음파 CT 화상의 정량적 평가를 위해 개발한 한천(Agar) gel 팬텀을 이용하여 감표 정수 분포 화상 열하 요인을 검토했다. 그 결과, 팬텀 중앙부에서의 재구성 감쇠정교는, 주위매휴(식단수)영 음속차가 25m1s일 때, 실제치보다 약 0.6dB/cm 정도 작게 나타났다. 다음, 이의 보정법으로 수신용 마이크로프로브 어레이법에 대한 계산기 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 그 유효성을 검토하고, 양호한 결과가 얻어짐을 밟혔다. Although ultrasonic CT is one of the useful techniques for tissue characterization, the reconstructed images, such as the velocity distribution and attenuation constant distribution, are degraded by reflection and refraction of ultrasonic beam. This paper studied the degradation effects on attenuation images using agar gel phantoms which were developed to evaluate ultrasonic CT. We found that the reconstructed attenuation constants at the center of the phantoms were less than the actual values by 0.6 dB/cm when phantom velocity differs by 25 m/s from surrounding saline. We also studied a correction method for refraction and phase cancellation effects, where the correction was made using the maximum value in the received subdata, as obtained by sub-arraying microprobes located at each sampling point. Using this method, we could obtain an improvement in the reconstructed image by the correction on the attenuation effect.

  • 최근 미세접합 기술이 다양한 사회에서 주목받고 있다. 미세접합 기술은 레이저 접합 초음파 접합 등이 있다. 그러나 미세 접합의 연구가 많이 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 초음파 접합장치 구동 시 열평형 상태에서 압전소자에 열영향을 최소화하기 위해 냉각관을 설계하였다. 또한 냉각관이 설계된 초음파 접합 장치를 이용하여 접합 실험을 실시하였다. 다꾸찌 실험계획법을 이용하여 실험을 실시하였으며, 기초실험을 통해 공정변수와 반응 변수를 설정하였다. 접합 실험의 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 접합 계면의 미세조직을 관찰하였고, 인장실험을 통해 접합 강도를 확인하였다.

튀김 닭고기 가슴살의 품질에 영향을 미치는 초음파 주사 효과 (Effects of Ultrasonic Waves Scanning on the Quality of Fried Chicken Breast)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of ultrasonic wave scanning on the quality of fried chicken breast. The ultrasonic wave scanning time was 0(US-0), 3(US-3), 7(US-7) and 10(US-10) minutes, no respective comparison here. The moisture of raw breast was higher than that of flied chicken, while the crude protein, fat and ash of fried chicken were higher than those of raw breast(p<0.05). The moisture content was influenced by the ultrasonic waves scanning, but the crude protein, fat and ash were not. The $L^*$(lightness) and $b^*$(yellowness) values of fried chicken were higher than those of raw breast but the $a^*$(redness) value of raw breast was higher than that of fried chicken. The $L^*$ value was lowest in US-0, while the $a^*$ value was not significantly different and the $b^*$ value was lowest in US-7 among the fried chicken samples(p<0.05). The fried chicken was not influenced by the ultrasonic wave scanning, indicating that the longer scanning time increased the water holding capacity. The pH ranged from 6.54 to 6.93, and the calorie of fried was higher than that of raw breast, but was not influenced by the ultrasonic wave scanning time. The VBN content ranged from 8.73 to 12.3 mg%. The TBARS value of raw breast was lower than that of flied chicken and was not influenced by the ultrasonic wave scanning time. Total amino acid was highest in raw breast and lowest in US-3(p<0.05). The taste, texture and juiciness were superior with increasing scanning time, but flavor and Palatability were not significantly different among the fried chicken samples(p<0.05).

초음파와 microbubble 처리가 무지개송어(Oncorhynchus mykiss)의 혈청성분 및 선천성 면역에 미치는 영향 (Effects of ultrasonic and microbubble treatment on serum components and innate immunity in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss))

  • Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were treated with ultrasonic (40kHz) and microbubble. The organic serum components, glucose were decreased compared to control at microbubble single treatment (M) and ultrasonic treatment (UL), but glucose concentrations in fish serum of all experimental groups analyzed in this study were also within the normal range. The organic serum components, cholesterol and total protein were no significant change by ultrasonic and microbubble treatment. There were no significant changes in the lysozyme activity on ultrasonic and microbubble treatment. Serum bactericidal activity decreased on ultrasonic single treatment (UL) compared to the control (P<0.05), but the numbers of bacterial colonies were significantly lower than those in the negative (PBS). The results of this study indicate that ultrasonic and microbubble treatment did not have a critical effect on the serum composition and innate immunity of O. mykiss, and that it is a way to do not significant stress on the fish body as a countermeasure against sea lice.

자기테이프용 Metal Powder의 초음파 분산에 의한 자기적 특성 향상에 관한 연구 (Study on Magnetic Property Enhancement of Metal Powders for Magnetic Tape by Using Ultrasonic Dispersion)

  • It was investigated the effect of ultrasonic treatment on magnetic property of ultra fine magnetic Fe powders ($\alpha$-Fe) for magnetic tape. The properties were characterized with vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), particle size analyzer (PSA) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). At 4hours ultrasonic treatment of 70 kHz, magnetic properties such as squareness ratio (S.Q. : 0.8868), orientation ratio (O.R. : 2.45) and switching field distribution (S.F. D. : 0.394) before taping were relatively enhanced. Cumulative particle size distribution of less than 5$\mu\textrm{m}$ fine powder was above 90% below 1 hour leaving time after ultrasonic treatment and it was supposed that ultrasonic treatment prevent aggregation. The magnetic values of S.Q. and S.F.D. of tape manufactured at 70 kHz and 4hour ultrasonic treatment were improved from 0.7747, 0.3818 to 0.8037, 0.3706, respectively. Electro-magnetic property used as in-output signal characteristic was improved, which showed that ultrasonic treatment developed the magnetic properties.

초음파 시험에 의한 자기유체의 탄성율 산정 (Elastic Modulus of Magnetic Fluids Evaluated by Ultrasonic Test)

  • Magnetic nanoparticles for ferromagnetic fluids and magnetorheological fluids were prepared by chemical coprecipitation and mechanical milling, respectively. The surface-treated particles were dispersed at various weight ratios into a medium of polyethylene glycol. In order to evaluate the elastic modulus of the fluids, ultrasonic pulse velocities were measured with an ultrasonic test using transducers of 5MHz and 2.25MHz. The ultrasonic signals were only available with a transducer of 2.25 MHz at fluid concentrations of 5 mg/ml and lower. In the case of applying transducers over 2.25 MHz and concentrations over 5 mg/ml to the fluids, it was impossible to observe effective ultrasonic signals due to an excessive scattering of the pulses by the dispersed particles. Elastic moduli of the magnetorheological fluids were 5.44 GPa and 6.13 GPa with concentrations of 25 mg/ml and 50 mg/ml, respectively; these values were higher by 40% than the values of 4.04 GPa and 4.28 GPa of ferromagnetic fluids at the same concentrations. As for the effect of an external magnetic field on these dilute fluids, the ultrasonic signals were positioned in a very similar way, which was probably due to insufficient arrangement of the particles even though the reflection energy of the ultrasonic waves apparently increased.
