Industrial IoT Standardization Trend of the 5G Mobile Network (5G 모바일 네트워크의 Industrial IoT 표준기술 동향)

  • Industrial networks has been developing various technologies from fieldbus technology to industrial Ethernet and time-sensitive networking. The industry expects that the 5G mobile network will solve the diverse and highly specific industrial site requirements. Accordingly, 3GPP has been developing standard functions to provide ultra-high reliability, ultra-high speed, ultra-connection, and ultra-low latency services, and 3GPP Rel-16 began developing ultra-low latency and ultra-high reliability communication functions for 5G mobile networks to support vertical industries. In this paper, we show the related standardization trends and requirements to apply industrial IoT service scenarios to 5G mobile networks, and in particular, we introduce 5G system features and extended 5G system architecture to provide time sensitive communication and time synchronization services.

Analysis of Dynamic Characteristics for Concept Design of Independent-Wheel Type Ultra-High-Speed Train (독립차륜형 초고속 열차 개념 설계안의 동특성 해석)

  • In this paper, a concept design of a rail type ultra-high-speed train is proposed and its dynamic characteristics are analyzed. Instead of the existing solid axle, a new type bogie system and independently rotating wheels are applied in the proposed train. In order to analyze the dynamic characteristics, a multibody dynamic model of a vehicle is developed and the basic validity is verified by eigenvalue analysis. Also, it is shown that the critical speed is improved in comparison to that of existing high-speed train model HEMU-430X. Finally, through 7000R curved track driving analysis at a speed of 550 km/h, the lateral force of the wheels and the derailment quotient are estimated and the applicability of the new concept railway vehicle is confirmed.

  • This paper shows development of 1-3 dimensional hybrid mesh method to analysis flow induced by ultra-high speed vehicle inside a long distance tunnel. For three-dimensional analysis of the tunnel system many meshes are required. However it is not efficient to calculate the whole tunnel system in three-dimension. Therefore in this paper, three-dimension meshes was used to describe stations, shafts and around vehicle, and one-dimension meshes was used to describe the tunnel except these three sections. And unsteady flow analysis of the ultra-high speed vehicle was performed with UDFs in commercial software, Ansys vr. 12.0.

  • Recently, High accuracy and precision are required in various industrial field especially, semiconductor manufacturing apparatus, Ultra precision positioning apparatus, Information field and so on. Positioning technology is a very important one among them. Is such technology has been rapidly developed, this field needs the positioning accuracy as high as submicron. It is expected that the accuracy of 10nm and 1nm is required in precision work and ultra precision work field, respectively by the beginning of 2000s. High speed and low vibration are also needed. This work deals with the design method and control system of Ultra precision positioning apparatus. We will examine the control performance and stability before manufacturing the real apparatus by using MATLAB SIMULINK based or pre-designed controller and system modeling.

  • This paper performs flow analysis of ultra-high speed vehicle inside the long distance tunnel. One and three dimensional hybrid mesh was used for describing moving motion and flow analysis of an vehicle inside a long distance tunnel which over 20 km. Flow analysis and aerodynamic drag measuring were performed by three dimensional mesh: around vehicle, and pressure waves of a tunnel was measured by one dimensional mesh: the other region where rare changing of flow pattern.

  • Recently, active efforts are being made for future Si CMOS technology by various researches on emerging devices and materials. Capability of low power consumption becomes increasingly important criterion for advanced logic devices in extending the Si CMOS. In this work, a junctionless field-effect transistor (JLFET) with ultra-thin poly-Si (UTP) channel is designed aiming the sub-10-nm technology for low-power (LP) applications. A comparative study by device simulations has been performed for the devices with crystalline and polycrystalline Si channels, respectively, in order to demonstrate that the difference in their performances becomes smaller and eventually disappears as the 10-nm regime is reached. The UTP JLFET would be one of the strongest candidates for advanced logic technology, with various virtues of high-speed operation, low power consumption, and low-thermal-budget process integration.

  • In this paper, we investigated ultra high speed wireless communication cell backbone net of city using of wireless communication transceiver for millimeter wave band. A new type of 60GHz wave band wireless transceiver using NRD waveguide. This 60㎓ transceiver has excellent signal's absorption characteristics of oxygen molecule than the other millimeter wave bands. We constructed to wireless networks interval within 500m to 3km on wireless backbone node using 60GHz transceivers, and did it so that city type wireless communication cell backbone networks of 155.52MbpsATM(OC-3) may be possible. Therefore, if use transceiver, it is possible that city type ultra high speed wireless communication cell backbone networks construction of 100Mbps, 155.52Mbps, 622Mbps, 1Gbps, and 1.2Gbps degrees.

  • A cowl cross is a part of the car's instrument panel used to maintain the rigidity of the vehicle body side. The application of laser welding has the benefits of speed and thermal deformation compared to arc welding. An ultra-high strength steel sheet is used to reduce the weight of the vehicle body parts. Generally, formability of such a steel sheet is poor because its elongation is very low. For this reason, a method for cold forming of an ultra-high strength steel sheet is required. This paper describes how to improve the formability and weldability of the ultra-high strength steel sheet. Mechanical tests of this material were also performed to evaluate the welding properties of $CO_2$ (GMAW) and those of laser welding.

  • As the speed of memory is improved vey fast the advanced test equipments are needed to test the ultra-high speed memory devices efficiently. It is necessary to develop the Algorithmic Pattern Generator (ALPG) that tests fast memory devices effectively using the instructions that testers want to use. In this paper, we propose a new parallel ALPG for the ultra-high speed memory testing. The proposed ALPG can generate patterns for fast memory devices at high speed using manual instructions by the Instruction Analyzer.
