Analysis of Signal Integrity of High Speed Serial Interface for Ultra High Definition Video Pattern Control Signal Generator (UHD급 영상패턴 제어 신호발생기를 위한 고속 시리얼 인터페이스의 신호 무결성 분석)

  • In accordance with 4K UHD(Ultra High Definition) LCD television's higher resolution and data expansion, LCD TV had to face problems such as increasing numbers of cables and tangible skews problems among cables. The V-by-One HS is a new interface technology in the path between the image processing IC and timing control (TCON) board. The variable speed from 600 Mbps to 3.75 Gbps effectively meets the requirements of various different pixel rates. In this paper, we use the V-by-One HS interface to illustrate our proposed simulation method of frequency resonance mode and PCB design approach to model the effects of signal integrity for high speed video signal using an IBIS models.

  • In this paper, we will present the Aspheric Surface Program for optical element. X-ray optical element designed to give a high resolution and reflectively in order to observe the living cell in the range of the water window. According to optical design, we developed the Aspheric Surface Program using the visual basic. Using the Aspheric Surface Program, we directly machined the electroless nickel bulk.

  • We present an ultra-slim LCD module for 40-inch FHD TV. By employing edge-lit backlight system, module thickness of 10mm is achieved. To satisfy the luminance spec of 450 nits in FHD resolution, it is critical to adopt high efficient LED and optical components.

  • We study the structures and dynamics of flows generated by ultra-relativistic jets on kpc scales through three-dimensional relativistic hydrodynamics (RHD) simulations. We employ a newly developed RHD code, equipped with the WENO-Z reconstruction, the SSPRK time discretization, and an equation of state that closely approximates the single-component perfect gas in relativistic regime. Exploring a set of models with various parameters, we confirm that the well-known Fanaroff-Riley dichotomy is primarily determined by the jet power, whereas the morphology of simulated jets also depends on the secondary parameters such as the momentum injection rate and the ratio of the jet to background pressure. Utilizing high resolution capabilities of the newly developed code, we examine in detail the dynamical properties of complex flows in different parts of jet-produced structures, and present the statistics of nonlinear dynamics such as shock, shear, and turbulence.

  • This paper introduce a structure of haptic collaboration system over high resolution tiled-display, and proposes a object based efficient display method for high resolution display in integrated system. in addition, a modeling of visualization system is defined to evaluate performance of the proposed method. Both haptic system and tiled-display system have requirements of computational power. A haptic device is unstable if haptic rendering rate is less than 1kHz. A requirement of tiled-display systems is frame rate of display. It requires update of 30 frame fer sec. If we use these systems independently, we can satisfy each requirements. However, if we integrate two systems, performance of entire system significantly decreases because of lack of resources. In this paper, therefore, we propose a segmentation-based display method for ultra high resolution display in integrated system. The proposed method reduces redundancy of display data by reducing a display rate of static objects. Finally, a modeling of visualization system is defined to evaluate performance of the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes a method to solve problems that may occur when SPIHT(set partition in hierarchical trees) is used in a dedicated codec for compressing complex holograms with ultra-high resolution. The development of codecs for complex holograms can be largely divided into a method of creating dedicated compression methods and a method of using anchor codecs such as HEVC and JPEG2000 and adding post-processing techniques. In the case of creating a dedicated compression method, a separate conversion tool is required to analyze the spatial characteristics of complex holograms. Zero-tree-based algorithms in subband units such as EZW and SPIHT have a problem that when coding for high-resolution images, intact subband information is not properly transmitted during bitstream control. This paper proposes a method of dividing wavelet subbands to solve such a problem. By compressing each divided subbands, information throughout the subbands is kept uniform. The proposed method showed better restoration results than PSNR compared to the existing method.

  • The direct write FIB technology has several advantages over contemporary micro-machining technology, including better feature resolution with low lateral scattering and capability of maskless fabrication. Therefore, the application of FIB technology in micro fabrication has become increasingly popular. In recent model of FIB, however the feeding system has been a very coarse resolution of about a few ${\mu}m$. Our research is the development of nano stage of 200mm strokes and 10nm resolutions. Also, this stage should be effectively operating in ultra high vacuum of about $1x10^{-7}$ torr. This paper presents the discussion and results of CAE of the 2 axes stages. we have estimated the stable static and dynamic characteristics for dual servo system. Therefore the 2 axes stages developed and future work are introduced at the end of the paper.

  • 멀티미디어 기술의 보급 확산 및 급속한 발전으로 새로운 영상 압축 기술인 HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) 고화질 영상 압축 표준을 탄생시켰으며, 사용자 또한 대형 화면에 대한 선호도가 높아지고 있다. 그 결과 기존의 HD급 영상보다 4배 이상, 16배까지 선명한 초고화질 UHD(Ultra High Definition) 영상 서비스가 차세대 방송기술로 새롭게 주목받고 있다. 또한 JPEG 2000 압축도 기존 처리된 $4096{\times}4096$ 픽셀 이미지를 넘어 초고화질 해상도 이미지(8K : $7680{\times}4320$ 혹은 $8192{\times}4320$ 픽셀)를 처리 지원을 하고 있다. 따라서 초고화질 이미지의 획득 및 저장을 위해서는 고속의 처리 기술이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문은 초고화질 해상도 이미지의 고속 처리를 위한 병렬처리 기술에 대해 단계적 연구를 실행하며, 이를 위하여 1차적으로. JPEG 2000의 처리 과정을 살펴보고 전처리 단계인 색공간 변환 알고리즘 적용을 위하여 사용자 정의의 쓰레드 기반 고속처리를 수행하였다. 실험 결과 기존의 처리보다 사용자 정의 기반 쓰레드 고속처리가 초고화질 해상도 이미지(UHD 8K : $7680{\times}4320$)를 기준으로 최대 15배의 성능 향상의 결과를 보여주었다.

Image Quality Improvement in Computed Tomography by Using Anisotropic 2-Dimensional Diffusion Based Filter (비등방성 2차원 확산 기반 필터를 이용한 전산화단층영상 품질 개선)

  • The purpose of this study was tried to remove the noise and improve the spatial resolution in the computed tomography (CT) by using anisotropic 2-dimensional (2D) diffusion based filter. We used 4-channel multi-detector CT and american association of physicists in medicine (AAPM) phantom was used for CT performance evaluation to evaluate the image quality. X-ray irradiation conditions for image acquisition was fixed at 120 kVp, 100 mAs and scanned 10 mm axis with ultra-high resolution. The improvement of anisotropic 2D diffusion filtering that we suggested firstly, increase the contrast of the image by using histogram stretching to the original image for 0.4%, and multiplying the individual pixels by 1.2 weight value, and applying the anisotropic diffusion filtering. As a result, we could distinguished five holes until 0.75 mm in the original image but, five holes until 0.40 mm in the image with improved anisotropic diffusion filter. The noise of the original image was 46.0, the noise of the image with improved anisotropic 2D diffusion filter was decreased to 33.5(27.2%). In conclusion improved anisotropic 2D diffusion filter that we proposed could remove the noise of the CT image and improve the spatial resolution.
