  • This paper is purpose to research system use, ubiquitous convenience considering ubiquitous system and system use, ubiquitous convenience considering user satisfaction. In this study system use was signification influenced by system quality, instantly connectivity, and user satisfaction use was signification influenced by system quality, information quality. But system use was not signification influenced by information quality, service quality and ubiquitous convenience was not signification influenced by service quality, instantly connectivity.

  • The growth in the use of ubiquitous computing based on mobile services as an enabler to conduct business more effectively has been phenomenal. Technology acceptance model (TAM) has been applied in different contexts to examine a wide range of information technologies (IT). As more and more companies are finding ways to utilize ubiquitous computing based on mobile services, an important issue is to understand what factors will impact the decisions of consumers in adopting the services. Based on TAM with three additional groups of external factors, i.e., service-related factors (ubiquitous access, context awareness) and technology-related factors (perceived security risk, network connectivity) that are theoretically justified as having influence on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use which are additionally considered, a research model for the investigated technology acceptance was developed and empirically examined, using responses from more than intended users of ubiquitous computing based on mobile services. The specific purposes of this study are as follows. Firstly, this study is to identify service beliefs considering unique characteristics for ubiquitous services such as perceived ubiquitous access and perceived context awareness. Secondly, this study is to investigate network characteristics beliefs such as perceived security and perceived connectivity. Thirdly, this paper investigates the relationship among variables such as ubiquitous characteristics, network characteristics, behavioral beliefs, and intention to use ubiquitous web services. This study uses a structural equation model to test the research model. The major results of this study are as follows. Firstly, ubiquitous access has a influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Context awareness has an influence on perceived usefulness. Secondly, User familiarity has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and intention to use. User innovativeness has an influence on perceived ease of use. Thirdly, perceived security risk has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Network connectivity has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Fourth, there exist differential effects among factors in structural model among information, transaction, and entertainment services.

An Empirical Analysis of the Influence of Connectivity and Context-Awareness Functions of Ubiquitous Decision Support System (UDSS) on User's Decision Making Process (유비쿼터스 의사결정지원시스템의 접속성과 상황인식기능이 사용자 의사결정과정에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study is aimed at proposing a new approach to designing UDSS (Ubiquitous Decision Support System) which allows context-awareness and connectivity. In the previous studies, the need to design UDSS and analyze its performance empirically was raised. However, due to the complexity of empirical approaches, there is no study attempting to tackle this research issue so far. To fill this research void, this study proposes a Mobile Delivery System (MDS) as a form of UDSS, empirically analyzing how users perceive its context-awareness and connectivity functions. Especially, to add more rigor to the proposed approach to know how much it works well in the decision-making contexts, we considered three decision making phases (intelligence, design, choice) in the research model. With the valid questionnaires collected from 340 users of the MDS, we induced statistically proven results showing that both context-awareness and connectivity of the proposed UDSS (or MDS) influence the decision making steps positively and then contribute to improving the decision making quality.

  • In Korea, u-City has been constructed as IT-based new city with introduction of the ubiquitous concept. However, most currently provided u-services are just monitoring services based on the USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology, so spatial analysis is insufficient. Especially, buildings have been rapidly constructed and expanded in multi-levels, and people spend a lot of time in indoor space, so indoor spatial analysis is necessary. Therefore, connectivity relationship in indoor space is analyzed using the topological data model. Topological relationships could be redefined due to the dynamic changes of environment in indoor space, and changes could have an effect on analysis results. In this paper, the algorithms of finding isolated zones is developed by analyzing connectivity relationship between space objects in built-environments after changes of environment in indoor space due to specific situation such as fire. And the system that visualizes isolated zones as well as three-dimensional data structure of indoor space is developed to get the analysis result by using the analysis algorithms.

  • The mobile computing environment has already matured and mobile services are activated throughout many industries. In the following years, these changes are expected to evolve into a ubiquitous computing environment. In the meantime, whether newly developed information technologies will thrive or diminished depends on user's intention to adopt them. Hence, the necessity of user-centered research considering ubiquitous computing in mobile computing environment is obvious. This study, thus, investigated ubiquitous factors in various literature related to ubiquitous computing and technology acceptance and it proposes a research model of the ubiquitous factors affecting user's intention to use mobile services, in terms of meaning(connectivity, mobility), service(contextual offer), compatibility(compatibility), and infrastructure(privacy, truth). The proposed model is expected to help both researchers and practitioners extend their understanding about the ubiquitous factors in mobile computing environment

  • This paper deals with the method will be able to support a common interface softly for the different with each other operating system users in next generation ubiquitous network. To controls in proxy servers that data portion be able to use commonly such as each different instruction, metaphor, image based on operating system, icons, it will be able to increases the efficiency of bandwidth use and minimizes a duplication transmission data from inside the bandwidth which is limited. Also it will be able to do method of common user interface provision to support seamless connectivity with each different network devices in the next generation.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify factors on the user's intention of reusing mobile app-based tourism contents and the relationship among those factors. For those purpose, we expanded the existing TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) by introducing the variables such as characteristics of mobile app-based tourism contents, which are context, ubiquitous connectivity, service quality and perceived value as external variables of the TAM. The survey was conducted by users who have previously experienced mobile app-based tourism contents. Structural equation modeling was used to Investigate the relationships between the factors. The results showed that the ubiquitous connectivity and perceived value were found to have a positive impact on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The perceived usefulness were found to have a positive impact on the attitude. Finally, The attitude were found to have a positive impact on the user's intention of reusing.

  • This study examined the sub - dimensions of mobile food platform service characteristics and verified how they affect the usability, usability and re - use intention. The data collection is from February 11, 2019 to February 28, 2019. The researcher visited the food service company and presented the questionnaire by direct interview. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows. First, the ubiquitous connectivity and interactivity of the mobile eater platform service have a significant effect on ease of use, but the situational awareness has no significant effect. Second, ubiquitous connectivity, situational awareness, and interactivity have a significant effect on usability, and ease of use has a significant effect on usability. Third, ubiquitous connectivity has a significant effect on re - use intention, and situational awareness and interactivity have a significant effect on re - use intention. Fourth, ease of use has no significant effect on re-use intention, but usefulness has a significant effect on re-use intention.
