Design of LED Lamp Circuits for UV Gel Nail (UV 젤 네일을 위한 LED 램프 회로 설계)

  • Use of UV gel for nail management have been increasing gradually. In order to develop an UV lamp necessary to UV gel, in this study, we was designed circuits of the UV-LED lamp. Power supply part that supplies constant power to the several UV-LEDs, was designed the circuit with the method of DC-DC converter. Taking into account the direction of the thumb nail and the position of the little finger nail, it was placed UV-LEDs. Input power of the power supply part was used as a battery voltage of 3.8[V]. The output voltage of the power supply part was appeared in approximately 3.1[V]. And in order to examine the state of change of the output voltage according to the amount of current consumption of UV-LEDs, after inserting of load resister, the output voltage was more than about 3.0[V] in the simulation results of the power supply part while changing the resistance value.

  • To minimize the financial loss due to power facility malfunction, on-line diagnostic techniques are required to grasp any abnormal state of facilities in the live line as well as devices to diagnose abnormal states of power facility in an easy and prompt manner. This study aims to develop a portable UV detecting system by means of UV sensors for easier and efficient inspection of the degradation state of power facility in a long distance. Accordingly, it includes a simulation of corona discharges that may occur due to degradation of power facility and detection of ultraviolet pulse generation depending on the corona discharge intensity and measuring distance in application of UV sensors. Additionally, the optimal algorithm is determined for its application to the system's degradation diagnosis program based on the measured experiment data.

  • To prevent any accident in electric power utilities, many researches for inspection and diagnosis deteriorations occurring by corona discharges have been continuously studying. Inspection and diagnosis of electric power utility is very important to prevent an accident. This paper studies a measurement of ultra-violet(UV) ray of corona discharges on polymer insulators using an UV sensor array with an optic lens. The detection of an UV signal begins at 60kV, which is about 37.5% of the breakdown voltage of the polymer insulator and the stronger the high voltage increased to the polymer insulator was. It can be determined that the polymer insulator mounted on a live part must be examined when the discharge risk exceeds approximately 40%. In conclusion, the status of power utilities can be checked using an UV sensor.

  • We have studied the effect of temperature and exposure time on the UV curing rate of Urethane Acrylate. UV dose has been modulated by changing the electric power, and temperature has been controled by coating rate and water temperature of the coating roll. Curing rate was evaluated by measuring gel fraction of the cured film. It has been found that effect of coating velocity on the gel fraction of the final film is predominant, but role of temperature of the UV chamber is negligible. These observations imply that exposure time of UV light is critical to have a fully cured film. To better understand the effect of design and operating condition of UV coater on the behavior of UV curing of Urethane Acrylate, we have also conducted heat-flux analysis of UV chamber.

  • This paper describes the diagnosis techniques using UV images taken in the field under energized condition of power equipments in order to figure out and analyze the abnormal states on the terminals of power equipments. To classify the features of the terminals, the counted No. of the corona generated at the terminals is defined. According to the result detected, the No. of corona detected on the power equipments installed inside a building is less than that installed outside a building, and it strongly depends on the environment and installed condition. Thus, the environmental condition needs enhanced, and stable operation by the periodic inspection under energized condition of the power equipments is required. Especially, the event counting technique using UV camera is useful for the power equipments apart more than 20 m to apply, and there can be an error due to the features of the sensing techniques when the distance between the user and the objects is close less than 15 m. Therefore, the experimental result shows that event counting technique is employed in the case of the distance more than 15 m. The electrical safety can be ensured by using the UV detection technique and the criteria.

  • Research on power inductor surface UV printing equipment using cylindrical magnets can prevent damage to quality consumable materials (making plates, Squeegees) during printing and improve printing quality by applying technology to prevent product from flipping or standing up when fixing the product by making the magnetic formation of cylindrical magnets form up and down. The development of cylindrical magnets that changed the direction of magnetic force will stabilize the fixing method for metal products made by powder compression, increasing the production capacity for small products. Finally, by studying the power inductor surface UV printing device using cylindrical magnets, it can be differentiated from the spray and deeping methods that were being worked on, production will be greatly improved, and as a result, cost reduction and competitive production will be possible.

  • UV-IR camera is being used for predictive maintenance of high voltage equipment together with measurement of temperature on localized heat and corona discharge. This paper was suggested the judgement method that is the discharge count, UV image pattern and discharge matching rate to apply the UV-IR camera on power facility. The discharge count method is counted by UV image pixel value. the UV image pattern method is determined by the UV image shape using neural network algorithm method, separated by Sunflower, Jellyfish, Ameba. The UV discharge matching is compare the breakdown the UV image size and measuring UV image size according to distance.

  • UV inspection technology is being used for predictive maintenance of power facility together with IR-thermography and ultrasonic devices. In this paper, the UV corona camera design, fabrication, and perform a simple test to be take advantage of the diagnostic equipment. The UV corona camera developed a $6.4^{\circ}{\times}4.8^{\circ}$ of the field of view as a conventional camera to diagnose a wide range of slightly enlarged, and power equipment to measure the distance between the camera and the distance meter has been attached. The transmission between 250 to 280nm was 11% ($12.5%{\times}88%{\times}98%$) by combing the transmission on absorption film, window and other filter(UG 5, nickel sulphate and so on). In a distance of 5m with the UV corona camera it is possible to detect partial discharge with a PD level of 2.5pC and a RIV level of $3.6dB{\mu}V$.

Removal of Total Organic Carbon and Micropollutants in Tertiary Treated Sewage by Medium Pressure UV/H2O2 (중압 자외선과 과산화수소 공정을 이용한 하수 3차 처리수중 총유기탄소와 미량오염물질 제거)

  • This study evaluated the applicability of UV-AOP process using medium-pressure UV lamp and H2O2 to remove TOC and emerging micropollutants in the effluent from a sewage treatment plant. The UV lamp with higher output(1.6~8.0 kW) showed slightly higher amount of power in removing TOC of 1 mg/L(0.09 kWh/mg/L~0.11 kWh/mg/L), however it was found that there was no significant difference for each cases. In addition, under the condition that the H2O2 concentration is sufficient, as the power consumption of the UV lamp increases, the unit TOC removal concentration per unit H2O2 decomposition concentration also increases, resulting in effective removal of TOC. The removal rate of 7 new trace contaminants, such as antibiotics by the UV-AOP tested, was at least 89.4%, and the ability to remove the emerging micro pollutants in the process was very effective. But, it was judged that it could not be excluded that the probablity of transforming to oxidated by-product in the case of a low TOC removal efficiency. Depending on the operating conditions of the UV and H2O2 processes, a higher BOD concentration is found in the treated water than in the influent, and it is necessary to review the UV power and proper injection conditions of H2O2 to maintain the BOD concentration increase below a certain level.

  • For the detection of the state of charge in VRFB-ESS, the analyses of UV-Visible spectrometry and the measurements of potential between the anolyte and catholyte were used in parallel. This paper includes the production of 4-valant ion from VOSO4 powder, 3- and 5-valant ions from electrochemical charge of 4-valant ion and 2-valant ion from 3-valant ion. It also includes the analyses of these valance ions and unknown electrolyte at any time using UV-Visible spectrometry. Through the analyses of the valance ions in samples, the SOCs of the samples at any charge-discharge times were verified.
