  • In this paper, we describes a design of Wireless Mesh Network based middleware that applied into USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Networks). WMN based middleware is a technique which links data between widely distributed sensor devices and WMN for context-awareness. The use of WMN base middleware in this paper makes possible communication on insufficiently network constructed area by use of WMN. WMN based middleware also anaylze events comprehensively that originated from specific sensor device. Based on the result from analyzed data with predetermined value WMN based middleware will given an order to designated actuator devices. Middleware operate each function of sensor network management and application service separately.

  • Recently research efforts for ubiquitous technology that includes RFID(Radio Frequency Deification and sensor networks are conducted very actively The architectural framework of the USN sensor network discovery service. The survey of the USN technology is conducted on four technological visions that contain USN system technology USN networking technology and USN middleware along with the service platform, With respect to each technological division domestic and worldwide leading research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research outputs. Boasted on the result of the survey we establish a USN software model that includes data sensing, sensor data storage sensor data storage sensor data naming and sensor feed name service. This main objective of this model is to provide a reference model for the facilitation of USN application developments.

  • In this paper, e-Meters middleware and applications using standardized middleware in the EPCglobal is suggested. An standardized middleware of the EPCglobal is designed to manage as a form of SCM and other logistics. In order to support a variety of services using RFID-based, the system must be able to support each protocol. The main features of e-Meters middleware is consist of information status and delivery, distributed database processing, event data analysis, and handling. To operate real time e-Meters system information, The realized middleware is configured to process the results of data collection.

  • In this paper, we define EMRA-based USN metadata to describe sensor device, sensor node, and sensor network information at the application level. And the proposed method for effectively storing and retrieving USN metadata based on EMRA uses agent technology. As the sensor metadata proposed in this paper is based on SensorML, interoperability can be maintained in the USN environment, and the metadata management system can be directly utilized for metadata management in USN middleware or applications.

  • USN 환경은 다양한 센서들을 이용하여 사용자에게 보다 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이러한 USN 환경에 존재하는 센서들은 이종이며 무수한 응용들과 요구사항을 충족하기 위한 다양한 센서 네트워크들과 응용들 사이에서 동작하는 미들웨어가 반드시 필요하다. 기존의 미들웨어에서는 이기종 센서들 간의 통합에 중점을 두고, 센서데이터를 통한 정보 획득 부분은 미흡한 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 미흡한 부분인 정보 획득 부분을 센서 데이터 패턴분석을 이용한 이상치 탐색을 통하여 중요한 여러 응용에서 유용하게 제공됨을 예를 통하여 보인다.

  • 본 논문은 USN 미들웨어에서 정보보호를 위한 워터마킹에 대한 처리 기술 개발을 목표로 한다. 기존의 USN과 정보보호기술에 대해 분석하고, 이를 워터마킹을 이용한 관점에서 정보보호 처리기술을 연구 분석한다. 디지털 영상에 워터마크를 삽입해 영상이 원본인지 아닌지 확인하는 기술을 응용해 USN의 미들웨어에서 효과적으로 활용하고, 이를 응용한 정보보호기술에 대해 제안한다.

  • 최근 들어 인간 중심의 정보화 사회가 USN 기술의 발전과 더불어, 사물 간에도 정보들이 유기적으로 결합되고 활용될 수 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 사회로 급격히 변모하고있다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 사회를 성공적으로 구축하기 위해서는 센서노드 하드웨어, 센서 네트워크, USN 미들웨어, 그리고 USN 응용 서비스 등의 USN 핵심기술의개발이 반드시 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 USN 응용 시스템과 센서노드 하드웨어의 중간 부분에 위치하여, 이 둘 간의 유연한 통합을 지원할 수 있는 USN 미들웨어 기술에 대하여 자세히 소개하고자 한다. 먼저, Server-side 미들웨어와 In-network 미들웨어로 구성된 USN 미들웨어의 개념, USN 미들웨어가 제공해야 할 핵심기능들, 그리고 기존에 발표된 USN 미들웨어의 특징에 대하여 살펴보고, 이러한 USN 미들웨어의 특징을 반영하여 현재 ETRI에서 개발되고 있는 USN 미들웨어 플랫폼의 시스템 구성과 이를 활용한 응용 시스템에 대하여 간략히 살펴볼 것이다.

  • Modern society encounters various accidents due to industrialization and numbers of studies are going on to minimize damage from accidents. For prevention of accidents, it is necessary to design a system that helps making accurate judgment in emergency cases and is able to instantly manage each contingency. Various studies are currently going on contingency information system under ubiquitous environment. However, there have not been sufficient studies on the system that is able to monitor and process multiple contingencies and thus we still have difficulties in coping with multiple contingencies promptly. This study designs a RFID/USN middleware system for multiple contingencies control that receives data from various kinds of sensors and saves data after time marking thus is able to provide conjectured context when requested.
