  • 유비쿼터스가 21세기 정보통신 분야의 최대 화두로 떠오르고 있는 가운데 각종 상품에 생산자의 생산.유통.판매 정보를 등록시켜 소비자가 필요한 보를 얻을 수 있도록 하는 RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)와 각종 센서에서 수집한 정보를 무선으로 실시간 관리할 수 있는 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)은 미래 유비쿼터스 사회의 핵심이며 사회 경제적 기본 인프라로 주목받고 있다. 현재 이러한 유비쿼터스 신기술을 산업에 조기 적용하기 위한 정부와 민간차원의 노력이 한창 진행 중이며, 특허 정부는 국민소득 3만 달러 조기 달성을 목표로 지난 2004년 3월 수립한 IT839 전략 아래 8대 서비스와 5대 신성장동력에 속하는 RFID와 USN 기술의 적용을 위해 다각도의 노력을 해오고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 활발하게 진행되고 있는 RFID/USN의 개념 및 기술에 대한 동향과 향후 시장 전망에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

  • Along with the advance of USN technology in a human-oriented informatization society these days, society is quickly changing into a ubiquitous computing society in which information even between objects can be organically combined and utilized. In order to successfully build such a ubiquitous computing society, it is indispensable to have core USN technologies such as USN sensor nodes, sensor networks, USN middleware, and USN applied services that efficiently manage sensing information collected from sensor nodes, and support the abstraction function for the composition of sensor networks. In order to process the transmission event of sensing values that are generated from various USN terminal devices, this study designs a process that performs the abstraction of data for the efficient process of diverse sensing values transferred from USN and RFID terminal devices.

Development of u-Farm Information Architecture and Information Management Technology based on RFID/USN for the Agricultural Sector (RFID/USN 기반 농업분야 u-IT 적용을 위한 u-Farm 정보 아키텍처 및 정보 관리기술 개발)

  • Generally, because individual agricultural product possesses its own distinctive characteristics and shows different characteristics at each stage of the agricultural supply chain, it is necessary to develop a proper enterprise architecture for managing information system. In this paper, we propose an enterprise architecture based on RFID/USN technology that can be used as a reference enterprise architecture for u-IT application in the agriculture sectors, which is called the u-Farm enterprise architecture with taking heterogeneous characteristics of agricultural products into account for. In addition, we also developed the RFID/USN middleware platform as a core infrastructure technology. Fo evaluation of the performance of the proposed u-Farm architecture and the RFID/USN middleware platform, the field-trial evaluation at the apple Agricultural Processing Center (APC) has been executed and the results shows that the proposed architecture and platform perform well in terms of information integration over the whole SCM process from the farming stage to delivering statge to the customers. It is expected that the proposed u-Farm enterprise architecture can be utilized as a standard information architecture, and the RFID/USN middleware platform can be a infrastructure platform for future u-IT based information technology applications and services in the agricultural environment.

  • The rapid spread of Internet and network technology advances the current USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) in order to realize research is taking place. USN individual sensor information of the sensor nodes to provide the service is equipped with various kinds of sensors. To do this, you can use a service unspecified XML-based Web services to leverage in the standardized data representation language is needed. In this paper, the required sensor information expressed in a standardized form for USN application service was designed in the sensor data representation language. The USN-based technologies and services in the field will be utilized to activate.

  • Nowadays there are many studies and there's huge development about USN/RFID which have great developmental potential to many kinds of applications. More and more real time application apply USN/RFID technology to identify data collect and locate objects. Wide deployment of USN/RFID will generate an unprecedented volume of primitive data in a short time. Duplication and redundancy of primitive data will affect real time performance of application. Thus, security applications must filter primitive data and correlate them for complex pattern detection and transform them to events that provide meaningful, actionable information to end application. In this paper, we design a ECA Rule system for security monitoring of exhibition. This system will process USN/RFID primitive data and event and perform data transformation. It's had applied each now in exhibition hall through this study and efficient data transmission and management forecast that is possible.

  • Many studies are being applied for various parts of USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology. The world's large retail stores and warehouses that apply logistic management are also studied. With this, USN technology is increasing in its utilization. However, to handle and process real-time data will never be never easy if these huge warehouses are using too many sensors, and real-time data correction is almost impossible. Software implementation and high-speed hardware are insufficient to solve these complex problems. To solve this problem, a key solution is to implement high-speed software. Hence, this paper suggests a USN logistics management system that applies pipelining techniques for efficiency in real-time data correction and reduces errors of generated values.

  • Recently, the USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is emerging as an aspect of digital convergence trends which is being rapidly evolving in the whole society. The technological feasibility for the various application services using the USN is researched in numerous industries, but, in the agricultural field, the market of USN application service, technology adoption and commercialization have been delayed. In the agricultural field, the ubiquitous technologies could lead to huge change in the conventional surroundings such as growth environment of livestock, crop cultivation and harvest. In this paper, to offer a integrated management, we construct a u-swinery(ubiquitous swinery) system which is consisted with USN environmental sensors to collect information from physical phenomenon such as luminance, relative humidity, temperature and ammonia gas. Numbers of CCTV were also installed to monitor inside and outside of the swinery. The u-swinery integrated management system can monitor and control the condition of swinery from remote sites. Furthermore, by gathering the cumulative environmental data from the system, the optimal growth condition for the livestock could be created.

  • Recently, construction work has diversified and become larger. So, a systematic measurement and management measures are required. In this study, USN technology which is one of the most important network technologies was selected. Based on elements derived from comparison of each element of standard was calculated according to the importance of the elements. The importance of the decision to support the proposed model is explained by integrating the importance of each criteria and decision-support model by considering the situation and creating a matrix of considerations for the construction of earthwork. The results of this study show that USN technology in the context of judging criteria can be selected for the earthwork.

  • Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN) is the very core of a technology for the Ubiquitous environments. There is the weakness from various security attacks such that tapping of sensor informations, flowing of abnormal packets, data modification and Denial of Service(DoS) etc. And it's required counterplan with them. Especially it's restricted by the capacity of battery and computing. By reasons of theses. positively, USN security technology needs the lightweighted design for the low electric energy and the minimum computing. In this paper, we propose lightweight USN mutual authentication methology based on trust model to solve above problems. The proposed authentication model can minimize the measure of computing because it authenticates the sensor nodes based on trust information represented by subjective logic model. So it can economize battery consumption and resultingly increse the lifetime of sensor nodes.

  • Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN) , the core technology for the Ubiquitous environments ,must be operated in the restrictive battery capacity and computing. From this cause, USN needs the lightweight design for low electric energy and the minimum computing. The previous mutual authentication. based on J$\emptyset$sang's trust model, in USN has a character that makes the lightweight mutual authentication possible in conformity with minimum computing. But, it has an imperfection at the components of representing the trust from a lightweight point of view. In this paper, we improve on the J$\emptyset$sang's trust model to apply a lightweight mutual authentication in USN. The proposed trust model in USN defines the trust information with the only degree of trust-entity(x)'s belief. The defined trust information has a superiority over the J$\emptyset$sang's trust model from a computing Point of view. because it computes information by Probability and logic operation(AND).
