A Process Reference Model Development for RFID/USN Technologies based Next Generation Intelligent Construction Supply Chain Management (RFID/USN기술 기반의 차세대 지능형 건설물류관리 프로세스 레퍼런스 모델)

  • A lot of changes are required in a management method of a project because the character of construction projects gets bigger and higher gradually. Especially, for the efficiency of the management method the plans of various viewpoints focused on the construction supply chain field that the technical application of Ubiquitous Technologies such as RFID/USN is being advanced actively are presented. Recently, the introduction of the intelligent equipment which is developed for intelligence of construction site requires the new process model in the construction supply chain management on the construction site. Therefore, this study is to propose the intelligent construction supply chain reference model development in order to provide the guide that the numerous materials for construction could easily be applied in the changed process, as mentioned above, by overcoming the limit of the existing construction supply chain process which is proposed as bar codes and RFID/USN based individual material types and reflecting the change factors like the intelligent equipment of construction supply chain management.

  • The existing wired emergency call such as 119, 112 have its own location information to serving immediate rescue service. For the case of wireless emergency call by mobile phone, the location information should be provided by wireless network. This paper describes the network architecture and protocol for mobile emergency service referring TIAlEWJ-SID-036-A with reviews about technical issues, legacy factors and related researches. The mobile emergency service is divided into mobile emergency rescue service and mobile emergency alert service. The network reference model for mobile emergency rescue service is released in KOREA. In this paper, the interfaces between elements of the network reference model, and service scenarios, message flows are defined. Supplement to mobile emergency rescue service, the network reference model, interfaces and message flows for mobile emergency alert service are developed. The protocol is described by DID, and the proposed works are on processing for domestic standard of TTA.

  • Abilities of sensing and communication are vested in private things of actual space, therefore, Ubiquitous Computing which is offered various services with human approach will be common in the future society. For the realization of this Ubiquitous Service requires some technique such as situations of environment and recognition of locations by the Sensor Network, then sensor data have to be transferred to an application service after processes. However, there are some hindrances for communication between an application service and sensor data, these are that accessibility of data usefulness and problems of Platform and protocol in each sensors. In this paper, suggest a reference model that is independent from platform and implementation language, for USN application service with using standardized protocol.

  • Integrated Urban Spatial Information Management Platform (USIMP) is defined as an operational environment where technologies for intelligent management of urban facilities are made possible through the integration of diverse technologies such as sensors for ground and underground facilities, middleware technology, wired and wireless network, GIS-USN linkage. To make the integration of these diverse technology possible, it is imperative to have a sound reference model for the platform. This paper provides a standardized reference model for USIMP based on the RM-OPD(Reference Model for Open Distributed Processing) standard.

The survey of the USN technology is conducted on four technological visions that contain USN system technology USN networking technology and USN middleware along with the service platform, With respect to each technological division domestic and worldwide leading research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research outputs. Boasted on the result of the survey we establish a USN software model that includes data sensing, sensor data storage sensor data storage sensor data naming and sensor feed name service. This main objective of this model is to provide a reference model for the facilitation of USN application developments.

  • This paper introduces development of location estimation and navigation system of mobile robots using USN and LEGO Mindstorms NXT. Developed system includes location estimation, location and navigation information display and navigation control parts. It used ZigBee based USN which was built with CC2431 chip to locate blind node and implemented fuzzy model to improve ability of calculation of distances from reference nodes and location of mobile robots. This paper proposed combination method of location estimation using USN and encoder which is built in motors of mobile robots. Experimental results showed proposed method is superior to the method which used USN only in location estimation and navigating robots. Developed system can locate current position of mobile robots and monitor information from sensor nodes like temperature, humidity and send control signal to mobile robot to move.

  • Recently, as the dissemination of the Internet and development of computer network technology, Research is actively underway for realization of the next-generation computing paradigm called Ubiquitous Computing. For realization of Ubiquitous computing, The data recognized from each sensors must be collected on real-time and transferred to applied service so that they may be used as data for providing service to users. However, there are several problem for realization. First, there is no standardization of sensor metadata, interface and event definition. Second, applied service has weak point that difficult of approaching to the data. Third, none interoperability with each platform and protocol. In this paper, we designed Sensor Service Description Language based on XML to resolve problem above. This Language expresses the measurement of the sensor and Service Metadata in the form to be standardized. In addition, we have proposed and development a reference model for USN application service.

  • USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) is a core infrastructure that u-life use to enable the realization in the ubiquitous society through various services of area such as u-city, u-Health. Therefore, we need a research for domestic standards to establish USN technique. Currently, status of USN standards is most standard and research that it is a technology for sensor node implementation and a protocol for energy-efficient communication and interlock with existing network. But, Standard and research for sensor network and integration management of heterogeneous sensor networks for USN application and sensing data management and USN database structure definition such as application and middleware is weak level. In this paper, we researched for standard development of domestic a sensor network and the relevant standard analysis to configure SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) of OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) for standarded plattform technology. Also we researched that it's a connection between domestic ITA(Telecommunications Technology Association) standards and SWE Standard.

  • USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) environment that provides the service measured from sensors in real-time the information is delivered to application service. However, domestic service, application service provider environment between providers and users, most of the research are on the service platform architecture, and process the information detected by sensors between the providers of standard services platform architecture, which is a very weak level. In this paper, we proposed new service architecture though analysis of the OGC SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) with standards and research analysis of domestic standards. And we designed and implemented to each component of provider side.
