Development of Smart Phone Application With Spectrometer for u-Health Service (u-Health 서비스를 위한 스마트폰용 스펙트럼 측정 시스템 개발)

  • Ubiquitous healthcare is a recent technology and a new methodology of medical diagnosis and medical care. However, in order for u-Healthcare service to become a general technology, there are some technological barriers(mobility, minimization, battery consumption etc) to overcome. In this paper, we developed a spectrum analysis system for smart phones. The results showed that compared to other solutions, our's were not only small in size but also almost the same in performance(reproducibility comparison experiments, Spectrum, Calibration Curve and Prediction). Therefore, the proposed solution is expected to be widely used in u-Health area.

  • This article presents a methodology for the monitoring of air pollution. All over the world, the interest in the environment has been continuously increasing. Unfortunately, much of this interest is due to emerging problems, such as the greenhouse effect and climate change. For this reason, research into carbon dioxide, which causes the greenhouse effect, is progressing rapidly. This article presents a method of measuring the level of carbon dioxide and other substances in the air through the utilization of mobile-networking base stations and measured data. First of all, sensors are attached at the appropriate position of the mobile-networking base stations. These sensors will measure the air quality in their respective positions, and send sensor data to an urban management center via network gateways and data-collecting systems. The measured data can be used for various purposes. In general, it can be used to measure the air quality, which can then be used as a basis for urban planning. The method described herein utilizes airpollution sensors that are attached to the base stations in different locations and at varying heights. The data obtained hereby will be applicable in many fields. At this time this is simply a methodology, however we hope that it will lead to a practical application.

  • Presently, all nations think importantly about an industry and environment. While importance of the environmental field is recognized and the natural environment preservation is importantly regarded, importance of the advanced prevention of the natural disaster and disaster are emphasized. By using the small sensor, the Ubiquitous Sensor Network obtains and processes a neighboring information. And the information is provided through the air interface to the other sensor. Presently, the several kinds of disasters and society safety accident increase around the world. In this paper, the intelligent crisis management strategy and the application field which uses the sensor network technology of the IT based so that nations can go on living safely are inquired.

  • Convergence being process varietly and quickly, with complex products and services based on digital technology and with start its creating new form of products and service, influenced to diversity of consumers need, and social trend. Thus, in this paper, convergence it presents the application instance according to variation of the convergence commit, and observed the advantage which is the possibility of appearing from here, it has the necessity of the effect and the policy preparatio, appearing on it try the electronic government of domestic convergence with role of the u-Gov due to an evolution with convergence, for it attains the administrative idea which u-Gov pursues. And by convergence analysis of issue, hereafter it presented a policy propulsion direction of convergence.

  • The development of USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is creating numerous application areas. Although a network configuration with fixed sensors was the norm in the past, the coexistence of mobile and fixed sensor nodes is a new trend. Fixed sensor networks focused on the energy efficiency of nodes, but the latest studies consider guaranteeing the mobility of nodes and maintaining their connectivity, while remaining energy efficient at the same time. This paper proposes a routing protocol for a mobile ad-hoc sensor network that improves the mobility, connectivity and energy efficiency of nodes while allowing for the management and maintenance of a large number of nodes even in a complex communication environment where mobile and fixed nodes coexist. An algorithm for multi-hop multi-paths, a technique for topology reconfiguration by node movement prediction and vibration sensors, path setting for a large number of nodes, and efficient data transfer technology have been introduced to implement the modified LEAHC-AOMDV protocol. Furthermore, the excellence of this protocol was verified through a comparative experiment with the conventional LEACH protocol.

  • For realizing ubiquitous computing, many research activities are geared towards various areas including embedded computing, RFID, USN, home networking, context-awareness, and etc. By using the ability of RFID technology to recognize a number of objects simultaneously, more convenient ubiquitous application services are effectively provided. In this case, RFID middleware playing a role as a bridge between RFID reader devices and application services is required as well. In this paper, we propose a method of handling a number of types of RFID reader devices in ALE middleware of EPCglobal. For this, the information of connection and data protocol for a reader device is stored in a database as ontology meta-data, and used to interpret the data read by a reader device. By adding ontology data into a database, even though an RFID device newly emerges, ALE middleware can not only handle the device, but also be effectively extended through reusing ontology data, without any changes in the middleware.

  • Recently, as shown demands and the need for Cloud dig data, large-scale data centers, as well as factory unit's have also vigor. This study focuses the system design that can integrate various facilities on the data center build upon of the factory and the midsize group. Because the integrated facilities management of midsize groups should have variety of sensors and devices requires integrated monitoring system that can manage them as a whole. In this study, it constitutes a integrated model protocol interface of the various facilities, it suggests ways to avoid the errors that may occur during design to study the development and systematically carried out. For this purpose, this study provides the analysis of a failure information delivery time and integration scenario for efficient analysis and evaluation of an integrated monitoring system.

  • A research of grid computing that is the combination of computer resources from multiple distributed administrative domains to get large amount of computing power is underway. This research is an application of grid technology on a urban facilities management system based on u-GIS. The sensors are set up in the urban facilities to make it monitoring. If an amount of sensors and gateways is increased, the server needs more computing resources to process the data. In this study we developed the skills that can distribute jobs to idle gateway, in case of the server capacity had approached threshold. It will be possible to develop of economic and efficient system that will apply to large amount of data processing about u-City.

A Study of Convergence Application Service as in u-Gov (u-Gov에 있어서 컨버전스 응용 서비스 연구)

  • As the acceleration of digital convergence has been deepen and extended to convergence of human, things, and space, the various forms of convergence have been appeared and extended. This paper presents the aim of the system's change which embodies the collaborative electronic government of the application service, which applies the UIT as the changed feature from e-Gov to u-Gov and attains the administrative idea which the u-Gov pursues. It analyzes and applies the propulsive plan of the policies to u-Gov, which is resulted from the variation of the convergence community, and the feature of the UIT, and then it proposed the service model of the new u-Gov with circulation instance adumbration which applies the UIT as the objective realization means of the ultimate administration.

  • The visual motivation between AP devices is NTP-based visual motivation through the access of the Internet through the internal wired LAN, but this has several seconds of visual difference in hundreds of milliseconds (msec) depending on the network. The frame for the output of the video will vary depending on the application, but usually 24 (image) frames are output to the screen in one second. Therefore, the visual synchronization between peripheral devices can be performed through the adjacent moving camera device, not the wired method. The programming method of generating API for synchronization command when creating an application for visual synchronization and delivering it to AP through MAC may differ from the time in synchronization command according to the environment of the operating system at the transmission side and the situation of the buffer queue of the MAC. Therefore, as a method to solve this problem, the renewal of visual information in the device driver terminal controlling MAC can be much more effective.
