온라인 소셜 네트워크의 특성과 사용자의 이용 목적에 대한 탐색적 연구 : 싸이월드, 페이스북, 트위터간의 비교를 중심으로 (An Exploratory Study on the Characteristics of Online Social Network and the Purpose of Customers' Use : A Comparison of Cyworld, Facebook, and Twitter)

  • As the number of SNS users is increasing, it has been very important how companies use SNS strategically. As a result, studies have been performed for the utilization of SNS. Most of the studies, however, focused on the overall characteristics of SNS and did not consider the characteristics of individual SNS. This study classified the main purpose of SNS use as relation-oriented purpose and information-oriented purpose, and identified the types of SNS from two viewpoints : service type and openness. Based on the classification, this study identified the characteristics of Cyworld, Facebook, and Twitter respectively, and analyzed the difference of the purpose of SNS users according to the characteristics of each service. The results showed that more users had the information-oriented purpose in the order of Twitter, Facebook, and Cyworld. There was no difference in the relation-oriented purpose among the three services. The analyses of the motive to join a group or a party made similar results. The results of additional analyses showed that the ratio of users with many acquaintances was high in the order of Facebook, Twitter, and Cyworld. In addition, more users checked their timeline or news feed more frequently in the order of Facebook, Twitter, and Cyworld.

SNS를 떠나는 사람들 : 사용자의 특성과 SNS 피로감 중심으로 SNS 중단의향에 영향을 미치는 사용자 특성 (Why do people leave SNS? : The Influences of the Users' Characteristics and SNS Fatigue)

  • SNS의 폭발적인 성장 이면의 부작용으로 최근 SNS 사용자들은 피로감(SNS Fatigue)을 호소하며, 서비스를 중단하거나 전환하려는 움직임을 보이고 있다. 이에 따라 국내에서는 SNS 연구를 통해 사용자의 피로감이 서비스 지속 사용에 부정적인 영향을 미침을 밝혀왔지만, 사용자의 특성들이 SNS 피로감과 이용에 미치는 영향에 대한 규명은 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 SNS 사용자의 특성(인구구성학적 특성, 성격 특성, SNS 이용 특성)에 집중하여 (1)이에 따른 SNS 피로감 지각과 SNS 중단의향의 차이를 알아보고 (2) 사용자의 특성(인구구성학적 특성, 성격 특성, SNS 이용 특성)이 SNS 중단의향에 미치는 영향을 탐색적으로 알아보았다. 그 결과, 자존감 수준이 낮은 사용자는 자존감 수준이 높은 사용자 보다 더 높은 SNS 피로감과 중단의향을 나타냈으며, 20대 사용자는 40대 사용자보다 더 높은 SNS 중단의향을 보였다. 또한, 사용자의 연령과 자존감 수준이 낮을수록 SNS 중단의향이 높았으며, 피로감 수준이 높고 여성 사용자의 경우 SNS 중단의향이 높았다. 본 연구는 SNS 피로감 외에도 사용자의 여러 가지 특성이 SNS 중단의향에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 조명하였으며, 이와 같은 결과는 점점 더 확대되고 있는 SNS 시장에 실무적 함의를 제시할 것이라 기대한다.

VR뉴스의 이용자 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study of VR News Characteristics on User's Effect: Focused on Recall, Understanding, Enjoyment, Visual Fatigue and Resue Intention)

  • 본 연구는 VR뉴스 속성이 이용자 효과 측면에서 VR뉴스에 대한 기억과 이해도, 즐거움, 눈의 피로도, 그리고 재이용의도에 미치는 영향을 실험연구를 통해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 SPSS 21.0 프로그램과 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 활용하여 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 그리고 경로분석을 통해 주요 결과를 도출하였다. 그 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, VR뉴스 속성 중 실재감과 몰입감은 이용자들의 VR뉴스에 대한 기억에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 실재감과 상호작용, 몰입감 모두가 이용자의 VR뉴스 이해도에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 실재감과 상호작용, 몰입감 모두 즐거움에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 실재감이 눈의 피로도에 통계적으로 유의한 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 실재감과 몰입감이 재이용의도에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 VR뉴스의 속성과 이용자 효과를 이해하는데 있어 중요한 시사점을 제공해줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

최종사용자 컴퓨팅의 실태와 최종사용자 개인적 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the current status of EUC andindividual characteristicsofend-users in Korean firms)

  • This study has two research objectives related to end-user computing (EUC). One of the research objectives was to investigate the current status of EUC of Korean firms. Another research objective was to examine the relationship between individual differences of end-users and EUC success. Using survey data from 752 end-users of 23 firms, the surrent status of EUC and the relationship between individual differences of end-users and EUC success were investigated. The current status of EUC was examined from six perspectives: 1). what is the characteristics of EUC strategy of Korean firms, 2). what are the individual characteristics of end-users in Korean Firms, #0. what are the characteristics of tasks performed by end-users using computer, 4). what are the application a areas of EUC, 5). How end-users are satisfied with the support of firms, 6). what are system usage and satisfaction of end-users. It was also foud that individual differences of end-users are related to EUC success. More specifically, it wat shown that the male gender, younger age, higher level of education, higher rank and organizational tenure, higher math ability, thinking type of cognitive style, positive and optimistic attitudes toward computer, more experience with computer, more computer education and knowledge are individual differences variables associated with EUC success. The results of stepwise regression analysis suggested that the individual difference variables accounted for 14%, 25%, 39% and 30% of the variances of four EUC success variables, satisfaction for outcome, satisfaction for ability, frequency of computer use, and the number of tasks, respectively. These empirical findings suggest that EUC managers should consider individual differences of end-users in managing EUC, such as education, training, support, and human resource management, to maximize potential benefits of EUC.

운영체제 차이에 따른 스마트폰 사용자 성향 (Smartphone Users Characteristics According to Differences between Operating Systems)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 iOS와 안드로이드 운영체제를 중심으로 스마트폰 사용자의 성향을 두 가지 관점(구매성향과 이용성향)에서 탐색적으로 분석하는 것이다. 구매 성향에 대한 연구결과, 두 운영체제 사용자에 따라 스마트폰 선택의 우선순위와 성별 비율에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 존재했다. 그러나 스마트폰 교체주기에는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이용 성향에 대한 연구결과, 두 운영체제 사용자에 따라 설치된 애플리케이션과 가입한 SNS(social network service)의 갯수, 월평균 요금, 그리고 만족도에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그러나 두 운영체제 간 인터넷 사용시간에는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과는 운영체제 개발자, 스마트폰 제조기업, 그리고 애플리케이션 개발자들에게 유의한 함의를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

인터넷 쇼핑몰의 신뢰 결정요인에 관한 국가 간 비교 연구 : 한국.중국 이용자를 대상으로 (A Cross-National Study on the Determinants of Trust in Internet Shopping Mall : Focusing on Korean and Chinese Users)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate factors influencing trust on internet shopping mall and to examine whether these factors on trust have differences between Korean and Chinese users. Based on the literature reviews, this study employs six factors in two groups of influencing factors, web-site characteristics and individual characteristics as key determinants of trust in internet shopping mall. Analysis of 470 responses (Korean: 320 users, Chinese: 150 users) of survey questionnaire indicates the following: In terms of the relationship between web-site characteristics factors and the trust, the results showed clear differences between Korean and Chinese samples. For the Korean samples, transaction security and interactivity were the only significant influencing factors. For the Chinese samples, perceived reputation and perceived size were the only significant factors. In terms of individual characteristics factors, the influencing factors were found identical for the samples. Both propensity to trust and familiarity were significant factors in both Korean and Chinese samples. Based on the findings, managerial implications are discussed in building user trust in internet shopping mall in Korean and Chinese market.

  • 본 연구는 중소 제조 및 서비스업체의 ERP시스템을 사용하고 있는 사용자들을 대상으로 사용자의 직무특성과 임파워먼트가 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 직무특성의 세부 요인인 효율성, 권한위임, 복잡성은 ERP 사용자의 직무만족에 유의한 영향요인으로 분석되었고, 임파워먼트 요인의 업무영향력, 자기결정력, 과업의미성은 사용자의 직무만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인으로 분석되었다. 그러나 역할수행력은 직무만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않는 요인으로 분석되었다. 이러한 분석 결과에 따라 ERP 시스템을 사용하고 있는 중소 제조 및 서비스 기업에서는 ERP 시스템의 사용으로 인하여 대부분의 사용자들은 자신들이 담당하고 있는 직무에 만족하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Smartphone Adoption using Smartphone Use and Demographic Characteristics of Elderly

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate major factors influencing adoption of smartphone to promote its use by older adults. Background: Despite increasing proportion of elderly people and elderly market, the proportion of elderly smartphone user is still relatively small compared to whole smartphone users. Thus, we need to find out major factors influencing adoption of smartphone to increase proportion of elderly smartphone users. Method: Seven major factors were extracted from 36 survey questions using factor analysis. Regression analysis was also applied to determine specific factors affecting intention of use based on user versus non-user of smartphone, age, gender, and educational background. Results: As results of factor analysis and regression analysis, major factors influencing adoption of smartphone for elderly users were significantly different according to gender, age, educational background based on smartphone users or non-users. Conclusion: The result of this study identified major factors influencing adoption of smartphone for the elderly and provided basic information related to adoption of smartphone according to elderly people's characteristics. Consequently, we can expect to reduce the information gap and to improve quality of life for the elderly. Application: The development and marketing strategy could be applied differently based on the factors influencing adoption of smartphone. It is also possible to develop a prediction model for smartphone adoption according to elderly users' characteristics.
