As the era of ubiquitous has come, it is able to have more convenient and efficient operation system since many efforts have devoted to developing an appropriate operation system in the ubiquitous environment and applying RFID/USN technology to various parts in the industry. Also, the port logistics area has considered RFID/USN to develop more efficient port logistics environment and improve their efficiency. Therefore, this study investigates current trends of RFID technology and application cases in the port logistics area since RFID stands in the important position of changes of maritime port environment. This study tries to find possible areas for applying RFID technology and analyze expected effects when RFID is adopted those areas. Lastly, the priority level among the possible RFID application fields in the container terminal has been evaluated by experts' survey.

Sea casulties involving tankers, compared with those incurred by other type of vessels, have become particularly threatening to port State in terms of environmental as well as property damages. As a result, most of developed countries including the U.S.A. and Japan have shown a strong interest in implementing the policy of the Port State Control more rigorously in an attempt to protect themselves from irreparable damages caused by sea casualties involving large vessels. In this paper, the problems associated with the implementation of the Port State Control are analysed and then following recommendations and suggestions are made: ⅰ) The flag nation is urged to improve the quality of personnel associated with the operation of a ship. ⅱ) A closer cooperation between developing nations operating vessels and developed nations adopting the Port State Control is required for a successful implementation of this policy. ⅲ) Port states are advised to give a special attention to vessels carrying hazardous cargoes.

Multi-port($2{\times}2$port, 1port) rectangular waveguide discontinuity problem has been analyzed by use of $TE^x_{mn}$ (mono)mode matching method. Matrix size can be reduced significantly in comparison with $TE_{mn}&TM_{mn}$(full-wave)mode matching method. the present results is compared with those by CST MicroWave Studio to validate the presint method.

컨테이너터미널의 Gate는 컨테이너의 출입구를 의미하는 것 외에 컨테이너 정보의 최초 입력점이라는 중요한 의미를 가지고 있다. 따라서 컨테이너 정보의 정확한 습득을 위해 다양한 컨테이너 변호 인식방법이 사용되고 있으며, 이러한 적용방법에 따라 Gate의 생산성에도 많은 차이가 발생하고 있다. 최근, 정부의 u-IT사업추진에 따라 적용되기 시작한 RFID를 이용한 Gate자동화 방식은 기존시스템에 대한 새로운 접근을 요구하게 되었다. RFID를 이용함에 따라 각 시스템의 단점을 보완하는 정성적 이점과 더불어 정량적 생산성 향상이라는 기대치도 높아지게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 RFID를 이용한 Gate 자동화 시스템과 기존의 Gate시스템과의 생산성 차이를 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증함으로써 RFID 방식의 Gate를 고려하고 있는 컨테이너터미널에 관련된 정보를 제공하고자 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to use DEA modeling to make an analysis on 12 ODCYs in the hinterland of Busan North Port, so that it may propose possible ways to efficiently operate them. For analysis, this study adopted 3 input factors such as CY area, number of employees and number of cargo work equipments and also adopted 1 output factor, i.e. container throughput. According to the analysis DEA-CCR model, it was found that Chunil(YongDang CY) was the most efficient one among companies engaged in the operation of ODCY. And it was found that KCTC(YongDang CY), Kukbo(U-Am CY), KORAIL(BusanJin CY) and Hanjin (JaeSong CY) would need to boost the container throughput 5 or more times higher than current throughput with a view to improving cargo handling efficiency, while Sebang(U-Am CY), KCTC(U-Am CY), KCTC(YongDang CY), Hyopsung(YongDang CY) and Kukbo(U-Am CY) need to work on personnel restructuring targeted to current employees. Based on the analysis DEA-BCC model, it was found that Chunil(YongDang CY), Dongbu(ShinYoung GamMan CY), Intergis(GamMan CY) and Sebang(U-Am CY) were efficient companies, but KCTC(YongDang CY), Kukbo(U-Am CY), KORAIL(BusanJin CY) and Hanjin(JaeSong CY) were inefficient companies. Particularly, it was found that both KCTC(U-Am CY) and Kukbo(U-Am CY) would need to try harder to carry out personnel reshuffle than other comparable companies.
