Fermented materials with enterobacteria isolated from fusiform fish, have strong anti-angiogenesis effect and anti-cell adhesion effect. PLM-f74 got from 74th fraction of size exclusion chromatography from fermented material, showed strong anti-cell adhesion effect between HUVECs and U937 monocytic cell. Adhesion of U937 cell to HUVEC stimulated with IL-1b was clearly inhibited by PLM-f74 in a dose-dependent manner by 12.1, 21.2, 50.9, and 78.2%, when U937 cells treated with each of the PLM-f74 and stimulated with PMA (100 mg/L) was added onto untreated and unstimulated HUVECs, adhesion was observed by 15.8, 31.9, 70.8, and 102%, when both cell types were pretreated with PLM-f74, the adhesion was prominently decreased by 83.7, 99.2, 110, and 120.8%, with 0.74, 3.7, 7.4, and 18.5ug/mL of PLM-f74, respectively. PLM-f74, also, reduced IL-1-stimulated HUVEC expression of adhesion molecules, VCAM-1, ICAM-1, and E-selectin dose-dependently by ELISA method.

EuroNet ist eine multilinguale Datenbasis mit WordNets $f\"{u}r\;einige\;europ\"{a}ische$ Sprachen ($holl\"{a}ndisch$, italienisch, spanisch, deutsch, $franz\"{o}sisch$, tschechisch und estnisch). Die WordNets werden genauso wie das amerikanische WordNet $f\"{u}r$ Englisch (Princeton WordNet, Miller et al. 1990) in Synsets (Zusammensetzen der synonymen $W\"{o}rter$) mit grundlegenden lexikalisch-semantischen Relationen zwischen ihnen $ausgedr\"{u}ckt$ strukturiert. Jedes WordNet stellt also ein einzigartiges innersprachliches System $f\"{u}r$ die lexikalischen und konzeptuellen Relationen dar. $Zus\"{a}tzlich$ werden diese auf dem Princeton WordNet basierten WordNets (z.B. GermaNet) mit einem Inter-Linguale-Index (kurz, ILI) verbunden. $\"{U}ber$ diesem Index werden die Sprachen zusammengeschaltet, damit zu gehen ist $m\"{o}glich$, von den $W\"{o}rtern$ in einer Sprache zu den $\"{a}hnlichen\;W\"{o}rtern$ in jeder $m\"{o}glicher$ anderen Sprache. Der Index gibt auch Zugang zu einer geteilten Top-Ontologie von 63 semantischen Unterscheidungen. Diese Top-Ontologie stellt einen allgemeinen semantischen Rahmen $f\"{u}r$ aile Sprachen zur $Verf\"{u}gung,\;w\"{a}hrend$ sprachspezifische Eigenschaften in den einzelnen WordNets beibehalten werden. Die Datenbasis kann, unter anderen, $f\"{u}r$ einsprachige und multilinguale Informationsretrieval benutzt werden. In der vorliegenden Arbeit handelt sich also um eine methodologische Untersuchung der koreanisch-deutschen ILI-Verbindung zur Anwendung der auf dem EuroNet basierten lexikalischen, semantischen Datenbasis. Dabei werden einzelnen Lexeme in koreanischen, deutschen WordNets $zun\"{a}chst$ mit Hilfe der Sense-Analyse semantisch differenziert, und dann durch lexikalische und konzeptuelle Relationen(ILI) miteinander verbunden. Die Equivalezverbindungen dienen, sprachspezifische Konzepte zum ILI abzubilden. Sie werden von einem anderen Synset der moglichen Relationen aus der Euronet-Spezifikation genommen. Wenn es keinen ILI-Rekord gibt, der ein direktes Equivalenz zu einem gegebenen Konzept darstellt, kann das Konzept in der Frage $\"{u}ber$ EQ-Near-Synonymie, EQ-Hyperonymie oder EQ-Hyponymie Relationen verbunden werden.

국내법과는 상호 독립적이며, 국제거래를 통해 발생하는 모든 회원국에서 유효하게 적용되는 경제적으로 고가의 개별적 장비들에 대한 국제담보권, 이는 또한 당사자 사이에서는 등기부등록이 없더라도 유효한 효력발생, (1) 채무자(담보제공자)의 채무불이행의 경우 국제적 담보권자에 대한 효율적이고 신속한 조치를 통한 권리의 보장, (3) 3자효(우선적 효력 내지 대외적 효력), 국제적 전자장비에 의해 특수한 장비에 대한 등록부에 등기함으로서 채무자 파산의 경우 국제적 담보권자가 갖는 대내적, 대외적 효력, (4) 국내법적 담보권을 국제적 등록부에의 등록가능성을 개방, (5) 각 장비의 특수성을 고려한 의정서를 통하여 특수한 장비의 영역별 필요성에의 충족을 고려, (6) 기존에 존재하는 국내법적 담보권 이외의 일반적 통일적 물권법의 제정, 그러나 회원국에 의한 동 협약의 국내거래에서의 부적용 선언을 인정하고 그 적용범위를 국제적 거래로 제한하는 것이 그것이다. 협약의 형식과 개별장비의 특수성을 고려한 의정서의 조합이라는 새로운 구조의 규정시도는 국제적 통일사법의 제정에서 국제적 기구 사이의 협력의 필요성에 대한 새로운 구조적 동인을 제공하였다. 따라서 두 개의 국제기구(UNIDROIT, ICAO)는 다자간 협정에 대한 공동의 책임을 수행해야 한다. 즉 먼저 국제기구로서 UNIDROIT는 일반적으로 사법의 통일화에 대하여 일정한 책임과 권한을 가져야 하며, 다른 측면으로 ICAO 또한 국제기구로서 민간항공운송분야에 책임있는 국제기구이기 때문이다. 통일된 규정의 제정을 위해 양대 국제기구가 협동체로 참여한 이러한 새롭고 항공장비에 특화되어 조직된 입법모델(UNIDROIT를 통한 일반규정과 Protocol을 통한 특수한 개별장비에 맞는 담보권 설정)은 이미 철도장비 및 우주장비분야에도 커다란 영향력을 미치고 있다. 결의안 제3조는 외교적 협의를 통하여 이에 상응하는 사전작업을 지속적으로 촉진하도록 하고, 가능한 조속한 시일 내에 부합된 의정서의 수용을 위한 외교적 협의를 소집하도록 하였다. 케이프타운에서 체결된 국제계약법적 작업성과는 처음으로 전세계적으로 적용될 수 있는 통일법적 담보권을 달성한 것으로 그 의미를 갖는다. 이는 1980년의 UN통일 매매법에서와 같은 물권법의 통합에서도 유사한 방법론으로 기능할 수 있음을 의미한다. 이에 대한 전제조건은 무엇보다 법관의 뛰어난 자질과 규정의 실무적 적절성, 특히 등록제도의 기능적 측면이 고려될 수 있다. 마지막으로 동 협약의 성공여부에 대해 중요한 의미를 갖는 것은, 과연 동 협약이 국제적으로 거래되는 고가의 운송장비에 대한 담보적 기능을 법적안정성이라는 측면에서 얼마만큼 담보할 수 있느냐의 여부에 달려있다고 해도 과언이 아니다.

동일한 양식장에서 생육된 두 미역 품종간의 생장 및 형태적 특성과 이에 따른 양식 생산의 효율성을 1990년 11월부터 1991년 4월까지 매월 2회씩 채집된 자료를 분석하였다. 두 품종의 미역은 완도 지방에서 널리 양식되고 있는 Undaria pinnatifida Sur. f. distans Miyabe and Okamura(북방형)와 일본 산리꾸 지방에서 이식된 U. pinnatifida Sur. f. typica Yendo(남방형) 이었으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 수확기의 평균 체장 및 체중은 북방형의 완도 산은 각각 161.1cm, 1,003.4g이었고, 남방형의 산리꾸 산은 각각 183.5cm, 1,314.6g이었다. 최대 성장 시기는 두 품종 모두 4월 초순으로 그 이후는 생장이 감소되는 경향을 보였으나, 두 품종간의 생장 차는 이 시기에 비교적 컸다. 간미역 가공시 사용되는 가용 부분의 평균 무게는 완도 산이 734.8g, 산리꾸 산이 968.5g이었다. 그리고 체장에 대한 가용부의 길이 비율은 완도 산, 산리꾸 산이 각각$76\%,\;83\%$이었고, 체장에 대한 가용부의 무게 비율은 각각 $43.8\%,\;52.7\%$이었다. 따라서 남방형인 산리꾸 산의 형질이 가용 비율 및 가공 효율 면에서 북방형의 완도 산보다 우수하고, 수익성이 높은 것으로 평가되었다.

Formant frequencies depend on the position of tongue, the shape of lips, and larynx. In the auditory system, the external ear canal is an open-end resonator, which can modify the voice characteristics. This study investigates the effect of the real ear on formant frequencies. Fifteen subjects ranging from 22 to 30 years of age participated in the study. This study employed three corner vowels: the low central vowel /a/, the high front vowel /i/, and the high back vowel /u/. For this study, the voice of a well-educated undergraduate who majored in speech-language pathology, was recorded with a high performance condenser microphone placed in the upper pinna and in the ear canal. Paired t-test showed that there were significant difference in the formant frequencies of F1, F2, F3, and F4 between the free field and the real ear. For /a/, all formant frequencies decreased significantly in the real ear. For /i/, F2 increased and F3 and F4 decreased. For /u/, F1 and F2 increased, but F3 and F4 decreased. It seems that these voice modifications in the real ear contribute to interpreting voice quality and understanding speech, timbre, and individual characteristics, which are influenced by the shape of the outer ear and external ear canal in such a way that formant frequencies become centralized in the vowel space.

Mutations in spliceosome components have been implicated in carcinogenesis of various types of cancer. One of the most frequently found is U2AF1 S34F missense mutation. Functional analyses of this mutation have been largely limited to hematological malignancies although the mutation is also frequently seen in other cancer types including lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). We examined the impact of knockdown (KD) of wild type (wt) U2AF1 and ectopic expression of two splice variant S34F mutant proteins in terms of alternative splicing (AS) pattern and cell cycle progression in A549 lung cancer cells. We demonstrate that induction of distinct AS events and disruption of mitosis at distinct sub-stages result from KD and ectopic expression of the mutant proteins. Importantly, when compared with the splicing pattern seen in LUAD patients with U2AF1 S34F mutation, ectopic expression of S34F mutants but not KD was shown to result in common AS events in several genes involved in cell cycle progression. Our study thus points to an active role of U2AF1 S34F mutant protein in inducing cell cycle dysregulation and mitotic stress. In addition, alternatively spliced genes which we describe here may represent novel potential markers of lung cancer development.

In this paper, we consider the periodic boundary value problem with sign changing nonlinearity $$u^{{\prime}{\prime}{\prime}}+{\rho}^3u=f(t,u),\;t{\in}[0,2{\pi}]$$, subject to the boundary value conditions: $$u^{(i)}(0)=u^{(i)}(2{\pi}),\;i=0,1,2$$, where ${\rho}{\in}(o,{\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}})$ is a positive constant and f(t, u) is a continuous function. Using Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem, we provide sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions to the above boundary value problem. The interesting point is the nonlinear term f may change sign.

In this paper, we classify all solutions bounded from below to uniformly elliptic equations of second order in the form of Lu(x) = a_ij(x)D_iju(x) + b_i(x)D_iu(x) + c(x)u(x) = f(x) or Lu(x) = D_i(a_ij(x)D_ju(x)) + b_i(x)D_iu(x) + c(x)u(x) = f(x) in unbounded cylinders. After establishing that the Aleksandrov maximum principle and boundary Harnack inequality hold for bounded solutions, we show that all solutions bounded from below are linear comb_inations of solutions, which are sums of two special solutions that exponential growth at one end and exponential decay at the another end, and a bounded solution that corresponds to the inhomogeneous term f of the equation.

We have performed the density functional theory calculations of $UO_2$ using the spin-polarized generalized gradient approximation (SP-GGA) and the SP-GGA+U approach. The SP-GGA+U approach correctly predicts the insulating electronic structure with antiferromagnetic ordering, but the SP-GGA calculations predict metallic behavior. The cohesive properties obtained from the SP-GGA+U calculations are in good agreement with the available experimental results and previous calculations. The spin-polarized local density of states shows that the antiferromagnetic ordering of $UO_2$ is governed by 5f orbitals of uranium ion. Our calculations demonstrate that the strong correlation of U 5f electrons should be taken into account for a reliable description of $UO_2$ physics.
