T형 다조부품의 결함에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Defect of T type Forging Products)

  • This paper describes the method that can expand the forming limit of T type forging products used in aircraft and automotive forged products. The forming limitis determined by the ratio of web thickness to rib width in T type and the reduction in height of workpiece and especially depends on the ratio of web thickness to rib width. For this method, the geometric condition that consists of triangle type was introduced and FEM simulations and model exoeriments were carried out and compared with each other. The objective of this paper is to give the method not only that sink mark and folding phenomenon are eliminated but also that the forming limit and the structural strength of rib and web is increased.

PLD 법으로 제작한 PbSe 박막의 결정구조와 전기적 특성 (Crystalline structure and electrical properties of PbSe thin films prepared using PLD method)

  • PLD 법을 이용하여 PbSe 박막을 p-Si(100) 기판 위에 성장시켰다. 성장온도에 따른 박막의 결정구조를 조사하기 위하여 기판온도를 RT${\sim}400^{\circ}C$로 변화시키면서 박막을 제작하였다. 여러 기판온도에서 제작한 PbSe 박막의 XRD 패턴과 PbSe(200) rocking curve의 반치폭(FWHM)을 분석한 결과, 성장온도 $200^{\circ}C$에서 제작한 박막이 가장 양호한 결정성을 나타냈다. 또한 AFM으로 관찰한 PbSe 박막의 표면형태도 $200^{\circ}C$에서 성장시킨 박막의 표면입자들이 가장 규칙적인 배열을 보였다. Hall 측정결과, PbSe 박막은 n-type 반도체임을 알 수 있었고, 전류-전압 특성 곡선은 전형적인 p-n junction 현상을 나타냈다. 또한 n-type 반도체인 PbSe 박막의 전기전도도는 일반적인 반도체의 값보다 약간 큰 것으로 확인되었다.

  • This paper proposes a new 75 fuzzy model approximation method which reduces error in nonlinear fuzzy model approximation over the V-type decision rules. Employing rational Bezier curves used in computer graphics to represent curves or surfaces, the proposed method approximates the decision rule by constructing a tractable linear equation in the highly non-linear fuzzy rule interval. This algorithm is applied to the self-adjusting air cushion for spinal cord injury patients to automatically distribute the patient's weight evenly and balanced to prevent decubitus. The simulation results indicate that the performance of the proposed method is bettor than that of the conventional TS Fuzzy model in terms of error and stability.

레일용접부의 건전성평가를 위한 고정밀 초음파 거리진폭특성곡선의 구축 (Construction of High-Precision Ultrasonics Distance Amplitude Characteristics Curve for Integrity Evaluation of Rail Weld Zone)

  • This study proposes integrity evaluation method of weld zone in rails using high precision distance amplitude characteristics curve(DACC) and ultrasonic signals. For these purposes, the ultrasonic signals for defects(porosity and crack) of weld zone in rails are acquired in the type of time series data and echo strength. 6 lines in the DACC indicated damage evaluation standard of weld zone in rails. The aquired ultrasonic signals agree fairly well with the mesured results of reference block and sensitivity block(defect location, beam propagation distance, echo strength, etc). The proposed high precision DACC in this study can be used for integrity evaluation of weld zone in rails.

  • In this paper we outline an approach for the collision-free trajectory planning of two robot arms which are modeled as connected line segments. A new approach to determine the collision between two robot arms and the boundary of the collision region in the coordination space is proposed. The coordination curve may then be chosen to avoid the collision region. For minimum time trajectory, time is assigned to this curve by dynamic time scaling under constraints such as maximum torque or maximum angular velocity of each actuator. A comparison of the proposed method and the graphical method of determining the collision region is also included. Finally, as an example, some simulation results for two SCARA type robots are presented.

Numerical simulation of wedge splitting test method for evaluating fracture behaviour of self compacting concrete

  • Predicting fracture properties requires an understanding of structural failure behaviour in relation to specimen type, dimension, and notch length. Facture properties are evaluated using various testing methods, wedge splitting test being one of them. The wedge splitting test was numerically modelled three dimensionally using the finite element method on self compacting concrete specimens with varied specimen and notch depths in the current work. The load - Crack mouth opening displacement curves and the angle of rotation with respect to notch opening till failure are used to assess the fracture properties. Furthermore, based on the simulation results, failure curve was built to forecast the fracture behaviour of self-compacting concrete. The fracture failure curve revealed that the failure was quasi-brittle in character, conforming to non-linear elastic properties for all specimen depth and notch depth combinations.

  • W UMa 형 쌍성 TY UMa를 소백산천문대 61cm 반사망원경과 PM512 CCD 카메라를 이용하여 2001년 3월 19일부터 21일까지 3일간 측광관측하여 광도곡선을 완성하였다. 광도곡선의 형태는 제 2극심이 제 1극심보다 더 깊고, 식 바같부분의 max 1은 max II에 비하여 평균 $0.^m023$밝게 나타나는 비대칭이다. 비대칭 광도곡선을 분석하기 위하여 흑점 모델을 도입하고, Wilson & Devinney의 차등보정법을 이용하여 측광학적인 해를 구하였다.

임펠러 5-축 CNC 가공에 관한 연구 (A Study on The 5-Axis CNC Machining of Impeller)

  • The manufacture of an impeller typically requires the 5-axis CNC machining, since the impeller is usually under working conditions such as high speed, high temperature, and high pressure. Thus, this study contributes to development of an exclusive CAM system for effective 5-axis CNC machining of a ruled surface type impeller. In this study, the sampled impeller is made of blades and a body and the blade consists of ruled surfaces between hub curve and shroud curve. In the post processing for 5-axis NC part program, the cutter axis direction vector is the straighten vector on ruled surface. The position of ball center in ball end mill cutter is decided on the interference check between the cutter and body surface of impeller using with the modified z-map method that z-axis is the same of cutter axis direction vector. The exclusive CAM system for an impeller developed in this study was very effective for designs and 50-axis machining of a ruled surface type impeller.

  • There is a growing interest in hybrid electric vehicles due to environmental concerns. Recent efforts are directed toward developing an improved main component systems for the hybrid electric vehicle applications. Soon after the introduction of electric starter for internal combustion engine early this century, despite being energy efficient and nonpolluting, electric vehicle lost the battle completly to internal combustion engine due to its limited range and inferior performance. Hybrid Electric vehicles offer the most promising solutions to reduce the emission of vehicles. This paper describes a method for cost reduction estimation of parallel hybrid electric vehicle. We used a cost reduction structure that consisted of five major subsystems (three-type and two-type motor) for parallel hybrid electric vehicle. Especially, we estimated the potential for cost reductions in parallel hybrid electric vehicle as a function of time using the learning curve. Also, we estimated the potentials of cost by depreciation.
