나노 다공질 FTO 제작 및 광전변환특성 고찰 (Synthesis of Nanoporous F:SnO2 Materials and its Photovoltaic Characteristic)

  • 본 연구에서는 염료 태양전지(Dye-sensitized solar cells; DSCs)에 적용하기 위한 나노-다공질의 FTO(F:$SnO_2$) 재료를 Sol-gel 연소법을 이용하여 다양한 열처리 온도를 변수로 제작하였으며, 각각의 결과물들에 대한 물성적 특성을 고찰하였다. FTO nano-powder는 SnCl4-98.0[%]와 HF-$48{\sim}51$[%]가 교반된 것에 NH4OH를 Sol-gel법의 촉매로 사용하였고, 첨가재로써 Ketjen Black을 사용하였다. 얻어진 결과물에 대한 XRD 측정 결과, 열처리 온도가 상승함에 따라 $SnO_2$의 회절각인 25.6[$^{\circ}$]($2{\Theta}$) 부근에서 강한 peak값이 나타났다. XPS 측정 결과에 의하면, 각각의 F1s, Sn 3d, O 1s의 binding energy는 682, 484, 528[eV]에서 광전자 피크가 확인되었다. 열처리 온도가 증가함에 따라 표면적이 감소하며, pore size는 증가함을 BET측정 결과로 알 수 있었다. 본 실험을 통해 열처리 온도조절에 따른 나노-다공성 FTO powder의 특성제어가 용이함이 확인되었고, Sol-gel 연소법에 의한 간단하고 효과적인 방법으로 나노-다공성 소재의 제작이 가능하여, DSCs의 응용에도 유용할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 클라우드 컴퓨팅은 최근 IT 시장에서 가장 큰 성장을 보이고 있는 분야 중 하나로, 앞으로도 지속적으로 성장할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 특히, 최근에는 수많은 기업들이 비용 절감 및 효율 향상을 위해 사설 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스로 가상 데스크톱 환경을 도입하고 있다. 하지만 현재 이 분야에 대한 디지털 포렌식 조사 절차 및 방법은 학문적, 기술적으로 체계화되어 있지 않다. 이를 위해서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스 형태에 따라 법적 효력을 가질 수 있는 디지털 증거 수집 체계를 확립해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 사설 클라우드 서비스로 제공되는 가상 데스크톱 환경 및 전 세계적으로 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 데스크톱 가상화 솔루션(Citrix, VMware, Microsoft)에 대해 소개하고, 각 솔루션에 대한 디지털 포렌식 조사 절차 및 방법을 제안한다.

  • TFF(Thin Film Fille.) 방식의 2$\times$2 OADM을 이용하여 1510nm 파장과 1530nm 파장의 광원을 첨가하여 add/drop시킨 4 파장 광 모듈을 구성하였고 이 광모듈을 채택하여 PCS(personal communication system) 및 셀룰러 (cellular) 이동 통신뿐만 아니라 차세대 이동 통신 방식은 IMT-2000 서비스와 다중 링크 시켜 광선로를 재활용하는 방식의 4 파장 광 트랜시버를 구현하였다. OADM을 이용한 4파장 optical signal stream을 구성하여 1510 nm, 1530 nm, 1550 nm, 1570 nm 파장에서 각각 -1.6 dBm, -1.7 dBm, -5.6 dBm, -5.8dBm의 광출력을 얻었다. 제작된 광 트랜시버의 LD 모듈에 12 V의 바이어스 전압을 사용하여 약 1.5dBm의 광 출력 특성을 얻었으며, PD 모듈의 증폭단에는 two-stage 저 잡음 증폭기를 제작하여 1.66dB의 잡음지수와 25.7 dB의 이득을 얻었다. 또한 S$_{11}$과 S$_{22}$ 그리고 입ㆍ출력 정재파비는 각각 -5.47dB, -20 dB 그리고 3.27 : 1, 1.22 : 1의 결과 값을 얻었다.다.

SQUID 센서 기반의 극저자장 자기공명 장치를 위한 사전자화코일 전류구동장치 개발 (Development of Prepolarization Coil Current Driver in SQUID Sensor-based Ultra Low-field Magnetic Resonance Apparatuses)

  • SQUID sensor-based ultra low-field magnetic resonance apparatus with ${\mu}T$-level measurement field requires a strong prepolarization magnetic field ($B_p$) to magnetize its sample and obtain magnetic resonance signal with a high signal-to-noise ratio. This $B_p$ needs to be ramped down very quickly so that it does not interfere with signal acquisition which must take place before the sample magnetization relaxes off. A MOSFET switch-based $B_p$ coil driver has current ramp-down time ($t_{rd}$) that increases with $B_p$ current, which makes it unsuitable for driving high-field $B_p$ coil made of superconducting material. An energy cycling-type current driver has been developed for such a coil. This driver contains a storage capacitor inside a switch in IGBT-diode bridge configuration, which can manipulate how the capacitor is connected between the $B_p$ coil and its current source. The implemented circuit with 1.2 kV-tolerant devices was capable of driving 32 A current into a thick copper-wire solenoid $B_p$ coil with a 182 mm inner diameter, 0.23 H inductance, and 5.4 mT/A magnetic field-to-current ratio. The measured trd was 7.6 ms with a 160 ${\mu}F$ storage capacitor. trd was dependent only on the inductance of the coil and the capacitance of the driver capacitor. This driver is scalable to significantly higher current of superconducting $B_p$ coils without the $t_{rd}$ becoming unacceptably long with higher $B_p$ current.

태양전지 모듈의 구성 요소가 PID 발생에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of PID Generation by Components of the PV Module)

  • PID (potential induced degradation) of PV module is the degradation of module due to the high potential difference between the front surface of solar cells and ground when PV modules operate under high humidity and temperature conditions. PID is generally derived from the positive sodium ions in front glass that are accumulated on P-type solar cells. Therefore, some papers for the electrical characteristic of only front components as glass, EVA sheet, solar cell under PID generation condition were revealed. In this paper, we analyzed the different outputs of module with PID by considering the all parts of module including the back side elements such as glass, back sheet. Mini modules with one solar cell were fabricated with the various parts on front and back sided of module. To generate PID of module in a short time, the all modules were applied.1,000 V in $85^{\circ}C$, 85% RH. The outputs, dark IV curves and EL images of all modules before and after experiments were also measured to confirm the main components of module for PID generation. From the measured results, the outputs of all modules with front glass were remarkably reduced and the performances of modules with back and front glass were greatly deteriorated. We suggest that the obtained data could be used to reduce the PID phenomenon of diverse modules such as conventional module and BIPV (building integrated photovoltaic) module.

함정용 LED 투광등 설계 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of a LED Floodlight for Naval Vessels)

  • This paper dealt with the development of a LED floodlight for naval vessels to replace the conventional floodlight using an incandescent and a halogen lamp. We found a technical solution for current problems of conventional lights and also improved optical characteristics by developing a LED floodlight which has a typical long-lived light source with high efficiency. To satisfy the requirements specified in Korea Standard Vessels (KS V), the optical structure was designed with selected LED package and lens. A LED module was composed of 10 LEDs in series for stable luminous output, and an aluminium heat sink was adopted for effective heat-radiation design. The LED floodlight was fabricated as a module type so that it can easily replace the conventional light source. The power consumption of the prototype floodlight was only a tenth of a conventional one with the same optical performance. Also, a test showed the floodlight satisfied the electrical, optical and environmental requirements of the standards.

  • Superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) is an power device of a novel concept. While SFCLs generate no ohmic loss during the operation carrying normal currents, they can limit fault currents very fast making large impedance by their quench characteristics. In 2006, KEPCO has developed a distribution class hybrid type SFCL by a collaborative research project with LS industrial systems. The SFCL has merits in practical and economical points of view. In the SFCL, the superconductor just plays a role of a fault detector and the current limiting is completed by the other current limiting element made of normal metals throu호 the line commutation. As a result, the required amounts of superconductors can be reduced considerably. Consequently, the hybrid SFCL can be fabricated with small size and cost, maintaining perfect current limiting performance. Currently, KEPCO is carrying out a research project at Gochang power test center for the purpose of the verification test of the 22.9 kV/ 630 A class SFCL for the practical application in real grid. Through the project, a long term operational test and fault current test will be done. In this paper, the back ground of development and installation of the SFCL will be explained and the operation plan of the SFCL for the verification test is also introduced.

Selonsertib Inhibits Liver Fibrosis via Downregulation of ASK1/MAPK Pathway of Hepatic Stellate Cells

  • Liver fibrosis constitutes a significant health problem worldwide due to its rapidly increasing prevalence and the absence of specific and effective treatments. Growing evidence suggests that apoptosis-signal regulating kinase 1 (ASK1) is activated in oxidative stress, which causes hepatic inflammation and apoptosis, leading to liver fibrogenesis through a mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) downstream signals. In this study, we investigated whether selonsertib, a selective inhibitor of ASK1, shows therapeutic efficacy for liver fibrosis, and elucidated its mechanism of action in vivo and in vitro. As a result, selonsertib strongly suppressed the growth and proliferation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) and induced apoptosis by increasing Annexin V and TUNEL-positive cells. We also observed that selonsertib inhibited the ASK1/MAPK pathway, including p38 and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) in HSCs. Interestingly, dimethylnitrosamine (DMN)-induced liver fibrosis was significantly alleviated by selonsertib treatment in rats. Furthermore, selonsertib reduced collagen deposition and the expression of extracellular components such as α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), fibronectin, and collagen type I in vitro and in vivo. Taken together, selonsertib suppressed fibrotic response such as HSC proliferation and extracellular matrix components by blocking the ASK1/MAPK pathway. Therefore, we suggest that selonsertib may be an effective therapeutic drug for ameliorating liver fibrosis.

표면 텍스쳐링 크기와 밀도가 후면 전극 실리콘 태양전지에 미치는 영향 (A effect of the back contact silicon solar cell with surface texturing size and density)

  • The back contact solar cell (BCSC) has several advantages compared to the conventional solar cell since it can reduce grid shadowing loss and contact resistance between the electrode and the silicon substrate. This paper presents the effect of the surface texturing of the silicon BCSC by varying the texturing depth or the texturing gap in the commercially available simulation software, ATHENA and ATLAS of the company SILVACO. The texturing depth was varied from $5{\mu}m$ to $150{\mu}m$ and the texturing gap was varied from $1{\mu}m$ to $100{\mu}m$ in the simulation. The resulting efficiency of the silicon BCSC was evaluated depending on the texturing condition. The quantum efficiency and the I-V curve of the designed silicon BCSC was also obtained for the analysis since they are closely related with the solar cell efficiency. Other parameters of the simulated silicon BCSC are as follows. The substrate was an n-type silicon, which was doped with phosphorous at $6{\times}10^{15}cm^{-3}$, and its thickness was $180{\mu}m$, a typical thickness of commercial solar cell substrate thickness. The back surface field (BSF) was $1{\times}10^{20}\;cm^{-3}$ and the doping concentration of a boron doped emitter was $8.5{\times}10^{19}\;cm^{-3}$. The pitch of the silicon BCSC was $1250{\mu}m$ and the anti-reflection coating (ARC) SiN thickness was $0.079{\mu}m$. It was assumed that the texturing was anisotropic etching of crystalline silicon, resulting in texturing angle of 54.7 degrees. The best efficiency was 25.6264% when texturing depth was $50{\mu}m$ with zero texturing gap in case of low texturing depth (< $100{\mu}m$).

Measuring and Modeling the Spectral Attenuation of Light in the Yellow Sea

  • Spectral attenuation of light and upwelling radiance were measured in the western coast of Korea on board the R/V Inchon 888 of the Korean National Fisheries Research and Development Institute(NFRDI) during four seasons. The goal of these efforts was to determine the spatial and temporal distribution of the inherent and apparent optical properties of the water, and the factors that control their distribution. Our data indicate that while stratification of the water column, phytoplankton, and wind stress determined the vertical distribution of the optical parameters offshore, it was the tidal current and sediment type that controlled both the vertical and horizontal distribution in the coastal areas. These findings led to the development of a model that estimates the spectral attenuation of light with respect to depth and time for the Yellow Sea. The model integrates water leaving radiance from satellites, sediment types, current vectors, sigma-t, bathymetry, and in situ optical measurements in a learning algorithm capable of extracting optical properties with only knowledge of the environmental conditions of the Yellow Sea. The performance of the model decreases with increase in depth. The mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the model is 2% for the upper five meters, 8-10% between 6 and 50 meters, and 15% below 51 meters.
