대학생의 진로유형별 진로스트레스 대처방식 및 진로결정몰입의 차이 (Differences of Career Stress Coping Strategy and Commitment to Career Choice among the Career Types for College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze group differences of Commitment to career choice and Career stress coping strategy by the Career decision and Career preparation behavior for College Students. Through the results of this study we wanted to look for discriminatory implications for the counseling intervention. The data of 720 college students were collected for the study. The distinction of four types was revealed by the results from Crosstabs and One-way ANOVA. The frequency of upper grades indicated ideal type. But the immature type was fourth grade. There were significant differences in accordance with the two-dimensional typology of Commitment to career choice and Career stress coping strategy by One-way ANOVA. Discussion focused on effective intervention strategies in career counseling based on group differences by the Career decision and Career Preparation Behavior.

사회적 게임에서의 영아-어머니 상호작용 (Mother-Infant Interactions in Social Games)

  • This study investigated the development of infant behaviors and maternal scaffolding in mother-infant games. Subjects were 60 mothers and their 9-, 12-, 15- and 18-month infants, 15 dyads in each age group. Mother-infant interaction was videotaped in the laboratory as they played peek-a-boo and a ball game in 2 sessions. Infant game behaviors were classified by the Rome-Flanders, Cossette, Ricard and $D{\acute{e}}carie$(1995) list, and maternal game behaviors were classified by the Hodapp, Goldfield & Boyatzis(1984) list. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA with repeated measures, sequential analysis and Z test as well as qualitative analysis. Results showed that infants played an increasingly active role with age. Infants mastered the ball game at earlier age than peek-a-boo. Mothers scaffolded infant behaviors in various ways. The amount of maternal game behavior varied by type of game.

구조적, 기증적 측면에서 본 아동기의 사회적지지 -Social Convoy Model을 토대로- (Convoys of Social Support in Childhood and Early Sdolescence: Structure and Function)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore social support in childhood and early adolescence. The research was based on the social convoy model(Kahn and Antonucci, 1980). The data were collected from questionnaires completed by 656 elementary school children(2nd and 5th grade) and the middle school children(2nd grade) in rural and urban area. The statistical methods adopted for data analyses were frequencies, mean, standard deviation, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Two-way ANOVA, and correlation coefficient. Children received more support from parents and friends in convoy function of social support. Convoy size of social support increased with age. Rural children had larger convoy size in the inner circle, and smaller convoy size in the middle circle than urban children did.

Unbalanced ANOVA for Testing Shape Variability in Statistical Shape Analysis

  • Measures are very useful tools for comparing the shape variability in statistical shape analysis. For examples, the Procrustes statistic(PS) is isolated measure, and the mean Procrustes statistic(MPS) and the root mean square measure(RMS) are overall measures. But these measures are very subjective, complicated and moreover these measures are not statistical for comparing the shape variability. Therefore we need to study some tests. It is well known that the Hotelling's $T^2$ test is used for testing shape variability of two independent samples. And for testing shape variabilities of several independent samples, instead of the Hotelling's $T^2$ test, one way analysis of variance(ANOVA) can be applied. In fact, this one way ANOVA is based on the balanced samples of equal size which is called as BANOVA. However, If we have unbalanced samples with unequal size, we can not use BANOVA. Therefore we propose the unbalanced analysis of variance(UNBANOVA) for testing shape variabilities of several independent samples of unequal size.

정보행태에 있어 국민성의 의미 - 한국과 일본의 대학생에 대한 비교 분석 - (Nationality and Information Behavior: Comparing Korean and Japanese Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 정보행태에 있어 국민성이 갖는 의미에 주목하면서, 정보행태에 대한 집단적 요인과 개인적 요인의 비중을 상대적으로 가늠해 보는데 있다. 이를 위해, 국민성을 대변하는 요소로 국적과 성격(의존성)을 선정하였으며, 정보행태를 대변하는 10개의 지표를 개발하였다. 논의에 필요한 데이터는 설문조사를 통해 수집하였는데, 158명의 한국인 대학생과 183명의 일본인 대학생이 설문에 참여하였다. 수집한 데이터에 근거하여 변인들 사이의 관계를 검증하기 위한 빈도분석과 교차분석을 실시하였으며, 국적과 의존성의 상대적 비중을 가늠하기 위한 ANOVA 검증을 실시하였다. 통계적 분석의 결과, 상대적 비중에 있어 국적의 영향력이 의존성의 영향력보다 크며, 집단적 요인의 비중이 개인적 요인의 비중보다 큰 것으로 나타났다.

원산지일치도와 가격수준에 따른 의류 제품평가 - 소비자 성별의 조절효과를 중심으로 - (Effects of Country-of-Origin Coincidence and Price Level on Fashion Products Evaluations - Moderating Effect of Gender -)

  • Evaluations of fashion products are often influenced by consumers' knowledge of the country where the products were made in. As globalization progresses, country-of-origin information is widely regarded as a powerful cue on consumers' shopping behavior. The purpose of study was to examine the consumer evaluation of apparel products with uni-national or bi-national country of origin. The effect of price level and gender were also investigated. The empirical research design took 2${\times}$2 factorial design with the country-of-origin coincidence (uni-national vs. bi-national) and price (high vs. low) of gender (male vs. female). Consumers' ethnocentrism and country-of-origin interest were taken into account as covariates in the factorial design. The consumers' evaluation of fashion products was measured in terms of brand attitudes and product attitudes. Data from 514 respondents were analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, and ANCOVA. Results of this study affirmed the importance of price information rather than country-of-origin coincidence in brand attitudes and product attitudes. Only for male consumers, interaction effects of price and country-of-origin coincidence had significant eflects on utilitarian attitude. Effects of two covariate variables included in the study were significant for female respondents but not for male respondents.

과제의 친숙성 및 정답제시가 유아의 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Children's Familiarity with a Task and Teachers' Feedback on their Problem Solving Performances)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the influence of children's familiarity with a task and teachers' feedback on their problem solving performances. It was assumed that children's' problem solving performance would be different depending on the children's familiarity with a task and the feedback from teachers. The study also examined whether children's' problem solving competence would be different depending on their gender and age. The experiment was conducted with two experimental tools. The subjects were 58 children who were 5 to 6-year-old, enrolled in kindergartens in Koyang city in Kyunggi province. The collected data were processed with SPSS 11.0 program to get the average and the standard deviations, and with one-way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA with repeated measures. The results of the experiment are as follows; First, children's' problem solving competence was different depending on their age. Older children showed higher performance than younger children, while there's no difference in children's performance depending on their gender. Second, the teachers' feedback didn't influence children's problem solving performance. Third, children showed higher performance when familiar tasks were provided, compared to when typical tasks were provided. Finally, this study found that children's task familiarity has an influence on their problem solving performance.

청소년이 지각한 부모의 물질주의 성향과 그에 따른 유형 분류 및 재정적 특성 분석 (Classification of Parents' Materialism Inclination Recognized by the Adolescents and Analysis of Their Financial Characteristics)

  • This paper investigated materialism inclination of the parents recognized by the adolescents and analysed the relationships between 5 categorized types about parents' materialism inclination and financial characteristics of the adolescents. Statistical analysis was achieved by using Cronbach'$\alpha$, paired t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, chi-square analysis, and Ward' hierarchical cluster analysis with a total of 801 questionnaires. The results are summarized as follows: First, the adolescents felt that calculated points of father and mother's materialism inclination were lower than median points and mother's inclination for materialism was higher than that of father. Second, five categories were classified according to materialism inclination of parents. First classified category was the type which showed both parents had little interest in materials and the second category was the type which father had strong interest in materials. The third one was the type which mother had strong interest in materials. The last two categories were the ones which both parents had much interest in materials. Final result of this study revealed that attitudes of the adolescents for materialism and money were higher for those whose parents had strong interest in materialism than those whose parents had little materialism interest. They showed not only the behaviors of impulsive and overspending consumption but also low financial satisfaction and high financial stress.

양성적 부모의 양육행동과 아동의 자기역량감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Androgynous Parent's Child-rearing Practices and Children's Self-Perceived Competence)

  • This study investigated the relation of androgynous parent's child-rearing practices to children's self-perceived competence by comparison of the effectiveness of androgynous people as parents compared with parents who are other-typed in their sex-role identity. The subjects were 362 third and sixth grade children and their parents selected from two elementary schools in Seoul. The instruments were a children's self-perceived competence scale, a perception of maternal warmth and control scale, a perception of paternal warmth and control scale, parent's self-esteem scale, and parent's sex-role identity scale. Frequencies, percentiles, mean, ${\chi}^2$ test, two way-ANOVA, one way-ANOVA, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ and $Scheff{\acute{e}}$-test were used for data-analysis. The major findings showed that (1) Androgynous and masculine fathers had higher self-esteem than feminine or undifferentiated fathers. Androgynous, masculine, and feminine mothers had higher self-esteem than undifferentiated mothers. (2) There was no difference in children's perception of parental warmth and control as related to parent's sex-role identity. Androgynyous parents were not more likely to be authoritative parents. (3) Sons of androgynous parents had higher self-perceived competence than those of sex-typed parents, while daughters of sex-typed parents had higher self-perceived competence than those of androgynous parents.

Finding Significant Factors to Affect Cost Contingency on Construction Projects Using ANOVA Statistical Method -Focused on Transportation Construction Projects in the US-

  • Risks, uncertainties, and associated cost overruns are critical problems for construction projects. Cost contingency is an important funding source for these unforeseen events and is included in the base estimate to help perform financially successful projects. In order to predict more accurate contingency, many empirical models using regression analysis and artificial neural network method have been proposed and showed its viability to minimize prediction errors. However, categorical factors on contingency cannot have been treated and thus considered in these empirical models since those models are able to treat only numerical factors. This paper identified potential factors on contingency in transportation construction projects and evaluated categorical factors using the one-way ANOVA statistical method. Among factors including project work type, delivery method type, contract agreement type, bid award type, letting type, and geographical location, two factors of project work type and contract agreement type were found to be statistically important on allocating cost contingency.
