정밀 연삭가공을 위한 제어시스템 설계 (Control System Design for Precision Grinding)

  • Design of an in-process feedback control system has been studied for precision grinding. A grinding system consists of a grinding tool, a turn table and a disk-shaped workpiece on the table is taken as an object. A grinding process model has been deduced which gives some reasoning about the process errors. In the control system the tool position is actively controlled by an electro-magnetic actuator in-process. The ground error is feedback to compose a closed-loop control system and an optimal PID controller is applied. Some control performances such as transient response and disturbance such as transient response and disturbance attenuation have been examined, which convinces the effectiveness of the control. Some methods for implementation of the control. Some methods for implementation of the control have been suggested from a standpoint of practical application.

장갑 착용이 악력과 안전에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Effects of Wearing Gloves on Grip Strength and Safety)

  • Grip strength provides a quick and objective index of the functional integrity of the upper extremities. It is widely used as an assessment measure in physical and rehabilitation medicine. In this study, maximum voluntary grip strength of 20 college students wearing 5 different gloves were measured using Jamar hand dynamometer. The results show that maximum voluntary grip strength was generally reduced when wearing gloves as compared to bare-handed. More specifically, the grip strength was highest when wearing PVC coated glove or bare-handed and getting lowered as wrist band, rubber, leather, and cotton glove in these order. Depending on the measuring posture of grip strength, shoulder height with arm extended forward was higher than the elbow was flexed 90 degree. Moreover, subjects' demographic factors and hand dimensions were not closely related to the grip strength. It is thus recommended that the proper glove should be provided to reduce the negative consequences including dropping a tool, poorer control of a tool. lower quality work, and increased muscle fatigue and in turn to increase the user safety and satisfaction.

  • For domestic aircraft industry, not mass production of components is limited, small production scale of the order is made by part because many kinds of hundreds of thousands of kinds of small quantity batch production system are taking. But the high reliability and stability are required during the processing because they require high precision parts are required. It is found that when C-axis rotation speed was increased, the diameter of the cutting tool decreased with increasing surface roughness, while the turn-mail feed rate was increased with increasing the surface roughness.

  • Flight control design for the autonomous waypoint navigation of aircraft is presented in this study. The waypoints are defined in terms of desired longitude and latitude. The control design is conducted in longitudinal and lateral directions, respectively. The lateral control is based upon coordinated turn strategy for which no sideslip is allowed under the turning maneuver. The longitudinal control is mainly focused on altitude hold during navigation. Neural network control approach is applied to the altitude-hold mode control. Simulation of the proposed control strategy has been performed under various conditions. A graphical simulation tool was developed to visually demonstrate the control technique developed in this study. A method to simulate the gas turbine transient behavior is developed. VIMAP: AN INTERACTIVE PROGRAM PROVIDING RADIO SPECTRAL INDEX MAPS OF ACTIVE GALACTIC NUCLEI

  • We present a GUI-based interactive Python program, VIMAP, which generates radio spectral index maps of active galactic nuclei (AGN) from Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) maps obtained at different frequencies. VIMAP is a handy tool for the spectral analysis of synchrotron emission from AGN jets, specifically of spectral index distributions, turn-over frequencies, and core-shifts. In general, the required accurate image alignment is difficult to achieve because of a loss of absolute spatial coordinate information during VLBI data reduction (self-calibration) and/or intrinsic variations of source structure as function of frequency. These issues are overcome by VIMAP which in turn is based on the two-dimensional cross-correlation algorithm of Croke & Gabuzda (2008). In this paper, we briefly review the problem of aligning VLBI AGN maps, describe the workflow of VIMAP, and present an analysis of archival VLBI maps of the active nucleus 3C 120.

양방향 좌회전차로(TWLTLs) 적용효과 분석 및 설치준거 연구 (A Study on Effectiveness and Warrant Analysis for Two-Way Left-Turn Lanes)

  • 양방향 좌회전차로(TWLTLs : Two-Way Left-Turn Lanes)는 도로중앙에 양방향의 좌회전 차량이 이용할 수 있는 연속진행형 좌회전 차로가 설치된 불균등차로 시스템의 한 형태로써, 접속밀도가 높고 좌회전 교통수요가 각 회전지 점별로 넓게 분산되어 있을 때 큰 운영 개선효과를 나타낼 수 있는 접근관리기법으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 양방향 좌회전차로의 국내 도입 가능성을 검토하기 위한 초기단계로써, 미시적 교통류 분석 시뮬레이션 모형인 VISSIM을 활용, 가상 네트워크와 실 네트워크에 대한 TWLTL 설치 전 후 모의실험을 수행하여 운영효율 및 안전성을 평가하였으며, 이를 기초로 설치준거를 제시하였다. VISSIM 모의실험 결과, 주도로의 직진 및 좌회전 이동류에 대한 상당수준의 지체감소를 확인하였으며, 교통 안전적으로도 큰 개선효과가 있었던 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 국내에서 최초로 시뮬레이션 분석모형을 활용하여 양방향 좌회전차로의 운영효과 및 안전성 개선효과를 평가하고, 교통량 지체 안전도를 고려한 TWLTL의 설치준거를 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

  • Value at Risk(VaR) has been proven useful in finance literature as a tool of risk management(cf. Jorion(2001)). This article is concerned with introducing VaR to various Korean financial time series. Five daily data sets with sample period ranging from 2000 and 2004 such as KOSPI, KOSPI 200, KOSDAQ, KOSDAQ 50 and won-dollar exchange rate are analyzed using GARCH modeling and in turn VaR is obtained for each data.

Development and Evaluation of PDF Report Annotation Tool GABA Facilitating Comment Reuse

  • Comparing online and paper-based environment for report submission and correction, the former supersedes to the latter, since (1) the turn-around time becomes shorter, (2) teaching opportunity increases, and (3) as a consequence, the student's achievement level becomes higher in the online environment. In this paper, we propose an annotation tool GABA for PDF document in order to reduce correction time by the teachers and to facilitate instruction to students. In a usual class, the same or similar assignments are given to the students. Then it is often the case that many students make similar mistakes. A teacher can register and classify common correction comments to GABA. Report correction time becomes significantly shorter by reusing the registered comments. GABA also provides various support functions in order to assist efficient checking of numerous report files such as (1) sorting of frequently-used comments, (2) similarity-based file sorting, and (3) cross tabulation of comments using category and weight.

  • In the automated production environment in the present days, the minimization of manual operation becomes a very important factor in increasing the efficiency of the production system. The exit burr produced through the milling operation on the edge of workpiece usually requires manual deburring process to enhance the level of precision of the resulting product. So far, researchers have developed various methods to understand the formation of exit burr in cutting process. One method to analytically identify the formation of exit burr was to use the geometrical information of CAD and CAM data used in automated machining. This method, in turn, generated the information resulting from the analysis such as burr type, cutting region, and exit angle. Up to now, the geometrical data were restricted to the single feature and single path. In this paper, a method to deal with the complicated geometric features such as line segment, arc, hole, and spline will be presented and validated using the field data. This method also deals with the complex workpiece shape which is a combination of multiple features. As for the cutting path, multiple tool path is analyzed in order to simulate the real cutting process. All this analysis is combined into a Windows based software and real data are used to validate the program in the conclusion.

  • 집적 쇼트키 논리 게이트에서 전압 스윙을 크게 하기 위해서 백금 실리사이드 쇼트키 접합의 전기직 특성을 분석하였고, 이 접합에서 프로그램으로 특성을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 분석특성 특성을 위한 시뮬레이션 프로그램은 제조 공정용 SUPREM V와 모델링용 Matlab, 소자 구조용의 Medichi 툴이다. 시뮬레이션 특성을 위한 입력 파라미터는 소자 제작 공정의 공정 단계와 동일한 조건으로 하였다. 분석적인 전기적인 특성들은 순방향 바이어스에서 턴-온 전압, 포화 전류, 이상인자이고, 역방향 바이어스에서 항복 전압을 실제 특성과 시뮬레이션 특성 사이의 결과를 보였다. 결과로써 순방향 턴-온 전압, 역방향 항복전압, 장벽 높이는 기판의 증가된 농도의 변화에 따라 감소되었지만, 포화전류와 이상인자는 증가되었다.
