농후 연소 가스발생기의 비평형 연소 화학반응 모델링 (Modeling of Non-Equilibrium Kinetics of Fuel Rich Combustion in Gas Generator)

  • 액체 로켓의 가스발생기의 연소 온도는 터빈 깃의 열 손상을 방지하기 위하여 1,000K 이하로 유지되며 이를 위하여 농후 연소 또는 산화제 과다 연소를 유지한다. 이러한 이유로 연소는 비평형 화학반응이 주로 발생하며 연소반응을 예측하기가 매우 어렵다. 한편 케로신은 여러 가지 탄화수소 연료로 이루어진 혼합연료로 화학반응 메커니즘에 대한 모델이 매우 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 Dagaut가 개발한 207 화학종, 1592 화학반응 단계를 이용하였으며 완전혼합반응기 연소모델을 적용하여 계산하였다. 계산결과와 실험결과를 비교하여 보면 사용된 화학반응 기구가 검댕 예측을 하지 않고 있음에도 불구하고 계산 결과는 연소가스 온도 뿐 아니라 가스 물성치 등을 매우 잘 예측하고 있음을 확인하였다.

APS법으로 제조된 열장벽 피막과 PAS법으로 제조된 열장벽 성형체의 고온 물성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the high Temperature Properties of the Graded Thermal Barrier Coatings by APS and PAS)

  • Thermal Barrier Coating with Functional Gradient Materials (FGM-TBC) can play an important role to protect the parts from harmful environments in high temperatures such as oxidation, corrosion, and wear and to improve the efficiency of aircraft engine by lowering the surface temperature on turbine blade. FGM-TBC can increase the life spans of product and improve the operating properties. Therfore, in this study the evaluations of mechanical and thermal properties of FGM-TBC such as fatigue, oxidation and wear-resistance at high temperatures have been conducted. The samples of both the TBC with 2, 3, 5 layers (YSZ/NiCrAlY) to be produced by Air Plasma Spray method (APS) and the bulk TBC with 6 layers to be produced by Plasma Assisted Sintering method (PAS) were used. Furthermore, residual stress, bond strength, and thermal conductivity were evaluated. The average thickness of the APS was 500$\mu\textrm{m}$ to 600$\mu\textrm{m}$ and the average thickness of the PAS was 3mm. The hardness number of the top layer of APS was 750 Hv to 810Hv and that of PAS was 950 Hv to 1440Hv. The $ZrO_2$ coating layer of APS was composed of tetragonal structure after spraying as the result of XRD analysis. As shown in the results of the high temperature wear test, the 3 layer coating of APS had the best wear resistance at $800^{\circ}C$ and the 5 layer coating of APS had the best wear resistance at $600^{\circ}C$. But, these coatings had the tendency of the low-temperature softening at $300^{\circ}C$. The main mechanism of wear was the adhesive wear and the friction coefficient of coatings was increased as increasing the test temperatures. A s results of thermal conductivity test, the ${\Delta}T$ of the APS coating was increased as number of layer and the range of thermal conductivity of the PAS was $800^{\circ}C$ to $1000^{\circ}C$.

액적충돌침식으로 인한 배관감육 예측체계 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Prediction System for Pipe Wall Thinning Caused by Liquid Droplet Impingement Erosion)

  • The most common pipe wall thinning degradation mechanisms that can occur in the steam and feedwater systems are FAC (Flow Acceleration Corrosion), cavitation, flashing, and LDIE (Liquid Droplet Impingement Erosion). Among those degradation mechanisms, FAC has been investigated by many laboratories and industries. Cavitation and flashing are also protected on the piping design phase. LDIE has mainly investigated in aviation industry and turbine blade manufactures. On the other hand, LDIE has been little studied in NPP (Nuclear Power Plant) industry. This paper presents the development of prediction system for pipe wall thinning caused by LDIE in terms of erosion rate based on air-water ratio and material. Experiment is conducted in 3 cases of air-water ratio 0.79, 1.00, and 1.72 using the three types of the materials of A106B, SS400, and A6061. The main control parameter is the air-water ratio which is defined as the volumetric ratio of water to air (0.79, 1.00, 1.72). The experiments were performed for 15 days, and the surface morphology and hardness of the materials were examined for every 5 days. Since the spraying velocity (v) of liquid droplets and their contact area ($A_c$) on specimens are changed according to the air-water ratio, we analyzed the behavior of LDIE for the materials. Finally, the prediction equations(i.e. erosion rate) for LDIE of the materials were determined in the range of the air-water ratio from 0 to 2%.

12Cr 강의 이동 화염경화 공정 특성 (Characteristics of Flame Hardening Process for 12Cr Steels)

  • In this study, the movable flame hardening process of 12Cr steel for a uniform hardness and desirable residual stress have been investigated. For this, the temperature cycles have been controlled accurately as a function of the three processing variables, the flame intensity $I_f$, the scanning velocity $V_s$, and the initial flame holding time $t_h$, where the standard surface temperature $T_{s,\;max}$, was maintained at $960^{\circ}C$. The optimized conditions were $V_s=0.68mn/s\;and\;t_h=67sec$ for the $C_3H_8:O_2\;=\;5:20l/min,\;V_s=0.80mm/s$ and $t_h=56sec$ for the $C_3H_8:O_2=6:24l/min,\;V_s=1.01mm/s\;and\;t_h=48sec$ for the $C_3H_8:O_2=7:28l/min,\;and\;V_s=1.15mm/s$ and $t_h=39sec$ for the $C_3H_8:O_2$=8:32 l/min. The optimally flame-hardened surface exhibited uniform distributions of the hardness and residual compressive stress over the treated area with moderate levels of $470{\sim}490HV_{0.2}$in hardness and $-300{\sim}-450MPa$ in residual stress, which were acceptable on the basis of the acceptance criteria of Siemens AG-KWU and GE Power Generation Engineering.

  • VARTM 공정에서 고분자 수지가 함침 될 때 시간에 따라 섬유보강재가 팽창하여 섬유체적율이 감소하는 현상이 발생한다. 풍력 블레이드와 같은 대형 복합재료 구조물의 경우 섬유체적율의 변동 폭이 커져 제품의 치수가 변하고 기계적 물성이 저하될 뿐 아니라 예측하지 못한 고분자 수지의 사용량이 증가하는 등의 문제점과 경제적인 손실이 발생할 여지가 증가할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 VARTM 공정에서 수지 함침에 따른 섬유 보강재의 팽창 현상에 관한 분석을 통하여 복합재료 액상 성형 공정에서의 섬유 체적율을 조절하는 방안을 모색하였다. 그 결과 유동 선단의 진행에 따라 섬유의 팽창 현상이 크게 두 단계로 구분되어 나타나는 것을 확인하였고 각각의 단계에서 작용하는 힘을 분석함으로써 섬유의 체적율 변화에 관한 현상학적 모델을 제시하였고 1차원 편미분 수치 해석과 연계하여 VARTM공정에서 수지 함침에 따른 섬유 체적율의 변화를 예측하였다.

  • The Canard rotor/wing (CRW) aircraft concepts offer great potential for application by allowing the use of a common propulsion system for high-speed cruise and low-speed powered lift. Using the rotor for lift in both flight modes increases its utility. In the hovering mode, the exhausted gas from an gas turbine engine is accelerated through the duct system and it provides the tipjet power for rotor system enough to lift the aircraft. In the cruise mode, the rotor is fixed and the exhausted gas is extracted through the main nozzle, such that the aircraft is able to flight with high speed. The duct system was designed using 1-D fanno line flow theory and empirical data. However, the empirical data of the pressure loss coefficient for various bending and dividing ducts were not enough to design our duct system adaptively. Therefore, using 3-D CFD analysis we obtained the pressure loss coefficient for our duct models and chose the appropriate bending or diving duct type. In this paper, we used the CFD-ACE+ software package for the CFD analysis and the modeling of duct system. Through the 3-D CFD analysis, we investigated also the pressure loss and the velocity distributions of the designed whole duct system as well as the blade duct. Comparing the 3-D CFD result with 1-D analysis result, we lessened the uncertainty of the designed duct system and speculated the problem that was not concerned in design state.

풍력단지 설계를 위한 풍황자원의 측정방법 연구 (A Study on Measuring Method of Wind Resources for Wind Farm Design)

  • 현재 기상관측에 사용되는 대표적인 장비는 기상탑과 윈드라이다가 사용되고 있다. 국제 규정에 의하면 기상탑은 단독 측정이 가능하나 윈드라이다 경우 40m 기상탑 혹은 풍력발전기 블레이드 최하단의 높이에 맞는 기상탑을 필수로 설치하고 측정데이타를 보정하여야 한다. 난류는 특성상 100m 이하의 고도에서 빈번하게 발생하며 기상탑 보다는 윈드라이다가 난류의 영향을 많이 받는다. 그럼에도 불구하고 기상탑에 대한 난류 강도는 국제 규정에 명시되어 있으나 윈드라이다 대해서는 별도로 명시하지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 동일한 조건에서 기상탑과 윈드라이다에서 측정된 데이터를 수집하고 불확도 및 난류 강도 비율을 분석한다. 데이터를 분석한 결과 난류 강도 비율이 3%를 초과하는 구간이 부분적으로 존재한다. 따라서 윈드라이다에 대한 난류강도 오차율을 국제 규정에 명시할 것을 제안한다.

Comparative study on the performance of Pod type waterjet by experiment and computation

  • A comparative study between a computation and an experiment has been conducted to predict the performance of a Pod type waterjet for cm amphibious wheeled vehicle. The Pod type waterjet has been chosen on the basis of the required specific speed of more than 2500. As the Pod type waterjet is an extreme type of axial flow type waterjet, theoretical as well as experimental works about Pod type waterjets are very rare. The main purpose of the present study is to validate and compare to the experimental results of the Pod type waterjet with the developed CFD in-house code based on the RANS equations. The developed code has been validated by comparing with the experimental results of the well-known turbine problem. The validation also extended to the flush type waterjet where the pressures along the duct surface and also velocities at nozzle area have been compared with experimental results. The Pod type waterjet has been designed and the performance of the designed waterjet system including duct, impeller and stator was analyzed by the previously mentioned m-house CFD Code. The pressure distributions and limiting streamlines on the blade surfaces were computed to confirm the performance of the designed waterjets. In addition, the torque and momentum were computed to find the entire efficiency and these were compared with the model test results. Measurements were taken of the flow rate at the nozzle exit, static pressure at the various sections along the duct and also the nozzle, revolution of the impeller, torque, thrust and towing forces at various advance speed's for the prediction of performance as well as for comparison with the computations. Based on these measurements, the performance was analyzed according to the ITTC96 standard analysis method. The full-scale effective and the delivered power of the wheeled vehicle were estimated for the prediction of the service speed. This paper emphasizes the confirmation of the ITTC96 analysis method and the developed analysis code for the design and analysis of the Pod type waterjet system.

  • 알루미나이징강에 대하여 초기마모영역에서 rolling-sliding 마모시험을 한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 2차 확산재의 내마모성이 가장 우수하고 처녀재에 비하여 저응력 레벨에서 약 18%, 고응력에서 약 40%의 마모감소를 나타낸다. 2) 2차 확산재는 피복층과 합금층 경계부근의 공공생성으로 인하여 예상보다 내마모성이 낮다. 3) 알루미나이징강의 rolling-sliding 접촉에 의한 마모파양의 형태는 spalling 이며 spalling crack은 합금속의 경계부근에서 발생한다.
