The bending phenomenon has been known to be occurred by the difference of velocity at the die exit. The difference of velocity at the die exit section can be obtained by the different velocity of billets through the multi-hole container. The difference of velocity at the die exit can be controlled by the two variables, the one of them is the different velocity of extrusion punch through the multi-hole container, the other is the difference of hole diameter of muliti-hole container. In this paper the difference of hole diameter is applied. So it can bend during extruding products because of the different amount of two billets when billets would be bonded in the porthole dies cavity. And the bending curvature can be controlled by the size of holes. The experiments with aluminum material for the curved tube product had been done for circular or rectangular curved tube section. The results of the experiments show that the curved tube product can be formed by the extru-bending process without the defects such as distortion of section and thickness change of wall of tube and folding and wrinkling. The curvature of product can be controlled by shape of cross section and the difference of billet diameters. And it is known that the bonding and extruding and bending process can be done simultaneously in the die cavity by the experiments that rectangular hollow curved tubes could be extruded by porthole dies with four different size billets made of aluminum material. And it shows that bending phenomenon can happen during extruding with for different billets from the analysis by DEFORM-3D.
This study was carried out to develop a newly designed ovum pick-up(OPU) instrument for ultrasound-guided transvaginal follicular aspiration in cows. This new instrument consists of out- & inner-layer stainless pipes and a grip with a trigger(hand) switch. Some gauge types of disposable needles and tubes can be attached to this inner pipe. With this instrument, while grasping an ovary with one hand, the other hand can handle in apiration and vacuum on/off with the least assitant's help. With this instrument the mean recovery rate of bovine follicular oocytes was 45.2%. In recovered oocytes, usable oocytes(Grade I & II) were 30.4% and this rate meant 1.4 oocytes per ovary. For 30 days after initial aspiration with this instrument, some adverse effects such as adhesion, hemorrhage, hematoma and other mass formation in/with ovaries were also examined by rectal examination, ultrasonographic and endoscopic images. Adhesion was found in one ovary 1 week after aspiration, and hemorrhagic lesion was found 1-2 days and petechia were found 3-5 days after aspiration and there was no remarkable adverse effects. It was found that this instrument could be applicable and safe for ovum pick-up in cows.

Large-area RF-driven ion source is being developed at Germany for the heating and current drive of ITER plasmas. Negative hydrogen (deuterium) ion sources are major components of neutral beam injection systems in future large-scale fusion experiments such as ITER and DEMO. RF ion sources for the production of positive hydrogen ions have been successfully developed at IPP (Max-Planck- Institute for Plasma Physics, Garching) for ASDEX-U and W7-AS neutral beam injection (NBI) systems. In recent, the first NBI system (NBI-1) has been developed successfully for the KSTAR. The first and second long-pulse ion sources (LPIS-1 and LPIS-2) of NBI-1 system consist of a magnetic bucket plasma generator with multi-pole cusp fields, filament heating structure, and a set of tetrode accelerators with circular apertures. There is a development plan of large-area RF ion source at KAERI to extract the positive ions, which can be used for the second NBI (NBI-2) system of KSTAR, and to extract the negative ions for future fusion devices such as ITER and K-DEMO. The large-area RF ion source consists of a driver region, including a helical antenna (6-turn copper tube with an outer diameter of 6 mm) and a discharge chamber (ceramic and/or quartz tubes with an inner diameter of 200 mm, a height of 150 mm, and a thickness of 8 mm), and an expansion region (magnetic bucket of prototype LPIS in the KAERI). RF power can be transferred up to 10 kW with a fixed frequency of 2 MHz through a matching circuit (auto- and manual-matching apparatus). Argon gas is commonly injected to the initial ignition of RF plasma discharge, and then hydrogen gas instead of argon gas is finally injected for the RF plasma sustainment. The uniformities of plasma density and electron temperature at the lowest area of expansion region (a distance of 300 mm from the driver region) are measured by using two electrostatic probes in the directions of short- and long-dimension of expansion region.
Recent advances of technology in materials science have made it easy to respond to user's needs on high performance steel in civil and building structures. The high-performance and high-strength steel are required for large scale structure and high-rise building to have high-strength, high fracture toughness and better weldability etc. Therefore development of 600MPa class steel for mega structure is necessary. high strength steels, however, may have mechanical properties that are significantly different from those of the conventional steels. The application of high-strength steels to building structures should be reviewed as to whether inelastic behavior equivalent to that of conventional steels can be attained or not. This study researched the structural behavior of high strength circular tubes compression and under flexure. Three column tests and three flexural tests were carried out. The suitability of existing design formulae(KBC 2009) and the structural behavior were investigated through these columns and beams with various types.

Plasma reactor was used to generate a high potential difference between two surfaces of concentric pyrex tubes by electrical current. The annular gap of the reactor was calculated by trial and error from the breakdown voltage equation and set at 0.45 cm. The overall objective of this research was to know the effects of the frequency, humidity, and residence time on the formation of nitrogen oxides in a plasma reactor. The primary voltage varied from 50 to 90 volts and the frequency was varied in increments of 10 Hz from 60 to 650 Hz at the primary voltage of 90. The increase in the secondary voltage was not linear but exponential at high frequencies. At a maximum concentration of about 745 ppm, the frequency and secondary voltage was 600 Hz and 4,200 volts, respectively. All tests for the effects of humidity on NO$_{x}$ production were performed at the optimal setting of 90 colts and 600 Hz frequency. Since the NO$_{x}$ production was not an one dimensional phenomenon, competing reactions were assumed to occur in the discharge chamber. The sharp peak concentration of 1,810 ppm was observed at 38% of relative humidity, The enhanced production was choked off, and the production rate rapidly dropped to 3 ppm at above 40% of relative humidity. It is assumed that the corona attacks the most vulnerable molecules in the reaction chamber before attacking other more lightly bonded molecules, possibly at humidities above 38% and the optimized 90 volt setting. Thus, there was not enough energy left after attacking all water molecules to decompose an appreciable amount of $N_2$. If nitrogen breakdown does not occur, then oxides of nitrogen are not likely to be produced.ced.

Recently, geotextile tube method can be widely applied to the river, costal and marine in the construction field, such as embankment, groin, breakwater, dyke structures and so on, in advanced countries of the world. And that has been constructed at the temporary road for incheon, ilsan-bridge construction and coast erosion protection in republic of korea. Geotextile tube is a tube shaped geotextile product and hydraulic pumping filled with dredged soils. In this paper, the numerical analysis was performed to investigate the behavior of geotextile tube with various properties of material character, shape condition, construction pressure and so on. Also, the field test was conducted in order to identify the construction ability of Samangum waterproof embankment using geotextile tube. According to the applied of field test, geotextile tube was 65 m long and 4.0 m diameter. Also, the permeability coefficient and ultimate tensile strength of geotextile tube is $1.6{\times}10^{-1}$ cm/sec and 205.26 kN/m, respectively. As a result of filed test, when filled, geotextile tube does not attain the same as its unfilled theoretical diameter, but may reach approximately of 55 percent of the theoretical diameter. At the time, geotextile tubes were 12.56 m in circumference and filled to a height of about 2.2 m. This paper presents case study on field application and behavior analysis of the saemangum waterproof embankment donggin 1 division construction using geotextile tube.
Concentration change of soil-applied pretilachlor (2-chloro-2',6'-diethyl- N-2-propoxyethyl)-actanilide) was investigated under upland condition with various soil moisture contents ranging from 50 to 80%(water content by weight). Following pretilachlor from each soil solution was extracted by centrifugation using double tubes, its concentration was determined by HPLC. Pretilachlor concentration in the soil solutions were almost the same under various soil moisture conditions. However, the total amount of pretilachlor increased as the soil moisture content increased. With increasing soil moisture content, the bioactivity of soil-applied pretilachlor on inhibiting the growth of Echinochloa ultilis Ohwi et Yabuno and the absorption of $^{14}C$-pretilachlor in its plants were also enhanced. Our results demonstrate that the absorption of pretilachlor in plants varies with soil moisture content and thus the bioactivity of soil-applied pretilachlor on inhibiting plant growth is different under various soil moisture conditions at the same dosage based on air-dried weight.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the capacity of 2% chlorhexidine gel associated with 8% papain gel in comparison with 5.25% sodium hypochlorite in bovine pulp tissue dissolution. Materials and Methods: Ninety bovine pulps of standardized sizes were used and fragmented into 5-mm sizes. The fragments were removed from the root middle third region. They were divided into 6 experimental groups (n = 15), 1) 8% papain; 2) 2% chlorhexidine; 3) 2% chlorhexidine associated with 8% papain; 4) 0.9% saline solution; 5) 2.5% sodium hypochlorite; and 6) 5.25% sodium hypochlorite. The pulp fragments were weighed and put into immobile test tubes for dissolution for time intervals of 30, 60, 90, and 120 min. Results: The 5.25% sodium hypochlorite had greater dissolution potential than the pure papain, and when associated with chlorhexidine, both promoted greater dissolution than did the saline solution and 2% chlorhexidine groups (p < 0.05). The 2.5% sodium hypochlorite promoted dissolution to a lesser extent than the groups with papain within a period of 30 min (p < 0.05), but, was comparable to the saline solution and chlorhexidine. After 120 min, the 2.5% and 5.25% sodium hypochlorite promoted dissolution of 100% of the pulp fragments, and papain, 61%, while chlorhexidine associated with papain and chlorhexidine alone dissolved only 55% and 3%, respectively. Conclusions: The 8% papain in gel, both alone and in association with chlorhexidine, was able to dissolve bovine pulp tissue, but to a lesser extent than did 5.25% sodium hypochlorite.

The paper is presented experimental study results on bond stress between profiled steel and concrete in Profiled SPC(Profiled Steel Plate Concrete) rectangular steel tubes through an experimental program in which 13 pull-out specimens were tested. Advantages and class of composite members and current problems of construction work are noted, past research of PSSC is described. An experimental study is described and evaluated. The bond capacity is interrelated with slip at the steel concrete interface. The factors influencing the mechanism of bond stress transfer were the cross section shape, length/diameter, diameter/thickness and environmental parameters (temperature, moisture). The results of experimental program indicated that the force transfer could be characterized into two regions The first region was governed by bond with no relative slip between the profiled steel and concrete. The second region occurs after the chemical debonding. Bond stress transfer in this region was governed by frictional resistance between profiled steel and concrete and cross section shapes. The important factors influencing the magnitude of frictional resistance are the profiled steel shapes, length/diameter and environmental parameters. (temperature, moisture)
The changes in the partition coefficient of model proteins (lysozyme, myoglobin, conalbumin, bovine serum albumin) in an aqueous two-phase system formed by polyethylene glycol and dextran were examined in order to improve the capacity of counter current distribution for the protein fractionation and concentration. The protein distribution patterns in CCD with 30 tubes varied with the pH of the system, and both theoretical and measured values agreed well. From the mixture of model protein, pure BSA fraction was appeared at the upper-phase of 14th tube having pH 4.5, pure myoglobin at the lower-phase of the 16th be with pH 6.5 and conalbumin at the lower-phase of 4th tube with pH 12. The result indicated the possible use of CCD method for protein fractionation, if the partition coefficient of proteins was manipulated by pH and other means.
