A Study on Factors that Affect Intention to Use Accommodation Sharing Service (숙박공유서비스 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose The sharing economy is the most important keyword that is changing the paradigm of the world economy and management, and it was selected as one of 10 ideas to change the world in 2011 in Time magazine. The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationship between perceived value and risk, network effect, usefulness, trust, and intention to use of accommodation service. In addition, the effects of utility and trust, and the experience of using accommodation service are controlled by the effect of empirical value and reciprocal value among the perceived value of sharing economic service, The purpose of this study is to propose a plan to activate the accommodation sharing service. Design/methodology/approach This study was designed to investigate the structural relationship between perceived value, perceived risk, network effect, usefulness, trust, and intention to use. Empirical analysis was done using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 Findings Based on the results of this study, the following conclusions can be drawn. First, it was concluded that the higher the economic value of the accommodation sharing service is, the more useful and reliable the service is. Second, the higher the experiential value of the accommodation sharing service is, the higher the usefulness and reliability of the service are. Third, it was concluded that the higher the value of the mutual benefit of the accommodation sharing service is, the higher the trust level of the service is, but not the usefulness of the service. Fourth, it was concluded that the higher the perceived risk of accommodation sharing service is, the lower the service trust level is, but the service usability is not affected. Fifth, it was concluded that the larger the network effect of the accommodation sharing service is, the more useful the service is, but it does not affect the reliability of the service. Sixth, it was concluded that the higher the overall reliability of the accommodation sharing service is, the higher the usefulness of the service is. Seventh, it was concluded that the higher the overall usefulness and reliability of the accommodation sharing service are, the higher the intention to use the sharing service is. Finally, in order to test the effect of the experience on the use of trust and usefulness of the accommodation sharing service, multiple group analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between trust and usefulness, It is shown that there is a moderating effect in the path.

Information Privacy Concerns and Trust in SNS

  • In this paper, we examined the causes of information privacy concerns, trust and related factors in social network services. On the basis of the 'elaboration likelihood model,' we established factors such as information quality, privacy policy, perceived SNS app popularity and optimism bias affecting information privacy concern of SNS users. In addition, we analyzed the relationship between information privacy concern, trust in SNS members, trust in SNS platform and intention to use. Finally, on the basis of the 'trust transfer theory', we analyzed the relationship between trust in SNS members and trust in SNS platform. The results of the study showed that (1) information quality, privacy policy and optimism bias had the significant effects on information privacy concerns, (2) perceived SNS app popularity didn't affect information privacy concerns, (3) information privacy concerns had the significant effects on trust in SNS platforms (4) in accordance with the trust transfer theory, trust in SNS members had the significant effect on trust in SNS platforms, and (5) trust in SNS members had the significant effect on intention to use, while trust in SNS platform didn't have the significant effect on intention to use. The findings of the study are expected to help to improve the SNS firms' understanding towards customers' information privacy protection behaviors and trust.

The Effects of Network Capability and the Distribution on Firm Performance of Hotel Businesses in Thailand

  • Purpose: The aim of this research is to study 1) the effects of internal factors (technological capability and entrepreneurial orientation) that affect Thailand's hotel business network capability. 2) the effects of external factors (government policy and trust relationship) that affect Thailand's hotel business network capability. 3) the impact of network capability on the firm performance. 4) the moderating effect of absorptive capacity between network capability and firm performance. Research design, data and methodology: The test model collected data from a mail survey of 164 hotel businesses in Thailand. The correlation and multiple regression were adopted to analyze and test the proposed hypotheses. Results: Interestingly, technological capability, entrepreneurship orientation, and trust relationship have a direct impact on network capability. However, network capability still does not have a significant relationship with firm performance in all dimensions. Surprisingly, the absorptive capacity does not have a moderating effect on the relationship of network capability on firm performance of hotel businesses in Thailand. Conclusions: This research found that the hotel business should focus on analyzing the external and internal environment as it affects network building, which will guide the creation of strategies for further increasing hotel distribution channels and competitive advantage.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크(Wireless Sensor Network)는 낮은 배터리, 짧은 통신거리 등의 제한된 센서들의 성능에 기인하여 내부자공격(insider attacks)에 취약한 것으로 알려져 있는데, 내부자 공격에 대응하기 위한 대표저인 방법으로 노드들의 행위 관찰하여 신뢰도를 평가하고 낮은 신뢰도를 갖는 노드들을 제거하는 신뢰메커니즘(Trust Mechanism: TM)이 있다. TM은 평가노드 자신의 직접관찰 정보뿐만 아니라 이웃노드의 간접관찰 정보를 함께 고려하도록 발전되어 왔는데, False-Praise 공격은 의도적으로 거짓 관찰 정보를 평가노드에게 제공하여 TM의 신뢰도 평가 프로세스의 신뢰성을 훼손하는 지능적 공격이다. 본 논문에서는 False-Praise 공격에 대응을 위한 합의 알고리즘을 기반의 개선된 TM 제안하고, 실험을 통해 제안 체계의 성능과 효과를 검증한다.

Movie Experience Sharing on Social Networking Sites of Cinema: Interplay between Telepresence and Customer Delight

  • This study aims to investigate the effects of telepresence on young moviegoers' flow experiences and social interactions, and the impact on consumer delight, trust, and experience sharing behavior on cinema mobile social network site pages. Given the scarcity of telepresence research, indirect telepresence on experience sharing via two experiences and social interactions is also included. The study used pages from Korean cinema mobile social network sites, and 175 Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea participated. We found that telepresence positively impacts the activity in both human-human and human-computer interactions. We further contend that telepresence positively affects perceived enjoyment and attentional focus. However, perceived enjoyment does not significantly affect consumer delight. We found that consumer delight positively influences consumer trust and movie experience sharing. Moreover, we illustrated that telepresence significantly and indirectly influences consumer movie experience-sharing behavior through attention focus and consumer delight. Our results provide crucial insights for future study and practical managerial.

  • This paper examines the diverse conceptualizations of trust and explores the multi-level factors affecting trust in organizations. Trust in organizations can be defined as a willingness to be vulnerable to the actions of others and to take risks based on the positive expectations toward the others' intentions and behaviors. The process of building and the content of trust in organizations can vary depending on the social and cultural backgrounds in which. the organizations lie. The reengineering process toward a flatter and flexible organizational structure requires the presence of trusting relationships within organizations. Networks within organizations can function as a basis and channel of trust formation. Finally, the importance of trust in efficient leadership process was discussed.

  • There has been an explosive increase in the population of OSN(online social network) for 10 years. OSN provides users with many opportunities to have communication among friends, families and goes so far as to make relationships among unknown people having similar belief or interest. However, OSN also produced adverse effects such as privacy breaches, leaking uncontrolled information or disseminating false information. Access control models such as MAC, DAC, RBAC are applied to the OSN to control those problems but those models in OSN are not fit in dynamic OSN environment because user's acts in OSN are unpredictable and static access control imposes burden on users to change access control rules one by one. This paper proposes the dynamic trust-based access control to solve the problems of traditional static access control in OSN.

  • Recently, as Internet enters WEB 2.0, many social network services through such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube appeared. In these social network sites, users can easily make friends, join groups and access others personal information. Therefore, a malicious user can easily gather information of others. In order to protect user's personal information from the unauthenticated users, we propose privacy protection mechanism based on key assignment and user's trust level. A master-key is generated for each users and is segmented into a core-key and several sub-key. The master-key stores at the information owner's side and the sub-key will be distributed to requestor according to the relation and trust level. At last, in order to proof the efficiency, the performance of our proposed mechanism is compared with those of existing mechanisms.
