An Interpretable Bearing Fault Diagnosis Model Based on Hierarchical Belief Rule Base

  • Bearings are one of the main components of mechanical equipment and one of the primary components prone to faults. Therefore, conducting fault diagnosis on bearings is a key issue in mechanical equipment research. Belief rule base (BRB) is essentially an expert system that effectively integrates qualitative and quantitative information, demonstrating excellent performance in fault diagnosis. However, class imbalance often occurs in the diagnosis task, which poses challenges to the diagnosis. Models with interpretability can enhance decision-makers' trust in the output results. However, the randomness in the optimization process can undermine interpretability, thereby reducing the level of trustworthiness in the results. Therefore, a hierarchical BRB model based on extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) feature selection with interpretability (HFS-IBRB) is proposed in this paper. Utilizing a main BRB alongside multiple sub-BRBs allows for the conversion of a multi-classification challenge into several distinct binary classification tasks, thereby leading to enhanced accuracy. By incorporating interpretability constraints into the model, interpretability is effectively ensured. Finally, the case study of the actual dataset of bearing fault diagnosis demonstrates the ability of the HFS-IBRB model to perform accurate and interpretable diagnosis.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the behavioral factors affecting the security attitude and intention to use biometrics password based on the protection motivation theory. This study also investigates security awareness training to understand trust, privacy, and security vulnerability regarding biometric authentication password. This empirical analysis reveals security awareness training boosts the protection motivational factors that affect on the behavior and intention of using biometric authentication passwords. This study also indicates that biometric authentication passwords can be used when the overall belief in a biometric system is present. After all, security awareness training enhances the belief of biometric passwords and increase the motivation to protect security threats. The study will provide insights into protecting security vulnerability with security awareness training.

The Effect of Franchise Entrepreneurial Passion on Corporate Trust, Identification, and Loyalty (프랜차이즈 기업가 열정이 기업신뢰, 일체감, 그리고 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose - In align with the increasing competition in both online and offline franchise markets caused by the increasing impact of social networking service, entrepreneurial passion(EP) of the franchise owners has crucial impact on the stakeholders. This study proposed the customer among stakeholders has the critical influence firm's success and examined the structural relationship between entrepreneurial passion(EP) and trust, identification, and loyalty from the customer's perspective. Research design, data, and methodology - This study examines the structural relationship between entrepreneurial passion(EP), trust, identification, and loyalty from the customer's perspective. More specifically, the EP were measured using three sub-dimensions such as EP-inventing(Perceived passion for inventing), EP-founding(Perceived passion for foundting), and EP-developing(Perceived passion for developing). In order to verify the research purposes, research model and hypotheses were developed. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. Each item was measured on a 7 point Likert-scale anchored by '1 = strongly disagree, 7 = strongly agree'. The data were collected from 449 franchise consumers through online survey and were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and Smart PLS 3.0. statistical program. Result - The results of this study are as follows. First, EP-inventing and EP-developing have significant impacts on corporate trust. Second, EP-founding does not have significant impact on corporate trust. Third, EP-inventing and EP-founding have significant impacts on consumer identification. Fourth, EP-developing does not have impact on identification directly, but does indirectly through corporate trust as a mediator. Fifth, corporate trust and identification have significant impacts on loyalty. Conclusions - This indicates that the foodservice franchise CEOs should continuously develop new menus and service to fulfill customer needs. EP-inventing of the food franchise CEOs may enhance customer trust for higher quality of product or service, and EP-developing can also be a driving force for customer trust as it embeds belief in customers that the franchise is sustainably developing. Also, food franchise CEOs should first clarify the support process for the existing brands before developing new ones. Customers tend to lead the trend by using brands that satisfy new trends in the foodservice franchise market, and it could have identification with the trend-setting franchise. Customers do not accept if a company is different from their personal image or norms. So the franchise CEOs must create identification with customers by building corporate trust. Corporate trust influences consumer behavior and emotion, thus the franchises need to secure trust by improving product or service continuously.

  • In Network Environment, Kerberos certification mechanism to require Kerberos server in other area unconditionally belief. Also, Kerberos server in cooperation area must be share server of other area and secret key. To solve these two problems, this paper proposed safe security mechanism of doing to ably IETF CAT's PKINIT/PKCROSS a1gorithm with Public Key Infrastructure and use Directory System and service between realms do trust and prove each Kerberos trust center base. Also, Although Kerberos server of each area must be foreknowing each server's secret key and public key, Obtain through Trust center and acquire each area's public key and common symmetric key, Application server excluded process that must register key in Key Distribution Center.

A Comparative Study of Potential Job Candidates' Perceptions of an AI Recruiter and a Human Recruiter (인공지능 인사담당자와 인간 인사담당자에 대한 잠재적 입사지원자들의 인식 비교 연구)

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) is already being utilized in certain personnel selection processes in organizations; AI will eventually make even final decisions for personnel selection. The present study investigated potential job candidates' perceptions of an AI recruiter by comparing the selection procedures carried out by an AI recruiter to those carried out by a human recruiter. For this study college students in South Korea were recruited. They were each shown one of two recruitment scenarios (human recruiter vs. AI recruiter; between-subject design) followed by questionnaires measuring their satisfaction with the selection procedures and procedural justice, their trust in the recruiter, and their belief in a just world. Results show that potential job candidates were more satisfied with the selection procedures used by the AI recruiter than the human recruiter; they perceived the procedures as fairer than those used by the human recruiter. In addition, potential job candidates' trust in the AI recruiter was significantly higher than their trust in the human recruiter. This study also explored whether potential job candidates' perceptions of the AI and human recruiter were contingent upon their beliefs in a just world. The present study suggests a direction for future research.

  • There has been an explosive increase in the population of OSN(online social network) for 10 years. OSN provides users with many opportunities to have communication among friends, families and goes so far as to make relationships among unknown people having similar belief or interest. However, OSN also produced adverse effects such as privacy breaches, leaking uncontrolled information or disseminating false information. Access control models such as MAC, DAC, RBAC are applied to the OSN to control those problems but those models in OSN are not fit in dynamic OSN environment because user's acts in OSN are unpredictable and static access control imposes burden on users to change access control rules one by one. This paper proposes the dynamic trust-based access control to solve the problems of traditional static access control in OSN.

  • Found pesticide-contaminated eggs in 2017, the situation became a hot issue in many countries in the world as well as Korea. In the context of the pesticide-contaminated egg, this study explored that preventive behavioral intention would be predicted by perceived susceptibility and severity from health belief model, trust in the government and evaluation of information from the government, and subjective knowledge. We found that preventive behavioral intention was explained by perceived severity (${\beta}=.262$, t=3.531, p<0.001), trust in the government (${\beta}=.25$, t=3.281, p<0.001), and evaluation of the information from the government (${\beta}=.226$, t=2.936, p<0.01) through stepwise multiple linear regression analysis. The findings imply the government would administer policy in terms of credibility, accuracy, and consistency for decreasing the public's sense of unease and panic when a similar incident occurs.

  • 인터넷의 급속한 성장으로 e비즈니스의 인터넷 사용이 증대되었다. 인터넷 환경에서는 새로운 인터넷 사용자라는 소비자를 대상으로 인터넷 소비자 행동에 관한 연구가 중요한 분야로 자리잡게 되었다. 인터넷상에서의 소비자 행동을 설명하기 위해 온라인 인지절차 (Cognitive process)에 관한 연구로, 웹 사이트에 대한 소비자의 태도에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 연구들이 수행되었다. 웹 사이트에 대한 소비자의 태도에 따른 개인화된 마케팅을 위해서는 웹사이트를 소비자의 특성을 고려해서 개인화된 웹사이트를 운영해야 한다. 개인의 정보 시스템 사용에 대한 설명을 위하여 많은 모형들이 개발되어 왔다. 기술 수용 모형(Technology Acceptance Model: TAM)은 개인의 정보 시스템 수용에 영향을 미치는 요소를 설명하기 위하여 가장 폭 넓게 사용되고 있는 모형이다. TRA 모형에 따르면, 개인의 사회적 행위는 그 행위의 결과에 대한 신념에 의해 영향을 받는다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 고객의 신념을 신뢰 (Trust), 유용성 (Usefulness), 사용의 편의성 (Ease of Use), 위험 (Risk), 보안통제 (Security control)로 분류하고, 고객의 실제 사용 (Usage)을 인터넷 뱅킹 환경에서 측정하여 고객세분화에 적용하였다. 세분화된 고객집단을 분류하기 위해서 인공신경망, 판별 분석 기법을 적용하여 웹 사이트에서 사용할 수 있는 개인화 모형을 개발하였다.

Workers' fear of dental treatment and other factors (근로자들의 치과치료에 대한 공포감과 관련요인)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to present how to reduce the fear associated with dental treatment by analyzing the fear levels for dental treatment, the influential factors for the fear, the general characteristics of patients and the correlations between trust in dental care professionals and satisfaction with dental treatment. Methods : The subjects were 400 workers at 5 industrial sites, which got health management conducted by health management agencies, among small and medium industrial sites located in the Gyeongbuk region of South Korea during a period of February to March, 2009. Results & Conclusion : 1. Of the subjects, 134 (30.7%) and 303 (69.3%) persons had high and low fear levels of dental treatment respectively. 2. The fear levels of dental treatment were higher in women than men, and significantly high in proportion to the patients' subjective bad health levels and past dental care fear frequencies. 3. The fear associated with dental treatment was significantly correlated to the trust in dentists.

The Study on Social Capital and Community Sense Formation for the Sustainability of Fashion Social Enterprises (패션 사회적 기업의 지속가능성을 위한 사회적 자본 및 공동체의식 형성에 대한 연구)

  • This research intends to observe the effects of social capital regarding fashion social enterprises on the community sense of participating consumers, and verify the relationship of the effects that such social capital and community sense have on sustainability formation variable(shared values, suitability of values, behavioral flow, cognitive belief and long-term relationship orientation) of social enterprises. For such analysis, a sample of 400 consumers with experience of purchasing products of fashion social enterprises more than once was utilized, and path analysis was conducted utilizing AMOS 20.0. As a result of this research, first, information sharing, social participation among the characteristic factors of social enterprises' social capital had a meaningful impact on shared values, and self-pursuit and significance meaningfully affected the suitability of values. Second, mutual influence, sense of belonging, satisfaction of needs and emotional bond among the characteristic factors of community sense between social enterprises and consumers meaningfully affected shared values, whereas mutual influence, sense of belonging and emotional bond substantially influenced suitability of values. Third, shared values and suitability of values affected the relationship between behavioral flow and cognitive trust, and behavioral flow and cognitive trust both had meaningful impact on long-term relationship orientation.
