Analysis of accommodation amplitude has been conducted for 137 adults, living in rural area, aged from their fifties to eighties. The methods included measurement of correction power for distance via auto-refractometer, measurement of near power based on trial frame and trial lens set, and calculation of effective accommodation amplitude using 1/2 and 2/3 of the maximum accommodation amplitude. The research results for participants aged in their fifties, sixties, seventies, and eighties showed 1.84~2.46D, 1.55~2.06D, 1.43~1.90D, and 1.22~1.62D respectively. It is relatively higher than the existing knowledge regarding accommodation amplitude associated with age.

This paper dealt with the LED optical illumination system design for the Masthead navigation light to replace halogen lamps. We made Fresnel lens satisfy luminous intensity distribution of "Convention on the International Regulation for Preventing Collisions at Sea(COLREG)". The optical system is designed by classifying three parts: light source, lens, and cut off plate. The source of light has been made to have the uniform horizontal and vertical light distribution by placing 6 LEDs at intervals of $54^{\circ}$, and as the cylindrical Fresnel lens, the lens has been designed to achieve the uniform horizontal and vertical light distribution in the range of plain light. Finally, the cover has been designed to block the light from the outside of plain light and ultimately met the standards for light distribution of navigation lights. In addition, the validity of design has been verified with manufacturing a trial product.

This study attempted to design lights with Type II distribution suitable for LED street lights based on the regulations of street light distribution developed by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). The shape of an asymmetric lens, different from that of a rotationally symmetric lens, cannot be generated using a simple mathematical formula. In the first trial, the outline of the lens was fixed and simulated to confirm the distribution type. Following ISENA regulations, some problems that occurred during simulations and repeating was be modified that process is how we detected errors. Through optical research and simulations, a lens conforming to the regulations of Type II very short, Type II short, and Type II medium distributions was developed. A prototype was developed using simulation data and it was subjected to distribution tests. The results show that it can compare with property of Type II distribution.
The setup of the moir$\acute{e}$ deflectometry using the virtual grating was done, so the convergence and divergence of a pencil of ray was determined. The light source was He-Ne laser(3mW). The focal length of the first lens, the second lens being 18 mm, 250 mm respectively was used for the setup of the beam expander. The optics of the moir$\acute{e}$ deflectometry determining the vergence was used a diffraction grating(pitch = $1.6{\mu}m/line$) and a front flat reflection mirror. The effective focal length of the trial lens set was measured and compared with the theoretical value.
White light MTF(Modulation Transter Function)s of biconvex trial lenses from 10 to 20 diopter (D) were represented as a function of angular frequency and visual acuity, and then they were compared with AIM(Aerial Image Modulation) curves. All of the biconvex trial lenses evaluated in on-axis mode had MTF performance that could resolve Landolt's ring up to visual acuity 2.0. However, in a half field angle of five degrees, the trial lens of 10 diopters was able to resolve Landolt's ring up to visual acuity 0.9, and that of 20 diopter only up to visual acuity 0.8. This means that the trial lenses in the case of a half field angle of five degrees do not have sufficient resolution to measure visual acuity by 1.0.
Prior researchers interpreted the records of criminal cases involving the Progressive Party from a historical perspective. In marked contrast to existing trends, this study examines the Progressive Party case records through the lens of archival science. This study dissects the Progressive Party case records as a single and complete record group and at each stage of their life cycle from police investigation through criminal prosecution to trial. This approach enables a holistic analysis of archival characteristics of the records. This study begins with an appraisal of the nature and types of case records generated and maintained by the various agencies in light of the investigatory authorities delegated to each institution. This study then dissects the police, prosecution, and Counter Intelligence Corps records leading up to the indictment of Progressive Party members as well as the court records of the trial that followed. In particular, this study reveals the insufficiency and illegality of the evidence against the defendants in the Progressive Party case from an archival standpoint. Setting aside the admissibility or strength of the evidence under criminal law, the present study demonstrates that the records lack reliability, authenticity, and integrity-the fundamental attributes required for evidentiary efficacy of records from an archival standpoint.

We polymerized material of AA(Acrylic acid) and BMA(butyl methacrylate) to make up for the weak points of hydrogel contact lens. The synthesis process of silicone synthesis is as follows. Acrylate-PDMS(Polydimethylsiloxane)-Urethane prepolymer was composed after Diisocynate reacted with HEMA(2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate) under the catalyst and it reacted again with bis(hydroxyalkyl) terminated poly(dimethylsiloxane) with high oxygen transmissibility characteristics. HEMA(2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate) was used to make prepolymer that can be polymerized and the urethane was used to improve elasticity and oxygen transmissibility, copolymerization was performed with conventional hydrogel contact lens materials to make silicone hydrogel contact lens with higher oxygen transmissibility. For manufacturing of contact lens, We added BMA(Butyl methacrylate) with better elasticity and flexibility, and AA(Acrylic acid) with higher moisturizing to used contact lens materials. AIBN (Azobis2-methylpropionitrile) as initiator and EGDMA(Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylat) as crosslinking agent were used and the lens with higher oxygen transmissibility and better moisturizing were manufactured complying with basic contact lens properties, which have several combination trial of each monomer characteristics. Compounding SN which included SILICONE, HEMA, NVP and EGDMA etc was showed by swelling ratio of 9.38% and water content of 23.7%. SN was showed by swelling ratio of 9.38%, water content of 23.7% and a visible ray transmissibility of 89%. SB which added BMA in the SN was showed by swelling ratio of 12.50%, water content of 18.56% and a visible ray transmissibility of 88%. SAB which added both AA and BMA in the SN was showed by swelling ratio of 8.33%, water content of 12.93% and a visible ray transmissibility of 88%.
Purpose: To design and fabricate the distributed auto edging machine for the development. Methods: We got the necessary data needed in design by using CAD. Based on the these data, we fabricated the trial product for the development of the distributed auto edging machine. Results: The patternless mode could be operated by receiving the eyesize data from the auto lay-outer with the RS232C transmission system and the pattern mode could be operated by setting the pattern on the left side of the machine. The distributed auto edging machine were composed with combinations of many elements; head, auto arm, pattern clamp and grinding wheels. The head part controlled the grinding of ophthalmic lens by operating the vertical and horizontal motors. The wheels part was comprised of glass mode, plastic mode, V-bevel mode and polish mode. The slide in the auto arm was equipped on the below of the patten and the slide could hold up the pattern which was rotated by fixed shaft. The pattern clamp could move the head part to the up and down or right or left way by the manual operation of optometrists. Conclusions: We could succeed in making the trial product by applying it to the development of the distributed auto edging machine which could be used as the patternless mode and pattern mode, selectively. Therefore, it was confidently expected that this product was very helpful for the optometrists to dispense the ophthalmic lens because of its cost-efficiency and convenience.
This study was investigated the refractive state and the analysis of ametropic frequency among schoolchildren who were the three grade in W elementary school in Suwon. Total 488eye (244 persons) were examined by the trial-lens set and the questionary. Through Trial-Lens set verification, several factors related to ametropic frequency were obtained as the following. Among the 244 persons, the students who wear spectacles or need to wear spectacles were 27.3%, among the 27.3% students, the students who have low visual acuity below 0.3 were 6.3%. The ametropia eyes among the total eyes were 27.3%. Among ametropic eyes, myopia and hyperopia were 25.4% and 1.9%. Among the total ametropic errors were low refractive error were 71.4%, and middle refractive error were 28.6%. In ratio myopic frequency, it was statistically related to the refractive errors with the environments factors such as reading distance & habits, T.V watching distance. Among the students belonged to below 0.7 visual acuity, the wear spectacles students were 63.3%. The ratio of anisometropia was 3.4%.
We have analyzed various tolerances of the multi-configurative microscopic system for inspecting the wire-bonding of a reed frame by using the Gaussian bracket method and the equivalent lens method. The tolerances for the curvature and the thickness, which are axial symmetric tolerances, are given by varying the back focal length within a fecal depth under diffraction-limited conditions. Moreover, by using the trial and error method, the axial non-symmetric tolerances for decenter and tilt are established by assigning the 5% variation of MTF(modulation transfer function) at the spatial frequency of 50 lp/mm and at the field angle of 0.7 field. As the tolerances with the most probable distribution are distributed within the range of the decay rate of less than 5% independent of the probability distribution of tolerances, we can achieve completely the desired design performances of the multi-configurative microscopic system by using the various ranges of these tolerances.
