태양광열-지열 이용 Tri-generation 시스템의 적정 용량 설계를 위한 해석 연구 (Study on the Optimal Capacity Design for Tri-generation System using PVT and GSHP)

  • Renewable energy systems are essential for the realization of zero energy building (ZEB). Moreover, the integrated system using solar and geothermal energy has been developed for heating, cooling and power of the building. However, there are few studies considering various design factors for system design. In this study, in order to develop the optimal design method for the system, the performance of the system was quantitatively compared and analyzed through dynamic simulation. Moreover, economic analysis was conducted based on the results of system performance. Through the performance and economic analysis results, the optimal design method of the tri-generation system was proposed.

  • In a gas engine, the exhaust and the engine cooling water are generated. The engine cooling water temperature is $100^{\circ}C$ and the exhaust temperature is $500^{\circ}C$. The amount of heat of engine cooling water is 43 kW and the amount of heat of exhaust is 21 kW. Eight different hybrid organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system configurations which considering different amount and temperature of waste heat are proposed for two gas engine tri-generation system and are thermodynamically analyzed. Simple system which concentrating two different waste heat on relatively low temperature engine cooling water shows highest thermal efficiency of 7.84% with pressure ratio of 3.67 and shaft power of 5.17 kW.

온실 냉난방을 위한 연료전지 기반 열병합 발전 시스템 (Fuel Cell-based Cogeneration System for Greenhouse Cooling and Heating)

  • This study proposes polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) based cogeneration system for greenhouse heating and cooling. The main scope of this study is to examine the proposed cogeneration system's suitability for the 660 m2-class greenhouse. A 25 kW PEMFC system generates electricity for two identical air-cooled heat pumps, each with a nominal heating capacity of 70 kW and a cooling capacity of 65 kW. Heat recovered from the fuel cell supports the heat pump, supplying hot water to the greenhouse. In cooling mode, the adsorption system provides cold water to the greenhouse using recovered heat from the fuel cell. As a result, the cogeneration system satisfies both heating and cooling capability, performing 175 and 145 kW, respectively.

  • In this study, highly thermal stable Ni Germanosilicide has been utilized using NiPt alloy and novel NiPt/Co/TiN tri-layer. And, the Ni Germanosilicide Properties were characterized according to different Ge ratio (x) in $Si_{l-x}Ge_x$ for the next generation CMOS application. The sheet resistance of Ni Germanosilicide utilizing pure-Ni increased dramatically after the post-silicidation annealing at $600^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. Moreover, more degradation was found as the Ge fraction increases. However, using the proposed NiPt/Co/TiN tri-layer, low temperature silicidation and wide range of RTP process window were achieved as well as the improvement of the thermal stability according to different Ge fractions by the subsequent Co and TiN capping layer above NiPt on the $Si_{l-x}Ge_x$. Therefore, highly thermal immune Ni Germanosilicide up to $600^{\circ}C$ for 30 min is utilized using the NiPt/Co/TiN tri-layer promising for future SiGe based ULSI technology.

A Symbolic Computation Method for Automatic Generation of a Full Vehicle Model Simulation Code for a Driving Simulator

  • This paper deals with modeling and computer simulation of a full multibody vehicle model for a driving simulator. The multibody vehicle model is based on the recursive formulation and a corresponding simulation code is generated automatically from AUTOCODE, which is a symbolic computation package developed by the authors using MAPLE. The paper describes a procedure for automatically generating a highly efficient simulation code for the full vehicle model, while incorporating realistically modeled components. The following issues have been accounted for in the procedure, including software design for representing a mechanical system in symbolic form as a set of computer data objects, a multibody formulation for systems with various types of connections between bodies, automatic manipulation of symbolic expressions in the multibody formulation, interface design for allowing users to describe unconventional force-and torque-producing components, and a method for accommodating external computer subroutines that may have already been developed. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method have been demonstrated by the simulation code developed and implemented for driving simulation.

Development of Prototype Multi-channel Digital EIT System with Radially Symmetric Architecture

  • We describe the development of a prototype multi-channel electrical impedance tomography (EIT) system. The EIT system can be equipped with either a single-ended current source or a balanced current source. Each current source can inject current between any chosen pair of electrodes. In order to reduce the data acquisition time, we implemented multiple digital voltmeters simultaneously acquiring and demodulating voltage signals. Each voltmeter measures a differential voltage between a fixed pair of adjacent electrodes. All voltmeters are configured in a radially symmetric architecture to optimize the routing of wires and minimize cross-talks. To maximize the signal-to-noise ratio, we implemented techniques such as digital waveform generation, Howland current pump circuit with a generalized impedance converter, digital phase-sensitive demodulation, tri-axial cables with both grounded and driven shields, and others. The performance of the EIT system was evaluated in terms of common-mode rejection ratio, signal-to-noise ratio, and reciprocity error. Future design of a more innovative EIT system including battery operation, miniaturization, and wireless techniques is suggested.

연료전지 삼중열병합 시스템의 성능개선 R&D 효과에 대한 경제성 분석 연구 (Economic Analysis Study on the R&D Effect of Performance Improvement of the Tri-generation Fuel Cell System)

  • Considering the recent substantial increase in national research and development (R&D) budgets in the energy sector there has been increased Interest in the effectiveness of government R&D investments. We conducted a case study to calculate the allowable scale and effectiveness of R&D investment by calculating the direct performance improvement effect resulting from R&D investment as an economic value. Using conditions that existed prior to R&D investments as a reference, five cases in which performance improved due to R&D investments were compared and analyzed. The government's financial investment is increasing rapidly in line with the establishment of the national hydrogen roadmap. R&D is needed to enhance the current low technology readiness level of hydrogen fuel cells compared to solar and wind energy fields. Therefore, an R&D project to improve the performance of the fuel cell system was selected as this case study's subject. Using the results in this study, the allowable level of investment in the task unit of national R&D projects could be calculated. Moreover, it is advisable to provide a standard for rational decision making for new R&D investments since it is possible to determine investment priorities among a large number of candidates.

생산 공정 자료 기반 양산단계 전차 전장관리체계 환경 부하 선별 시험 방법 및 적용 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on Mass production stage Tank Battle Management System Environmental Stress Screening test method and application improvement based on Production process data)

  • Purpose: In this study, we apply environmental stress screening (ESS) to battle management system (BMS) of a tank and use the ESS profile based on production process data, guided by MIL-HDBK-781/344/2164. Methods: To optimize ESS Profile of the BMS of a tank, we estimate ESS model parameters (e.g., defect density, screening strength) using primary production failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS) data of military supply contract firm. Results: First, we collect the Primary production FRACAS data of military supply contract firm. Second, we compute curve fitting approach to find patent defect density and latent defect density using FRACAS data. Third, we solve the equation of Defect Density(patent defect density + latent defect density)($D_{IN}$) and Screening Strength(SS) Using second step data. As a result of analysis according to the order, we calculate $D_{IN}$(Temperature stress case : 74.02, Vibration stress : 10.252) and : SS(Temperature stress case : 0.4632, Vibration stress : 0.4142) and confirm the Condition II-D based on MIL-HDBK-344. According to Condition II-D, it is necessary to modify existing ESS profile through decreasing the $D_{IN}$ and increasing the SS. Conclusion: Identification of defect causes through ESS approach reduce defect densities for production. It provides feedback to a lessons-learned data base to avoid similar problems on next generation tank BMS.

Prediction of vibration and noise from steel/composite bridges based on receptance and statistical energy analysis

  • The noise from the elevated lines of rail transit has become a growing problem. This paper presents a new method for the rapid prediction of the structure-borne noise from steel or composite bridges, based on the receptance and Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), which is essential to the study of the generation mechanism and the design of a low-noise bridge. First, the vertical track-bridge coupled vibration equations in the frequency domain are constructed by simplifying the rail and the bridge as an infinite Timoshenko beam and a finite Euler-Bernoulli beam respectively. Second, all wheel/rail forces acting upon the track are computed by taking a moving wheel-rail roughness spectrum as the excitation to the train-track-bridge system. The displacements of rail and bridge are obtained by substituting wheel/rail forces into the track-bridge coupled vibration equations, and all spring forces on the bridge are calculated by multiplying the stiffness by the deformation of each spring. Then, the input power to the bridge in the SEA model is derived from spring forces and the bridge receptance. The vibration response of the bridge is derived from the solution to the power balance equations of the bridge, and then the structure-borne noise from the bridge is obtained. Finally, a tri-span continuous steel-concrete composite bridge is taken as a numerical example, and the theoretical calculations in terms of the vibration and noise induced by a passing train agree well with the field measurements, verifying the method. The influence of various factors on wheel/rail and spring forces is investigated to simplify the train-track-bridge interaction calculation for predicting the vibration and noise from steel or composite bridges.

Vibrio fluvialis oligopeptide permease (oppA) 유전자 deletion에 의한 생리적 특성 (Characterization of Physiological Properties in Vibrio fluvialis by the Deletion of Oligopeptide Permease (oppA) Gene)

  • 미생물이 이용할 수 있는 nitrogen source는 di-, tri-, oli- go-peptide 또는 amino acid의 형태로 세포내로 uptake되어 대사과정에 사용되고 있다. 이와같은 peptide는 특이한 transport system에 의해서 이동되고 있는데 oligo peptide(Opp) transport system에는 binding protein, permease protein, energy 생성을 위한 ATP 분해에 관여하는 protein 이 관여하고 있으며 염색체 상에서 이들 단백질들은 operon 형태의 유전자로부터 발현되고 있다. 본 연구는 gram 음성 세균이며 수해양 서식 세균인 V, fluvialis로부터 얻어진 Opp operon 유전자 가운데 oligopeptide binding protein을 coding하고 있는 oppA 유전자가 deletion된 mutant를 사용하여 여러 환경변화에 따른 생육을 wild type과 비교한 연구 결과 이다. 생육을 위한 완전배지인 brain heart infusion (BHI) 배지와 최소배지인 M9 minimal 배지를 사용한 결과 OppA protein의 생성 결핍에 따라 초기 및 대수증식기 과정 중에는 mutant의 생육이 늦어지고 있으나 Opp system이 아닌 다른 peptide전달 경로로 추정되는 system을 이용하여 대수 증식기 후반에서는 wild type과 거의 같은 생육 형태를 보여 주고 있었다. pH의 변화에 따른 생육은 pH 7에서는 생육정도가 비슷하였으나 약알칼리 부근에서는 oppA mutant의 생육이 wild type에 비하여 낮아지고 있었다. 또한 5 mM $H_2O_2$를 사용하여 $OD_{600}=1.2$농도의 세포들에 대한 영향을 검토한 결과 두 균 모두 높은 생존율을 보여 주었으며 이는 대수증식기 세포들을 사용한 결과와는 매우 다른 형태를 보여 주고 있었다. 항생제 내성에 대한 연구에서는 mutant가 streptomycin과 tetracycline 에 대해서는 wild type과는 다르게 매우 낮은 농도에서도 생육이 되고 있지 않으나 polymyxin B에 대해서는 wild type과 같이 $10{\mu}g/ml$의 농도에서도 잘 자라고 있었다.
