Traveler Guidance System based on 3D Street Modeling

  • This paper presents a traveler guidance system that offers 3D street information such as road types, signal light systems, street trees, buildings, etc. We consider 5x4 road system of Gangnam(in Seoul, Korea) as a test area and reflect the traveler's car-driving situation. A web server is constructed to serve traveler's driving path by switching 3D animation scenes automatically. To do batch processing of geometric data for the 3D graphical streets construction, we have extracted major street information from present GIS database and created new GIS file formats (SMF files), which contain data sessions for links, nodes, and facilities. With these files, we can render 3D navigation scenes. A number of vector calculations were performed for the geometrical consistence and texture-mapping method was used for the realistic scene generation. Finally, we have verified the effectiveness of the service by operating a test scenario. We have checked whether traveler's 2D path and 3D navigation are exactly reported after setting specific departure and destination. This system offers us well awareness of streets and takes useful role of traveler guidance.

The aspect of homesickness in the Yeonhaengnok : The first, the traveler express the reason that cause the homesickness. The reason that cause the homesickness is various. The second, the traveler express the emotional conflict between worry about the family and ambition of travel in Yeonhaengsanmun. The third, the traveler express the reason that cause the homesickness and yearn for his home. The traveler express the individual experience connected with the family in Yeonhaengsanmun, the universal experience connected with the family in Yeonhaenghansi. The mean of concretely expressing the inner world is that the expression is related to the realism of expressing the inner world.

  • Recently Following changes in the airport industry, this study aims to investigate the relationship between physical servicescape elements, a travelers' enjoyment and/or anxiety, and traveler satisfaction in the airport environment context. Six airport service scape factorsd design, scent, functional organization, air/lighting conditions, seating, and cleanlinessd should be considered when evaluating traveler response. airport design features and pleasant scent have a positive influence on traveler enjoyment, generating satisfaction. This study also provides valuable implications for airport design, organization and development. By combining previous research on servicescapes and airport design, this study confirms the significance of servicescape attributes in transit service settings in Inchon international airport. The results of this study may help airport industry practitioners understand the airport environment from a passenger's perspective.

한국 간이세율의 적정 인하수준 추정에 관한 연구: 여행자 휴대품 통관을 중심으로 (A Study on the Optimal Cut-off Level of Simple Tax Rate in Korea : Cases of traveler's customs clearance)

  • FTA관세협정이 확대되면서 일반 수입품은 무관세혜택을 받고 있지만, 국내 여행자의 휴대품은 원산지증명이 어렵고, FTA특혜관세 적용요건(거래당사자 요건, 원산지상품 요건, 직접운송 요건)을 충족하기 힘들기 때문에 FTA관세혜택을 보기 어렵다. 본 연구는 국내 여행자의 휴대품에 대해서 FTA관세혜택을 받을 수 있도록 휴대품에 적용되는 간이세율의 적정 인하수준을 추정해보았다. 이를 위해서 간이세율의 인하수준을 세 가지 서로 다른 방안으로 구분하여 그 가운데 여행자 후생과 세수 측면에서 효과가 가장 큰 적정 인하수준을 추정해보았다. 간이세율의 인하 방안은 첫째(1안), 관세율을 기본관세율과 실효관세율의 차이(7%)를 품목별로 인하할 경우, 둘째(2안), 관세율을 모든 품목에 실효관세율(2%)로 적용할 경우, 셋째(3안), 모든 품목에 대해 관세면제(0%)를 적용할 경우 간이세율의 수준이다. 간이세율의 적정 인하수준을 측정하기 위해서 간이 세율의 인하로 나타나는 효과를 기준으로 가중평균 점수를 매겨서 순위를 매겼다. 가중치는 현재 관세청과 세관에서 통관 실무를 맡고 있는 실무자들을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사에서 중요도에 따라 다르게 정하였다. 가중치를 고려한 간이세율의 적정 인하수준은 실효관세율 수준인 2%로 인하하는 2안이 가장 효과가 컸으며, 그로 인해 우리나라 세수감소와 여행자 조세감소효과는 168억 원, 징세비용은 3.4억 원으로서 부정적 효과는 크지 않았다.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze critical needs and demands for the multifunctional traveler's jacket and to develop design prototypes based on the findings from the analysis. A self-report questionnaire with the stimuli was applied. Total 163 travelers were purposively sampled for the survey and the data were analyzed quantitatively as well as qualitatively. The results were as follows: 1. The respondents were divided into three groups - "digital-functionality-needs group", "non-digitalfunctionality-needs group", "no-need group", according to their preference and needs for the multifunctional traveler's jacket. 2. The three groups were analyzed (1) to have meaningful differences in experiencing inconvenience in their traveling, (2) to have statistically significant differences in their needs for the multifunctional traveler's jacket, (3) while some imperative consensus in their needs were found in part. 3. Based on the findings of the analysis mentioned above, three design prototypes were developed and visualized with conclusion.

  • 본 논문은 현재 및 가까운 미래에 있을 교통정보의 제공에 관한 일반적인 가능성으로서 교통현상의 기술이 가능한 교통예측모형의 사용에 대한 총체적인 정리를 함과 함께 바람직한 모형의 제시가 주요 목적이다. 이를 위하여 우선 동적교통배정모형, 통계모형, 모의실험모형, 및 휴리스틱모형이 어떵게 교통정보제공을 위해서 사용될 수 있는지를 각 모형별 제반 특성적 측면에서 검토를 한다. 다음에 이러한 모형의 각종 요구사항이 분석되며, 더 나아가 단기간 교통 상황을 예측하기 위한 각 모형의 능력 및 장단점이 서술적인 관점에서 기술되어진다. 마지막으로, 이러한 각각의 장점을 수용할 수 있을 만한 포괄적인 예측모형의 전형이 그러한 모형을 구축함에 있어서 필요로 하는 데이터의 요구조건과 함께 제시된다.

A Case of Furuncular Myiasis Due to Cordylobia anthropophaga in a Korean Traveler Returning from Uganda

  • A fly larva was recovered from a boil-like lesion on the left leg of a 33-year-old male on 21 November 2016. He has worked in an endemic area of myiasis, Uganda, for 8 months and returned to Korea on 11 November 2016. The larva was identified as Cordylobia anthropophaga by morphological features, including the body shape, size, anterior end, posterior spiracles, and pattern of spines on the body. Subsequent 28S rRNA gene sequencing showed 99.9% similarity (916/917 bp) with the partial 28S rRNA gene of C. anthropophaga. This is the first imported case of furuncular myiasis caused by C. anthropophaga in a Korean overseas traveler.

  • Cyclospora cayetanensis is an apicomplexan protozoan and is one of the most common pathogens causing chronic diarrhea worldwide. Eight stool samples with diarrheal symptom out of 18 Korean residents who traveled to Nepal were obtained, and examined for 25 enteropathogens including 16 bacterial species, 5 viral species, and 4 protozoans in stool samples as causative agents of water-borne and food-borne disease. Only C. cayetanensis was detected by nested PCR, and 3 PCR-positive samples were sequenced to confirm species identification. However, the oocysts of C. cayetanensis in fecal samples could not be detected by direct microscopy of the stained sample. As far as we know, this is the first report of a group infection with C. cayetanensis from a traveler visiting Nepal, and the second report of a traveler's diarrhea by C. cayetanensis imported in Korea.

ARIMA 시계열 모형을 이용한 제주도 인바운드 항공여객 증가율 예측 연구 - 제주지역 골프장 내장객 현황 데이터를 활용하여 - (Estimating the Growth Rate of Inbound Air Travelers to Jeju with ARIMA Time-Series - Using Golf Course Visitor Data -)

  • This paper used the golf course visitors' data in Jeju region to forecast the growth of inbound air traveler to Jeju. This is because the golf course visitors were proven to bring the highest economic and production inducement effect to the Jeju region. Based on such a data, this paper forecast the short-term growth rate of inbound air traveler using ARIMA to the Jeju until December 2025. According to ARIMA (0,1,0) (0,1,1) model, it was analyzed that the monthly number of golf course visitors to Jeju has been increasing steadily even since COVID-19 pandemic and the number is expected to grow until the end of 2025. Applying the same parameters of ARIMA (0,1,0) (0,1,1) to inbound air travel data, it was found the growth rate of inbound air travelers would be higher than the growth rate of 2019 shortly without moderate variation even though the monthly number of inbound travelers to Jeju had been dropped during COVID-19 pandemic.

통행시간예산의 요인분석 및 추정 (Analysis and Estimation of Factors Affecting Travel Time Budget)

  • 사회 경제적 변화에 따라 통행자 패턴은 상당한 변화를 가져왔다. 통행자 패턴 중 통행시간은 통행자에게 제한된 자원에 해당한다. 통행자들은 이 제한된 자원을 자신의 활동에 적절히 투입하여 효용을 극대화 하려고 한다. 즉 통행에 대해서 지불 할 수 있는 혹은 개인의 효용극대화를 위해 선택할 수 있는 고유의 통행시간예산을 가지고 통행한다. 본 연구는"2002년 가구통행실태조사"에서 수집된 통행자 특성 변수들을 토대로 상호관련성 및 특성분류가 가능한 CART 분석방법을 이용하여 통행시간예산에 영향을 미치는 특정 요인에 대한 그룹화 및 추출화를 수행하며, 그에 따른 통행자 통행시간예산 추정 모형을 도출하고자 하였다. CART 분석 결과, 통행시간예산에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 나이, 주택규모, 주택종류, 고용형태, 직업, 세대주 관계 등으로 나타났고, 도출된 영향요인들의 특성을 고려하여 추정모형을 개발하였으며, 그 결과 나이, 주택규모, 주택종류가 전반적으로 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다, 고용형태에서 상대적으로 통행의 빈도가 낮은 재택근무가 음(-)의 값으로 나타났다. 특히, 직업의 경우 주부 무직 미취학아동과 농업 어업 수산업에 종사하는 사람이 음(-)의 값을, 행정 사무 관리직이 양(+)의 값을 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
