Rapid globalization of production and marketing functions makes choice of international transportation mode of great importance. In this paper, transportation mode is characterized by two factors, mean and variability of transportation lead time. We developed a simple mathematical model to estimate the relative impact of mean lead time, lead time variance and demand variance on the required average inventory level under specified service rates.

There has been a growing interest toward railroad conjunction with opening of high-speed rail in 2004 and concurrent implementation of nation's green growth policies. Meanwhile, users' expectation on service of public transportation, especially railroad has been growing than since ever due to heightened quality of life, entering aging society, voice of equity for minorities, and greater interest in environments of communities. In order to come up with the expectations, actual improvements for user's convenience/comfort and its assessment strategies in terms of service quality level are necessary. This study defines the index of this aspect of service level as 'Sensitivity Quality'. This is conceived as one of the important factors to define travel cost as do the travel time and fare, but hardly taken into consideration when assessing a transportation system or policy-making for a transportation project. The elements included for the assessment of the sensitivity quality in this study are feeling of a ride, conformability and convenience what users feel and recognize using a train. This paper suggests that establishing sensitivity quality elements would contribute in foundation of assessing service quality and provide improved public transportation services through their scientific and objective development and management.

본 논문은 운송 안전 서비스를 위한 IP-USN 게이트웨이 소프트웨어 스택에서의 오류 동기화에 대한 내용을 기술한다. 이 시스템은 TS_EDA, TS_ESA로 구성되어 있다. TS_EDA는 IP-USN 게이트웨이 소프트웨어 스택 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 제어를 위하여 오류를 감지하는 에이전트이다. TS_ESA는 IP-USN 게이트웨이 소프트웨어 스택 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 제어를 위하여 오류를 동기화하는 에이전트이다. 운송 안전 서비스를 위한 IP-USN 게이트웨이 소프트웨어 스택에서의 멀티미디어 공동 작업 환경의 관점에서 오류 동기화는 협동 작업에 참가하는 참가자에게 상호작용적으로 오류를 동기화한다.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about many changes in our daily lives and in industries as a whole. The most notable change was the spread of the untact culture to minimize face-to-face contact. The spread of the untact culture has changed the use of public transportation. Looking at the results of previous SARS and MERS studies, it was found that as the pandemic spreads, the use of public transportation decreased. Recently, the mobility sharing service is attracting attention as a personalized means of transportation instead of public transportation. Therefore, in this study, the factors affecting the intention to use the mobility sharing service were to be identified by the actual users. In this study, economic benefit, convenience, sustainability, and sense of belonging were set as independent variables based on previous studies. In addition, the relationship between the perceived usefulness and perceived pleasure of these factors of use on intention to use was empirically analyzed through PLS-SEM. As a result of the study, it was found that economic benefits, convenience, sustainability, and sense of belongingness had a significant effect on intention to use through perceived usefulness and enjoyment. This study was meaningful in that it was verified through the study that economic benefits, convenience, sustainability, and a sense of belongingness were significant variables affecting the intention to use through usefulness and pleasure.

The new concept of level of service for the airport system indicates that there must be strong stimulation to proceed with the current stereotyped service standards which are being criticised due to their being based on, either physical capacity/volume or temporal/spatial standards that directly incorporates the perception of passengers. Quantitative factors have been dealt with the main service measurements when evaluating level of service. However, the passenger's perception for the provision service at the airport system is definitely important consideration to assess level of service. To enhance the reliability of service level evaluation from the passenger's point of view, this study has adopted three main evaluation factors ; temporal/spatial factors as quantitative measurements and comfort and reasonable service factors as qualitative measurements. The multi-decision model was constructed using Fuzzy Set Theory and applied to a case study at Seoul Kimpo International Airport. Results are presented in terms of passenger satisfaction with a variety of different values.

Rapid increase of aging population and progressed migration from rural areas to urban areas have caused deficit of bus routes in local cities. This increasing burden of operation deficit affects the movement strategy of the transportation vulnerable who are using buses. Along with dramatically increased aging in Korea, there is an urgent need to implement a new method which can guarantee mobility rights of public transportation especially for the elderly. This study focuses on the case of Demand Responsive Transit(DRT) system that has been operating in America, Europe, Japan, etc. Kimhae(Sangdong-myeon and Saengnim-myeon) is selected as a study area. This study investigated the possibility of adopting DRT system on the perspectives of the consumer and provider by the analysis of traffic condition such as the number of transportation vehicles, present bus service and regulation and conduct of questionnaire survey which includes present bus service and DRT system and so on. In conclusion, DRT system in Kimhae city will reduce transport cost, increase affordability through the betterment of service level and secure mobility rights for the transportation vulnerable.

본 연구는 대구시 대중교통체계 개편 후 이용자 의식조사를 토대로 대중교통체계 개편 전후의 이용자 통행패턴의 변화 및 환승통행, 서비스 만족도에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 대중교통체계 개편으로 환승통행 수요가 증가하였으며, 특히 버스를 이용한 통행패턴에서 버스와 지하철간의 환승을 통한 통행패턴으로의 변화가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 환승요금 무료할인제 실시로 환승에 대한 경제적 부담감의 감소와 버스노선체계 개편으로 대중교통이용자의 통행패턴이 다양화되었기 때문이다 환승에 대해서는 전반적으로 개선된 것으로 나타났지만, 무환승 희망비율이 높게 나타난 환승에 대해서는 여전히 많은 부담을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다

본 연구는 대중교통 활성화에 초점을 맞추어 대중교통의 주축을 이루고 있는 지하철과 버스를 중심으로 연계버스 서비스 권을 설정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 연계권역설정은 지하철과 버스의 상호보완적 체계를 이루어 도시체계의 비용손실을 최소화하는데 그 목적이 있으며, 이는 지하철을 중심으로 첨두시 향도심성 대중교통이용자들이 버스로 직접 도심통행시와 인접지하철역까지 버스를 이용하여 환승으로 도심통행시의 편익을 감안한 모형과 그 해법을 제시하였으며, 권역구획은 범용 GIS Package의 IDRISI를 이용하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 남한과 북한간의 화물운송을 위한 해상운송과 항만서비스를 위한 협력적인 관리계획을 수립하고 한강하구와 서해접경지역에 해상운송과 항만개발의 번영을 신속히 실현하는 방안을 제공하는 것이다. 특히 해상평화공원을 둘러싼 환경을 보존하기 위한 노력을 개발계획에 반영하는 것이다. 본 연구의 취지는 한강하구지역의 번영은 보존을 병행한 해상운송과 항만서비스의 개발을 통해서 가능하다는 것을 보이는 것이다.

The efficiency and effectiveness of freight transportation within and across Northeast Asia playa key role to achieve competitive advantages against other competing hubs in this area. However, the majority of local freight has been carried by ground transportation and the share of costal shipping has been decreasing for its transportational complexity and poor cargo works. In this paper, we discuss the prerequisites of efficient cargo linkage system from the perspectives of road, rail, ocean, and the service providers. Specifically, we identify that the balanced capacity of road/rail transportation system with costal freight system is a crucial component for facilitating coastal shipping. Other requirements such as the efficient on-dock container yard (ODCY), dedicated ports and ships, and the service provider of door-to-door transportation for short sea shipping are highlighted in order to secure the serviceability and availability of streamlined costal shipping. Further, we elaborate these requirements to facilitate costal cargo shipping in Korea.
