The objective of the present study is to investigate the characteristics of pressure wave propagation of viscous fluid flow in a circular pipe line. The goal of this study is to select the best frequency of each control factor of a circular pipe. We intend to approach a formalized mathematical model by a very exact and reasonable polynomial for fluid transmission lines. and we computed this mathematical model by computer. The results show that the oil viscosity decreased as the length of the circular pipe increases. and The energy of pressure wave propagation decreased as the pipe diameter decreases. The factor is that density of oil was changed resonant frequency. It has been found the viscosity characteristics is changed largely by length of hydraulic pipe and volume of cavity tank.
The demand of vacuum pump has been increased in the process of semi-conduct manufacturing, as a core component. The response of the system for vacuum pump performance test can be utilized to assess the system and to obtain the reliability of the apparatus for the test. The system consists of gas supply tank, pressure chamber, measurement chamber and transmission line. Transient analysis for compressible fluid has been conducted to evaluate the dynamic characteristic of the volume terminated transmission line. Numerical approach based on the method of characteristics is used for the analysis. The response is evaluated with the important parameters for the system: i.e., length and diameter of the line, volume of the terminal tank. Using the numerical results, pumping speeds are calculated and then compared to the experimental results.
Dynamic models of line regulator valve(LRV) and ratio control valve (RCV) are obtained for an electronic controlled CVT. LRV and RCV are operated by variable force solenoid(VFS). Considering the CVT shift dynamics, oil pump's efficiency and saturation characteristics of VFS, simulations are performed and compared with test results. Simulation results are in good agreement with the experiments, which shows the validity of the dynamic models of LRV and RCV obtained. In addition, the effects of the orifice size in the exhaust port of RCV are investigated. Simulation results show that as the orifice size decreases, the residual pressure in the primary actuator increases which insures the large torque transmission capacity, meanwhile the duration time for the downshift increases.
The clutch is a subcomponent of the transmission that is designed to engage and disengage power flow between the engine and the transmission. Recently, the engine power of automobile has been continuously increased because of customer's demand for the bigger one. As the engine power is increased, the vibration transmitted to the hydraulic clutch operating system has been increased. Therefore the demand for the reduction of clutch pedal vibration during the operation of the clutch system has been increased. This paper describes the pressure pulsation reduction characteristics of the damper cylinder which is applied to the hydraulic clutch operating system. And the purpose of this study is to confirm the availability of a simulation model and investigating the test results of hydraulic clutch operating system. The test results are compared with the simulation results. Therefore it may be concluded that the simulation model and test results will be very useful f3r the design of hydraulic clutch damper cylinder.
This paper is primarily directed toward analyzing the transient response characteristics in hydraulic pipe lines. The exact solution to the transient response characteristics was obtained by using the complicated transfer function derived by Iberall. The discrepancy with the exact and approximate is small, so the approximate solution is adopted to the theoretical one. An equation was derived which describes the pressure times relationship Hat occurs at the end of volume terminated transmission line following a sudden pressure change at its inputs. As a result, It is found that the density has relationship about the Wave Propagation is very useful in analyzing the transient response characteristics of hydraulic pipe lines. The velocity of Pressure wave Propagation decreases as the density of fluid increased.
In RF plasma processing, when the plasma is generated, there is the difference of impedance between RF generator and plasma source. Its difference is normally reduced by using the matcher and the RF power is transferred efficiently from the power generator to the plasma source. The generated plasma has source impedance that it can be changed during processing by pressure, frequency, density and so on. If the range of source impedance excesses the matching range of the matcher, it cannot match all value of the impedance. In this research, we studied the elevation mechanism of the RF power delivery efficiency between RF generator to the plasma source by using the transmission line and impedance tuning of the plasma source. We focus on two plasma sources (capacitive coupled plasma (CCP), inductive coupled plasma (ICP)) which is most widely used in industry recently.
The large increase in the use of electricity has resulted in an ever-growing electric power demand. It has created the need for the construction of power transmission facility located close to the load centers and it also has to require wide right-of-way and large lots, that are not always available, for especially the installation of the towers. The difficulties in acquiring right-of-way have put pressure on energy companies to either upgrade a line on an existing right-of-way to higher voltage or build a new line on a narrow right-of-way. This paper presents the design of a compact tower with polymer Insulation arm, in order to reduce the separation between phases. the compact tower can be built on a narrow right-of-way. the compact tower can be designed based on 345 kV Tower regarding electrical clearances and right of way, therefore the conventional 154 kV Tower can be upgrading transmission line voltages have moved to 345 kV levels.
Design for a quiet operation of fluid power system requires the understanding of noise and vibration characteristics of the system. It's not easy to analyze noise problem in hydraulic cylinder used in typical actuator Because they've got complex fluid dynamics. One of the fundamental problems associated with the hydraulic system is the pulsating flow in pipe lines, which can be tackled by the analysis under simplifying assumptions. The present study focuses on theoretic analysis and experimental study on the dynamics of laminar pulsating flow in a circular pipe. We analyze the propagation characteristics of the pressure pulse within a hydraulic pipe line taking into account the pulsating flow frequency variation. We also measure instantaneous pressure pulses within pipe line to identify the transfer functions. We conduct series of experiments to investigate the propagation characteristics of pressure pulse for various pressure of pulsating flow. The working fluid of the present study is ISO VG46 and the temperature ranges from 20 to $60^{\circ}$ with normal pressure at 4000kPa. The flow rate is measured by using an ultrasonic flow meter. Pressures at fixed upstream and downstream positions are measured concurrently. The electric signals of the pressure sensor are stored and analyzed using a system analyzer(PKE 983 series). The frequency is varied in the range of 10~500Hz. The Reynolds number is kept below 2,000. In the present study, boundary condition was varied by installing a surge tank and an orifice at the end of pipe. Experimental and theoretical results were compared each other under various boundary conditions.
Many studies have been investigated on high density plasma source (Electron Cyclotron Resonance, Inductively Coupled Plasma, Helicon plasma) for large area source after It is announced that productivity of plasma process depends on plasma density. In this presentation, we will propose the new concept of the multiple source, which consists of a parallel connection of ICP sources and helicon plasma sources. For plasma uniformity, equivalent power (especially, equivalent current in ICP & Helicon) should distribute on each source. We design power feeding line as coaxial transmission line with same length of ground line in each source for equivalent power distribution. And we confirm the equivalent power distribution with simulation and experimental result. Based on basic study, we develop the plasma source for oxidation in semiconductor process. we will discuss the relationship between the processing parameters (With or WithOut magnet, operating pressure, input power ). In ICP, plasma density uniformity is uniform. In ICP with magnet (or Helicon) plasma density is not uniform. As a result, new design (magnet arrangement and gas distributor and etc..) are needed for uniform plasma density in ICP with magnet and Helicon.
For the resistance spot welds of CR1180 and GA1180 TRIP steels, the weld quality evaluation method using the digitalized X-ray transmission imaging apparatus was investigated in comparison with the crosssectional examination method. In the case of the resistance spot welding of CR1180, three circular regions, such as WZ(white zone), GZ(grey zone) and DZ(dark zone), appeared on X-ray image and they corresponded to the diameters of indentation mark, nugget and corona bond, respectively. The variation of X-ray transmission thickness due to the thickness variation of the weld seemed to be mainly responsible for the formation of those contrasts. The X-ray image contrast formed from the variation of transmission thickness at the outer border line of DZ could also enable the inspections of the notch shape, nonuniformity of the welding pressure and spatter from its sharpness, concentricity and the normal straight line, respectively. The X-ray image of the resistance spot weld of galvannealed GA1180 TRIP steel was very similar to that of CR1180 TRIP steel except the crown shaped outer border line of DZ which was considered to be due to the melting behavior of zinc having the boiling temperature even lower than the melting temperature of steel.
