DEVELOPMENT OF A VIBRATION MODEL OF A HELICAL GEAR PAIR FOR VEHICLE TRANSMISSION

  • A vibration model of a helical gear pair for vehicle transmission is developed by considering the elastic deformation of the active teeth and the body to be a rigid. The main source of vibration in a helical gear system which caused by the mass unbalances of rotors and the transmission errors of gearings in mathematically formulated and applied to the analysis of vibration characteristics of geared systems. As an example, a simple geared system containing a helical gearing is considered. The critical speeds are found by the Campbell diagram and compared with the experimental results We expect this developed program to contribute to the reduction of the vibration and noise on vehicle a transmission in the field of both design and manufacturing. In addition, this program can be used as a basic program for CAD/CAM of low-noised gear teeth.

트럭 최종감속기 평기어의 치형최적화에 관한 연구 (Tooth Modification for Spur Gear for Articulated Hauler's Final Drive)

  • Construction equipment is heavily loaded during normal operation. In recent years, there is a trend that lower gear noise levels are demanded for drivers to avoid annoyance and fatigue during operation. For articulated hauler's final drive, meshing transmission error(T.E.) is the excitation that leads the tonal noise known as gear whine, and radiated gear whine is also the dominant source of noise in the whole gearbox. This paper presents a method for the analysis of the tooth profile modification, and the prediction of transmission error under the loaded torques for the spur gear pair of the articulated hauler's final drive. And the transmission error, transmission error harmonics and contact stress are also calculated and compared before and after tooth modification under one torque. The simulation result shows that the transmission error and contact stress under the loads can be minimized by the appropriate tooth profile modification.

In-situ 소음투과손실 측정 및 검증을 위한 기법 개발 (New Method for Measurement and Validation of In-situ Sound Transmission Loss)

  • The sound transmission loss is a key index to evaluate the acoustic performance of a car-body structure at the high frequency range. From this paper, a new validation method for in-situ sound transmission loss is proposed. First, in-situ sound transmission loss is measured by using PU intensity probe on the condition of complete vehicle. Second, validation test, which is consisted of internal, external and total frequency response function test, is performed by using volume acceleration source and microphones. Then, these test results are compared to validate the accuracy of in-situ sound transmission loss. Finally, the test result of in-site method is compared with results of two reverberant room test method and SEA analytical method. The reliability of in-situ method is confirmed by these procedures.

  • In this paper, we propose a Cooperative Transmission Strategy using Entropy-based Relay Selection in Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Sensor Networks(MAWSN) with Rayleigh Fading Environments. The main features and contributions of the proposed cooperative transmission strategy are as follows. First, entropy-based relay selection is used to improve data transmission reliability from a source node to a destination node. Second, we present a theoretical analysis model for the proposed cooperative transmission strategy with the outage probability of the end-to-end performance. The performance of our protocol is evaluated using analysis and simulation.

  • 협력 네트워크는 송신기로부터 수신기로 신호를 전송할 때 여러 중계기를 이용하여 신호를 전송하고 수신기에서 이 신호를 결합하여 복조함으로써 통신성능 향상과 데이터 전송률을 높이는 장점을 제공한다. 일반적으로 송신기에서 수신기로 신호를 전송할 때 중계기가 송신기로부터 수신된 신호를 증폭/재변조 후 수신기로 보내는 반복적인 신호 전송형태가 널리 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 두 가지 신호전송 방식을 혼합하여 신호를 전송하는 협력 네트워크에서의 성능을 분석한다. 즉, 송신기와 중계기사이에서는 일반 변조방식을 사용하고, 중계기와 수신기 사이에서는 공간 시간 코드 방식을 적용한다. 변조방식은 시스템의 복잡도를 줄이기 위해 채널상태정보를 이용하지 않는 차등변조 방식을 이용한다. 다양한 개수의 중계기가 있을 경우에 대한 성능을 비트오류율을 이용하여 분석하며, 송신기와 중계기 및 중계기와 수신기 사이에서 서로 다른 세기로 신호를 보낼 때의 성능을 비교한다. 또한 다양한 신호세기 및 중계기의 개수를 동시에 고려한 성능에 대해서도 논의한다.

이동통신 시스템을 위한 소스코더와 결합된 채널코딩방법에 의한 영상전송 (Image Transmission Using Designed Source-Channel Combined Coder for Mobile Communication Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 광대역 코드분할 다중접속방식(W-CDMA : Wideband-Code Division Multiple Access)을 이용하는 전력제어된 이동통신 시스템에서 영상전송을 위한 채널모형을 설계하고, 영상 소스 데이터와 결합된 채널 부호화에 대한 설계를 하고 전송성능을 검증하고자 한다. 웨이브릿 변환 알고리즘을 이용하여 각 대역별 중요도에 따라 차등적인 크기의 블록 단위로 세분화하여 독립적으로 부호화 하였고, 영상정보의 전송에러에 대한 감응도를 고려하여 RS(Reed-Solomon)부호화시에 각각의 신호대역에 따라 분리된 RS 부호화율을 적용하여 W-CDMA 페이딩 채널 에러에 대하여 동일한 데이터율로서 더 나은 PSNR 이득을 얻도록 하였다. 또한 Truncated Hybrid Type I ARQ 방식에 의한 재전송과정에서 재전송 프레임간 Combine하여 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 차세대 영상전송 시스템으로서 기존의 독립적인 영상-채널 부호화방식에 비해 무선채녈의 열화에서도 성능의 감소가 크지 않아 효과적인 영상전송 방법임을 알 수 있었다.

A Distributed LT Codes-based Data Transmission Technique for Multicast Services in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks

  • In this paper, we consider an infrastructure-vehicle-vehicle (I2V2V) based Vehicle Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), where one base station multicasts data to d vehicular users with the assistance of r vehicular users. A Distributed Luby Transform (DLT) codes based transmission scheme is proposed over lossy VANETs to reduce transmission latency. Furthermore, focusing on the degree distribution of DLT codes, a Modified Deconvolved Soliton Distribution (MDSD) is designed to further reduce the transmission latency and improve the transmission reliability. We investigate the network behavior of the transmission scheme with MDSD, called MDLT based scheme. Closed-form expressions of the transmission latency of the proposed schemes are derived. Performance simulation results show that DLT based scheme can reduce transmission latency significantly compared with traditional Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) and Luby Transform (LT) codes based schemes. In contrast to DLT based scheme, the MDLT based scheme can further reduce transmission latency and improve FER performance substantially, when both the source-to-relay and relay-to-sink channels are erasure channels.

  • It is diffuse sound field that measuring condition of absorption ratio and sound transmission loss for material consist of building are measured in reverberartion room and on-site. In this study, for upkeeping diffuse sound field in reverberation room, it is measured and etimated that sound field is effected according to sound source lacation and characteristics of emission directivity for sound source.

해면 산란효과에 의한 선박 방사소음 추정치 오차 (Error Characteristics of Ship Radiated Noise Estimation by Sea Surface Scattering Effect)

  • The ship radiated noise level fluctuates by the interference between direct and reflected paths. The effect of sea surface reflection path on interference depends strongly on sea surface roughness. This paper describes error characteristics of ship acoustic signature estimation by sea surface scattering effect. The coherent reflection coefficient which explains a magnitude of sea surface scattering and its resultant interference acoustic field is analyzed quantitatively as a function of a grazing angle, effective surface height, frequency, source-receiver range and depths of source and receiver. Theoretical interference acoustic field is compared with experimental result for two different sea surfaces and five different frequencies by changing source-receiver range. It is found that both matches well each other and a magnitude of interference acoustic field is decreasing by increasing a grazing angle, effective surface height, frequency, and depths of source and receiver and decreasing source-receiver range. For given experimental conditions, the transmission anomaly which is a bias error of ship acoustic signature estimation, is about a range of 1~3 dB. The bias error of an existing ship radiated noise measurement system is also analyzed considering wind speed, source depth and frequency.

타이밍 체인 시스템의 초기 장력이 전달 오차에 미치는 영향 (Transmission Error Influences by Initial Tension of Timing Chain System)

  • The timing chain system, which is a typical power transmission technology applied to a vehicle, has been widely used by the automotive industry because it is normally designed to last a car's lifetime. However, the timing chain system may cause some problems due to the shape of the chains and the polygonal behavior on contact between the chain and the sprocket. In addition, noise and vibration caused by transmission error are the most typical problems encountered by major automotive manufacturers and they are considered as the main source of customer complaint. The initial tension of the chain-sprocket system is thought to be the main cause of transmission error, and it is regarded as the source of engine vibration and noise. The initial tension of the chain system should be controlled carefully since a low initial tension can cause twisting, which may lead to a system malfunction, while a high initial tension can reduce the service life due to a worn down contact surface. In this paper, the kinematic analysis model is generated with various initial tensions, which are controlled by changing the shape of the fixed guide with the largest contact surface with chain. The results showed that the transmission error was minimized on a particular range of initial tension, and the tendency showed that the error changed with a higher sensitivity at a lower initial tension.
