연비 평가를 위한 6속 DCT기반 HEV 성능 시뮬레이터의 개발 (Development of Performance Simulator for 6-speed DCT-based Hybrid Electric Vehicle to Evaluate the Fuel Economy)

  • With aggravation of environmental contamination and energy resource exhaustion, Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) that can be economically operated with low fuel consumption are receiving greater attention. For performance improvement of such HEV, the development of efficient transmission can be seen as one of core technologies such as performance of components and driving strategy. Dual clutch transmission (DCT) is actively studied as a transmission type for HEV due to its advantages of having excellent power transmission efficiency based on manual transmission characteristic, resolving the problem of power interruption, and realizing driving convenience of automatic transmission (AT). In this paper, one diesel HEV equipped with 6-Speed DCT, modelled using MATLAB/Simulink, and a performance simulator developed for this vehicle are introduced. Driving simulation with driving cycles such as FTP75 and NYCC was performed using the developed performance simulator, and the simulated results regarding state of charge and fuel economy, when AT and DCT are applied to this diesel hybrid vehicle respectively, are compared. This performance simulator can be utilized to develop a control algorithm for improving the fuel economy of HEV with DCT.

  • In this study, we design and implement the 20kVA TCSC(Thyrister Controlled Series Compensator) simulator It was tested on the KERI simulator The KERI simulator is a analog simulator for power system at the KERI power system division lab. It consist of many power system components, which are a 380V 5kVA generators, scale-downed transmission line modules, transformers, switches, FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission System) devices. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of 20kVA TCSC simulator and its basic test results.

A Simulator for Calculating Normal Induced Voltage on Communication Line

  • The current flowing through the overhead transmission lines causes induced voltage on the communication lines, which can be prevented by calculating the induced voltage at the planning stage for overhead transmission line installment through an agreement between the communication and electric power companies. The procedures to calculate the induced voltages, however, are complicated due to the variety of parameters and tower types of the overhead transmission lines. The difficulty necessitates the development of a simulator to measure the induced voltage on the communication lines. This paper presents two simulators developed for this purpose; one using the Data Base (DB) index method and the other using the Graphic User Interface (GUI) method. The simulators described in this paper have been implemented by the EMTP (Electromagnetic Transient Program).

  • This paper presents shift characteristics of a dual clutch transmission(DCT). To obtain the shift force, dynamic models of the DCT are constructed by using MATLAB/Simulink and considering the rotational inertia of every component and the target pre-select time. Dynamic models of the shift and clutch actuators are derived based on the experimental results of the dynamic characteristics test. Based on the dynamic model of the DCT synchronizer, control actuator and vehicle model, a DCT vehicle performance simulator is developed. Using the simulator, the shift force and speed of the relevant shafts are obtained. In addition, the torque and acceleration of actuators are calculated during the shift process by considering the engaging and disengaging dynamics of the two clutches. It is observed from the performance simulator that uninterrupted torque can be transmitted by proper control of the two clutches.

  • This paper presents a Train Communication Network simulator (TCNS) that can be used to evaluate the performance of TCN. TCN was accepted as the standard of the protocol for the communication network in trains. We carry out some simulation tests using the TCNS to show practical uses of the simulator. Results of some simulation tests are also reported. This paper presents a Train Communication Network simulator(TCNS) that can be used to evaluate the performance of TCN. TCN was accepted as the standard of the protocol for the communication network in trains. TCN of fieldbus was adopted as international standardization IEC 61375 in 1999. It has been operating on G7 train in korea. This paper developed TCNS(Train Communication Network simulator) as a simulator for performance evaluation. We can verify TCNS for preventing many kinds of occurring problems between the devices in data-communication. This study was developed TCNS as a simulator for the performance evaluation. We analyzed correlation between token, transmission data per paket and transmission speed of bus, through the TCNS, also analyzed result according to error rate of TCN. We carry out some simulation tests using the TCNS to show practical uses of the simulator. Results of some simulation tests are also reported.

Performance Evaluation of Coordinated Multi-Point Transmission and Reception in Indoor Mobile Communication Systems

  • Recently, mobile communication systems are suffering from exponentially increasing data traffic. As a promising solution to the increase in data traffic, a coordinated multi-point transmission and reception (CoMP) scheme has been proposed. Although a great deal of research has been done on this new technology, the performance of mobile communication systems with CoMP has not been evaluated properly in a typical indoor environment. To address this, we have developed a system-level simulator and evaluated the performance of mobile communication systems with CoMP. Unlike previous works, we have used an actual antenna pattern in our simulator and link-level results are properly taken into account through link-level abstraction. By using a system-level simulator, we have evaluated the performance of mobile communication systems with CoMP in an indoor environment and found that unlike an outdoor cellular environment, CoMP may not improve the performance of overall mobile communication systems in an indoor environment.

실시간 계통시뮬레이터를 이용한 송전계통 자동재폐로 교육 및 훈련 시스템 개발 (Development of Education and Training System for the Auto-Reclosing of Power Transmission System Using a Real Time Digital Simulator)

  • This paper summarizes an education and training system for the auto-reclosing of power transmission system using a real time digital simulator. The system is developed to understand the principle of reclosing and the sequence of automatic reclosing schemes, and practice the effects of reclosing actions to power system in real-time simulator. This study is concentrated into the following two parts. One is the development of real time education and training system of automatic reclosing schemes. For this, we use the RTDS(real time digital simulator) and the actual digital protective relay. The mathematical relay model of RTDS and the actual distance relay which is equipped automatic reclosing function are also used. The other is the user friendly interface between trainee and trainer. The various interface displays are used for user handing and result display. The conditions of automatic reclosing which is a number of reclosing, reclosing dead time, reset time, and so on, can be changed by the user interface panel. A number of scenario cases are reserved for the education and training. Through the test, we verified that the proposed system can be effectively used to accomplish the education and training of automatic reclosing.

  • 본 논문에서는 아날로그형 전력 계통 시뮬레이터에 적용하고자 개발 중인 TCSC(Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor) 시뮬레이터 시스템 제어기의 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 구성에 대하여 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 개발하고자하는 TCSC 시스템의 제어기는 기존의 전력 계통 시뮬레이터의 여러 제어기들과 통합되어 전력 시스템의 특성을 제어하는 장치이기 때문에 제어기는 전력 시스템의 각종 주요 파라메터를 실시간으로 통신할 수 있어야 하며 주어진 시간 내에 제어 기능을 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서, 이러한 요구 조건을 만족시키기 위해서는 제어기 하드웨어의 설계와 구성이 매우 중요하다 본 논문에서는 TCSC 시스템의 복합적인 기능 수행을 위한 제어기 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 구조에 대하여 제시하고자 한다. TSCS 제어기는 고속 부동 소수 연산이 가능한 DSP(Digital Signal Processor) 플랫폼과 실시간 RTOS(Real Time Operating System)로 구성되어 있다.

EMTP 기반 지중송전케이블 시뮬레이터 개발 및 적용 (Development and Applicatin of EMTP Based Power Cable Simulator for Underground Transmission Cables)

  • This paper discusses the characteristics of sheath circulating current as well as the development and application of new software for underground power cable systems. Generally, in steady state, high sheath circulating current causes the increase of sheath temperature and thermal resistance which leads to the steeply reduction of the power capacity. Therefore, the exact calculation of sheath circulating current is required for analysis about the influence of high sheath current on permissible current. In this paper, Power Cable Simulator is developed for calculation of the sheath current. It can analyse the sheath current by real time. It is also easier to use than conventional software, such as EMTP and CabSim, because all the data for calculating the cable parameters are stored in a database(DB) within Power Cable Simulator. In addition, the accuracy of Power Cable Simulator is also proved through the comparison among the current calculated by Power Cable Simulator, EMTP and Cabsim with measured current.
