Evaluation of the Performance of Re-entry System for the Typical Uncertainties

  • The uncertainties of an atmospheric re-entry flight with respect to stability and controllability are aerodynamic error, measurement error of the angle of attack, variation of dynamic pressure, wind, and trim position of the control surfaces, etc. During hypersonic flight, a future angle of attack is biased from a nominal schedule. In order words, because the angle of attack is estimated from the navigation data, estimation error occurs due to wind, atmospheric density variation, etc. Error models used in this study, include a standard deviation of +-3 sigma, and are the normal distribution of statistics. This paper shows the appraisement of tracking performance onto the reference trajectory, satisfaction of the initial condition of TAEM about the re-entry system.

Real time trajectory control for two wheeled mobile robot under dynamic environments

  • In this paper, a method of generating trajectories in real time for a mobile robot in a dynamic environment is proposed. Specifically, this method is focused on soccer-playing robots that need to calculate trajectories in real time, which are constantly subject to rapidly change as targets and obstacles move. The robots also should move at the fastest available speed, while tracking the generated trajectories. The method proposed in this paper solves the geometric problem of finding a smooth curve that joins two endpoints. To have this solved, we assign five constraints to each endpoint, which are the usual x, y, theta, and curvature as well as the influence of the initial robot velocity on the path.   • This paper proposes a Taylor-series design method which reduces the height error of the tag when readers are arranged at the same height in 3-dimensional space. The proposed method consists of two steps. Firstly, the planar position is estimated by the Taylor-series method using the TDOA measurement. Next, the height is estimated from the estimated planar position. In order to show the validity of the proposed method, computer simulations were performed for the static case and linear trajectory of the tag. Results show that the proposed method gives convergent estimated position and better height estimate than the Taylor series method.

  • The implementation of modern guidance law derived from optimal control theory requires accurate current states of target, for example, position, velocity and acceleration etc. But there is no sensors that measure the target states directly. So they are estimated from measurable data. For atmospheric missile engagement, direct application of the modern guidance laws may result In deterioration of Intercept performance because of poor observability associated with angles only-measurements by passive seeker and homing geometry. In this paper, a trajectory modulation method called "adaptive Intermittent maneuvers" is added to the modern guidance law, so the observability is enhanced and, consequently, improved the intercept performance. The estimation algorithm called "modified gain pseudo-measurement filter" is used for tracking filter. It is assumed that the passive seeker measure the angles between line of sight and Inertial frame. The Monte-Carlo simulation for realistic air-to-air Intercept scenario are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of intermittent maneuvers.ermittent maneuvers.

  • A formation flight guidance logic that enables the leader-follower station keeping between two UAVs is presented in this paper. The logic is motivated by the investigation of the relation between the proportional navigation and the nonlinear trajectory tracking guidance law, The simplicity of the presented method provides computational efficiency and allows easy implementation. An excellent performance of the proposed logic is demonstrated via various numerical simulations for multiple UAVs environment.

  • This work proposes a new method for describing the hysteresis non-linearity of a piezoelectric actuator. The hysteresis behaviour of piezoelectric actuators, including the minor loop trajectory, are modeled by geometrical relationship between a reference major loop and its minor loops. This hysteresis model is transformed into inverse hysteresis model in order to output compensated voltage with regard to the given input displacement. A feedforward neural network, which is trained by a feedback PID control module, is incorporated to the inverse hysteresis model to compensate unknown dynamics of the piezoelectric system. To show the feasibility of the proposed feedforward-feedback controller, some experiments have been carried out and the tracking performance was compared to that of simple PTD controller.

  • 본 논문은 2자유도 평행링크 로봇의 고속궤적 추적시 링크간의 간섭을 최소화하고 시스템의 불확실성에도 불구하고 설계사양을 만족하는 제어기 설계방법을 소개한다. 이를 위해 ICD기법으로 평행링크 로봇의 채널을 분리하고 QFT를 이용해서 각 채널의 제어기를 설계한다. 마지막으로 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 QFT 제어기의 강인성과 우수성을 확인한다.

  • This paper presents a now approach to the design of intelligent contorl system for track vehicle system using fuzzy logic based on neural network. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the neural network-fuzzy, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy-neural network controller in the framework of the specialized learning architecture. Moreover, We develop a Windows 95 version dynamic simulator which can simulate a track vehicle model in 3D graphics space. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based of independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simply the neural networks-fuzzy. The dynamic simulator for track vehicle is developed by Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics. The performance of the proposed controller is illustrated by simulation for trajectory tracking of track vehicle speed.

등가감속 프로파일을 이용한 EOTS 위치제어 (EOTS Position Control Using Constant Acceleration and Deceleration Profile)

  • Electro Otical Tracking System(EOTS) is required for a rapid movement as well as the stabilization of Line-Of-Sight(LOS). In order to achieve these two goals, this paper presents a position and velocity driving profile generation method from the constant acceleration and deceleration profile according to the current state, enabling a fast and smooth trajectory even if the target position changes during the movement of LOS. Simulation and experimental results reveal that the settling time could be reduced significantly by adopting the present position control scheme.

  • Development of an automatic TIG welding system incorporating a vision sensor and torch control mechanism leads to an improved welding quality and greater production efficiency. The automatic welding system should be greatly restricted in its size and weight for the LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) storage tank and also provide a unique torch rotating mechanism which keeps the torch tip in the constant position while the angle is changed continuously to maintain the welding torch substantially perpendicular to the weld line. The developed system is driven by two translation axes X, Z and one rotational axis. A moving line window method is adopted to the image recognition of the corrugated membranes with specular reflection. This method decides original laser stripe patterns in image which is affected by multi-reflection. A self-teaching algorithm, which guides the automatic welding machine with the information provided by the CCD camera without any previous learning of a reference trajectory, was developed for tracking the corrugated membrane of the LNG tank along the weld line.
