In this study, the fire patterns, heat emissions, and smoke generated by means of fire tests developed for representative combustibles in residential facilities were analyzed from among seven fire types. These combustibles were selected in a previous study to simulate real-world situations and professionalism required while dealing with these types of fires and develop the field commander training content. Consequently, the maximum heat dissipation was recorded as 728.6 kW, followed by the dissipation measured from the combination of a mattress and electric blanket, desk and chair, and TV and mattress. The total heat emission of sofas (226.2 MJ) and the combination of mattress and electric blanket (2,259.5 ㎡) was recorded. In this study, the scope of the tests was limited to the fire characteristics and characteristics of the combustibles, and it is expected that a simulation using various data acquisition methods and FDS would be performed and evaluated at a later stage.

In this study, we examined elementary school teachers' needs for environmental education (EE) in order to effectively implement EE in the elementary school. The participants were 113 elementary school teachers in Chungcheongnam-Do. Twenty items were adapted from the Environmental Education Needs test, and the teachers were asked to respond to each item on a 5-point Likert scale. For the items of the subcategory of EE training, teachers' preferences between the on-site and the online training were also asked. Although the teachers showed relatively strong needs for most items of both the subcategories of EE service and EE training, they exhibited stronger needs for the items related to the services and/or the content of training readily applicable to EE classes. Teachers preferred the online training to the on-site training in most items whereas their preferences to the on-site training tended to be relatively high in the items such as the use of local nonformal EE site, the development and the use of outdoor EE site, and the EE teaching strategies. Educational implications for the effective EE are discussed.

This research defined professionality of science teacher from the perspective of PCK. An teaching strategy in the in-service teacher training for the gifted education was proposed based on the definition and implemented at an in-service teacher training program for the gifted education in order to explore about the teaching strategy and suggest practical implications that could improve the program. The in-service teacher training teaching strategy proposed in this research consists of three components: 'crafting activity materials', 'conducting inquiry-based experiment', 'developing rubric for identification of giftedness'. The survey carried out for the participants of the teacher training program showed that teachers perceived the importance of the need for the rubric for gifted identification, developing activity materials for the gifted education in science, and developing the rubric of gifted identification as properties for in-service teacher training programs fur the gifted education. However, the insufficiency of time and opportunities for being fully engaged in such a program made teachers feel lack of self-confidence in developing activity materials for the gifted education in science and rubric for gifted identification. Therefore, teacher training programs reflecting real features of the gifted education should be constantly developed and provided to enhance the effectiveness of in-service teacher training programs.

According to a recent survey, most elementary and secondary school students nationwide are stressed out by their academic records. Furthermore most of high school students in Korea have to study under the great duress. Some of them who can't overcome the academic stress finalize their life by suiciding. A study has found that it is one of the leading causes of stimulating the thought of committing suicide in Korean high school students. So it is necessary to reduce the high school student's suicide rate. Main content of this research is to implement a personalized music recommendation system. Music therapy can help the student deal with the stress, anxiety and depression problems. Proposed system works as a therapist. The music choice and duration of the music is adjusted based on the student's current emotion recognized automatically from EEG. If the happy emotion is not induced by the current music, the system would automatically switch to another one until he or she feel happy. Proposed system is personalized brain music treatment that is making a brain training application running on smart phone or pad. That overcomes the critical problems of time and space constraints of existing brain training program. By using this brain training program, student can manage the stress easily without the help of expert.

An experimental rearing of tropical tasar silkworm, Antheraea mylitta Drury was conducted to study silkworm-food plant-interaction and thereby to search for an alternate silkworm food plant. The silkworm-food-plant-interaction was studied with six different food plant species viz. Terminalia tomentosa, Terminalia arjuna, Terminalia belerica, Terminalia chebula of Combretaceae family and Lagerstroemia speciosa, Lagerstroemia parviflora of Lythraceae family. The rearing performance of silkworm on Lagerstroemia speciosa in terms of cocoons per DFL and silk ratio was found comparable with Terminalia tomentosa and Termonalia arjuna, the primary tasar silkworm food plant species. These three plant species also possessed better results in terms of physiological (leaf moisture content and net photosynthesis rate) and biochemical (Chlorophyll, protein, carbohydrate and crude fibre contents) characteristics to support silkworm rearing than Terminalia belerica, Terminalia chebula and Lagerstroemia parviflora. The correlation study between silkworm rearing performance and food plant's constituents indicates commercial perspective of Lagerstroemia speciosa as an alternate food plant for tasar silkworm rearing.

This study is to develop the curriculum model for the librarian training courses of disability services in the LIS curriculum. For this purpose, curriculums for the librarian disability service training courses in domestic and foreign were researched and analysed. The finally developed curriculum for the librarian training courses of disability service suggests a comprehensive necessarily share the curriculum content to be included in training courses for professional librarian library services to disability continued specialized courses and disability specialized courses.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the experiences of Team-Spirit training in new nurses. Method: Data was collected through open-ended and self-reported questionnaires which were received from 47 new nurses who had finished team-spirit training for 2 days. The content analysis method was used to derive the core-category, categories and concepts of Team-Spirit training for new nurses. Result: The care category identified in new nurses trained in Team-Spirit was upgrade myself and our team. The following 4 categories also emerged; companion, interdependency, importance of community, and future growth of myself and our community. The derived 12 subcategories were intimacy, importance of companions, binding, partaking in difficulties, empowerment, observing rules, cooperation, consensus, self-pledge as a subordinator, motivating vision formation, developing professionalism, contribution and devotion. The 34 concepts were derived from the new nurses' statements. Conclusion: These results imply that Team-Spirit Training for nurses could contribute to companionship, interdependency, importance of community, and future growth of oneself and the hospital team.

The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the job characteristics and competencies of a head-cook in contracted foodservice management company, identify the knowledge, abilities, skills and other characteristics (KASO) required to perform the duties of a head-cook, and provide training content and develop training program for job of head-cook in contract foodservice management company (CFMC). A survey instrument including identified KASO was used in the study. The questionnaire was delivered by using e-mail to 165 head-cooks employed by CFMC. The factor analysis resulted in a three-factor structure of the instrument such as 'basic foodservice operation duties' 'personal characteristics' 'managing of expanded duties-menu, customer and business'. This result suggested the education and training program for head-cook in CFMC should be composed of 'basic foodservice operation duties' on 'bulk preparation', 'procurement, inventory management', 'facility and equipment management', and 'sanitation and safety management', 'personal characteristics' on 'personality management' and 'moral duties', and 'managing of expanded duties-menu, customer and business' on 'menu management', 'customer service management', 'cost management', and 'administrative ability'. Therefore, it will be expected that the management of human resources in the contract foodservice industry would be developed by the application of recommended education and training program.

In this paper, we will discuss planning and production of VR contents for effective racing drone steering training. In the real world, direct racing drone training training is obviously a space and economic limit. We propose through the production of VR-based drone infiltration action game as a solution to these limitations and try to improve effective drone handling ability. Especially, we designed the virtual reality contents in a similar environment by using the similarity of FPV goggles and HMD based VR, and designed virtual drones, maps and obstacles considering the characteristics of the structures used in racing drone and drone racing. Also, we tried to increase the user's immersion and presence by increasing difficulty level of obstacles.

This study was conducted with the budgetary support of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Department of Education as curriculum preparation (frequently revised since 2007) for the enhancement of teacher professionalism in Clothing, Food, and Housing Life education. This study promotes changes in student learning through the enrichment of Home Economics content and the classroom-learning environment through the reinforcement of teacher professionalism and attitudes towards Clothing, Food, and Housing Life education. This study enhances the comprehension of Home Economics and understanding by educators on the importance of Home Economics. The training program was evaluated through an analysis of the motive of application, level of satisfaction with the program, change in the view of Clothing Life education, and level of expectation and contributions of the program towards the curriculum development of teaching. The trainees were motivated by the opportunity to practice, uniqueness of the curriculum of the training program, and expectations for professional enhancement. The level of satisfaction is very high. Regardless of subjects, trainees recognized the necessity of practical exercise, cultural & artistic approach, and integrated teacher training in Clothing Life education. The teachers of other subjects recognized the importance of Home Economics and the historical background of Clothing, Food, and Housing Life.
