계획된 행동 이론을 적용한 화재안전교육이 요양보호사 교육생들의 화재안전행동에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Fire Safety Education Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior on the Fire Safety Behavior of Care Worker Trainees)

  • 본 연구는 요양보호사 교육생들을 대상으로 화재안전교육의 효과를 규명하기 위한 유사실험연구로 비동등성 대조군 전후시차설계(Non-equivalent control group no-synchronized design)이다. 연구대상자는 S요양보호사 교육원의 교육생으로 실험군 28명, 대조군 29명으로 총 57명 이었다. 실험처치기간은 2018년 5월 21일부터 6월 14일까지 주 1회씩 총 4회로 구성하여 화재안전교육을 실시하였다. 자료분석은 ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test로 분석하였다. 연구결과 화재안전교육은 요양보호사 교육생들의 화재안전에 대한 지식, 화재안전에 대한 태도, 화재안전에 대한 지각된 행동통제, 화재안전 행동의도, 화재안전 행동을 증진시키는데 효과적인 교육으로 일상생활에서 화재안전행동실천에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대된다. 반면 화재안전에 대한 주관적 규범은 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타나 화재안전에 대한 주관적 규범의 효과를 검증하는 후속연구를 제언한다.

Resident Participation in International Surgical Missions is Predictive of Future Volunteerism in Practice

  • Background Interest in global health and international mission trips among medical student and resident trainees is growing rapidly. How these electives and international mission experiences affect future practice is still being elucidated. No study has identified if participation in international surgical missions during residency is a predictor of participation in international surgical missions in practice after training completion. Methods All trainees of our plastic surgery residency program from 1990 to 2011, during the implementation of optional annual international surgical missions, were surveyed to determine if the graduate had gone on a mission as a resident and as a plastic surgeon. Data were compared between graduates who participated in missions as residents and graduates who did not, from 1990 to 2011 and 1990 to 2007. Results Of Plastic Surgery graduates from 1990 to 2011 who participated in international missions as residents, 60% participated in missions when in practice, versus 5.9% of graduates participating in missions in practice but not residency (P<0.0001). When excluding last 5 years, graduates participating in international missions in practice after doing so as residents increases to 85.7%, versus 7.41% who participate in practice but not residency P<0.002. Conclusions Results reveal plastic surgeons who participate in international surgical missions as residents participate in international surgical missions in practice at higher rates than graduates who did not participate in missions during residency. International missions have significant intrinsic value both to trainee and international communities served, and this opportunity should be readily and easily accessible to all plastic surgery residents nationwide.

A Study on Estimation of Noise Damage caused by Rupture of Butane-can(volume : 34g)

  • It is very insecure to treat a butane can for cooking out of door. The human injury from the accidents of butane cans has been getting increased 1.5 times yearly since 2003. In this context, the Institute of Gas Technology Training in Korea Gas Safety Corporation carries out explosion experiment to make trainees to take all possible measures to ensure safe management of gas in the field by fully recognizing the hazards of gas explosion accidents. This study intends to examine the influence of such explosion experiments on the trainees witnessing nearby. The GEN exposed to the active students participating in the experiment away from 25 meters from the explosion site was 57.94 dB and the GEN to the passive students not participating away from 50 meters was 51.92 dB. According to Weber-Fechner's law for the lower value than 65 dB which is the environmental standard, it is safe from the place 15 meter far from the explosion place. The environmental standard of offices is 50 dB, and it is lower than the environmental standard if the office is 65 meter far from the explosion place.

영어교사 의사소통능력 향상을 위한 연수시간 요구도와 교사변인 연구 (A study on NNS teachers' needs for the training period in improving their general and classroom communicative competence, and its relations with teacher variables)

  • The goals of the present study are two-fold: 1) to examine NNS teachers' needs for training period in improving their general communicative competence and classroom communicative competence, and 2) to explore the relationships of teachers' needs for the training period, and their current levels of general/classroom communicative competence and other background variables. Data was collected from seventy primary and secondary school English teachers (N=70) who participated in the six-month intensive teacher training program in South Korea. The teacher trainees responded to four questionnaires of 1) the self-diagnosis of their current levels of four language skills (L/S/R/W) in both general/classroom communicative competence, 2) the training period required to improve their general/classroom communicative competence for teaching both English and other subjects through English, 3) the period of their English teaching, and 4) the proportion of their English use in class. The data analysis has shown that there were the strong relationships between trainee needs for the training period and their teaching period, and the proportion of their English use in class. In terms of trainees' communicative competence, the significant relations of both their general/classroom communicative competence and their needs for the training period were found. Implications of the findings are discussed.

VR-based education system for inspection of concrete bridges

  • In this study, a novel education system for inspection of concrete bridges is presented. The new education approach uses virtual reality (VR) and three-dimensional computer graphics (3DCG) in training engineers to become bridge inspection specialists. The slow time-dependent deterioration of concrete bridges can be reproduced on the computer screen in any chosen time frame, thus providing the trainees with illustrative and educative insight into the deterioration problem. In the proposed VR/3DCG approach a three-dimensional model of concrete bridge, including surfaces, viewpoints and walkthrough paths is created. With the help of this virtual bridge model, an experienced bridge inspection specialist teaches the different deterioration phenomena of concrete bridges to the trainees. The new system was tested, and the inspection results from the case bridge showed that in comparison with the traditional Japanese bridge inspection education system, the new system gives better results. In addition to the improvement of quality of bridge inspections, the new VR/3DCG system-based education brings along some other, more intangible benefits.

Individual and collective responsibility to enhance regulatory compliance of the Three Rs

  • Investigators planning to use animals in their research and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members who review the research protocols must take personal responsibility for ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties, applying the Three Rs principles of Russell and Burch. The two Korean laws introduced in 2008 and 2009 regulating animal use for scientific purposes in line with the Three Rs principles have been revised a total of 11 times over the last 6 years. Both regulatory agencies, e.g., the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, provide regular training based on the legal requirements. Based on the amended Animal Welfare Act, the IACUC appointment framework has been upgraded: appointments are now for two-year terms and require a qualified training certificate issued by the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency since 2012. The authors reviewed the current curricular programs and types of training conducted by the two governing agencies through Internet searches. Our Internet survey results suggest that: a) diversity should be provided in training curricula, based on the roles, backgrounds and needs of the individual trainees; b) proper and continued educational programs should be provided, based on trainees' experiences; and c) active encouragement by government authorities can improve the quality of training curricula.

공직 적격성 검사의 개발

  • 이 연구의 목적은 국가 고등고시 1차 시험에서 우수한 인재를 선발하기 위하여 적성검사를 개발하는 것이었다. 일반적성이론에 관한 문헌조사와 재직자와의 면접을 통한 직무분석 결과에 기초하여 언어능력, 상황판단능력, 자료해석 능력, 상식의 네 가지 하위영역을 측정하는 검사를 제작하여 대학생 집단, 재직자 집단, 수습사무관 집단을 대상으로 1차 실험평가를 실시하였다. 문항분석을 통해 문항의 양호도를 검토한 후 이러한 정보를 기초로 새로운 문항을 제작하고 대학생 집단, 재직자 집단, 수습사무관 집단을 대상으로 2차 실험평가를 실시하였다. 최종적으로 개발된 문항들은 신뢰도와 타당도 면에서 수용할만한 수준이었다. 개발된 공직 적격성 검사의 의의와 앞으로 고등고시에 지원할 응시자들에게 미치는 순기능을 논의하였다.

S이러닝체계에 대한 공군 교육생의 인식 분석 (Analysis of Air Force Trainee's Preception of e-learning system)

  • 공군 이러닝체계 구축을 위해 공군 교육체계에 대한 선행 연구 자료 분석과 함께 공군 교육생들을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과 3,597명이 응답하였고, 그 결과 공군 교육생 대부분이 이러닝에 대한 경험이나 인식은 부족하나, 기회가 주어진다면 이러닝 강좌를 수강하기를 원하고 있었다. 또한, 기존의 학습 포털 시스템에 대한 기능 개선에 대한 요구가 많았고, 집합교육보다는 개별교육을, 제한된 컴퓨터실보다는 자유 공간에서 학습하기를 원하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 공군 이러닝체계 구축에 필요한 요소를 크게 콘텐츠, 교관, 교육생, 서비스 등 4가지로 구분하고, 이에 대한 구체적인 개선 방안을 제안하였다.

사이버보안 전문인력 획득을 위한 사이버보안 훈련생에 특화된 훈련성과 측정 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Model of Training Performance Measurement Specialized to Cyber Security Trainee for Cyber Security Professionals Acquisition)

  • We proposed a specialized model of performance measurement to measure the training performance of the trainees in cyber practical training. Cyber security professionals are cultivating their expertise, skills, and competencies through cyber practical training in specialized education and training institutions. The our proposed process of trainee evaluation is consisted of an evaluation component discovery, evaluation item selection, evaluation index catalog, ratings and criteria decision, and calculation formula. The trainee evaluation is consisted of a formative evaluation during the training and an overall evaluation after finished training. Formative evaluation includes progress evaluation and participation evaluation, and overall evaluation includes practice evaluation and learning evaluation. The evaluation is weighted according to the importance of evaluation type. Because it is evaluated actual skills and abilities, competencies are assigned a high weight, while knowledge and attitudes are assigned a low weight. If cyber security trainees are evaluated by the proposed evaluation model, cyber security professionals can be cultivated by each skill and knowledge level and can be deployed by importance of security task.
