  • In this paper, magnetic field inside and outside express railway train is analysed by use of finite element method. We find that high permeability material reduces magnetic field inside train more than thick material. We also know windows in train does not have influence on magnetic field at seat in train.

  • A real train load fluctuates along the track because of complicated movements(Bouncing, Rolling, Pitching and Yawing) and rail conditions. This research has for its object in development of a numerical real train load model including fluctuation characteristics of lateral forces. It is based on Klingel movement theory of a wheelset on straight track it presents a propriety of application by comparison between a 3D-Numerical analysis result using this train load model and a measured data. And this paper presents further study subject to improve a method about the train load modeling.

  • Train crashes involve complex interaction between deformable bodies in multiple collisions. The purpose of this study is to suggest the effective analytical procedure using finite element model for the crashworthiness of motorized trailer of high speed train. Various types of crash events are investigated and the conditions for numerical simulation are defined. Finally korean high speed train which consists of aluminum members can be analyzed and designed by the numerical simulation.

  • This paper gives a basic data of improving the performance of railroad signalling equipment by adopting GPS and wireless telecommunication technologies. These approach enable the moving block control of train, which can optimize train operation by reducing the distance between trains and maximize the railroad capacity. These method of detecting train position and controling train movement can also improve the train route control at stations.

  • An automatic operation of train is executed by an automatic train operation(ATO) system. The main function of ATO system is to control train speed. So it makes the train stop at the programmed position accurately and improve riding comfort. In this paper, A fuzzy control is designed for speed control. The simulation is executed for verifying the speed control performance of the fuzzy system and comparing with that of the conventional PI.

  • The dynamics of train has recently been analysed in many cases and very complex nonlinear creep theories have been developed by many engineers. But much calculation time is spent and latest complex creep theories cannot be adapted in train analysis. In this study efficient and fast train analysis method was suggested. Many of degree of freedom were reduced in multi-vehicle system using equivalent system and fast calculation time was achieved. And the accuracy of equivalent system method was proved by linear and nonlinear dynamic analysis.

  • It is very difficult to find optimal train operation plan when analyzing the economic investment using traditional railroad travel demand estimation method. Train operation plan depends on travel demand and vice versa. To solve this problem, this study suggests a demand estimation method to address an optimal train operation scheme with the modal spilt using initial train operation plan and trip assignment.
