In this study, development process of a design program for Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) is briefly described. Survey results and corresponding analysis are shown to enhance a market competence of the deliverables. Standards and regulations for IFP design are analyzed to derive the system requirements. Detail development processes and test procedures are explained.

In this paper survey and analysis of recent trends in noise barriers and noise measurements and assessments were conducted for providing design basis of ANC barriers. Looking at the results, transparent barrier(glass) has received the most attention in domestic and foreign countries, because it has a harmony with the surrounding environment and easy installation in a small space. For optimal barrier design using computer simulation, reliability of simulation has been verified and classified into 5 groups, according to barrier's upper cross section. Evaluation results of barrier's performance and design using computer simulation are as follows : In the case of the "B-type" barrier, it has improved maximum 2.5dB(A) at each point(R1~R6) and have a good workability. Therefore, "B-type" Barriers applied to the next active noise barrier system will be possible.

In order to assess risk as a basic step for securing safety, it requires to select risk factors and determine the frequency and the severity of the consequence of each risk factor. This research adopted common risk factors among well-known maritime risk assessment models, and proposed objective criteria to gauge the risk level of each risk factor. The starting points of risk evolution were chosen for criteria according to related studies and seafarers' experience. The rate of risk appearance over the criteria is named as the incidence of risk factor. Therefore, the total risk level is expressed as the combination of incidence of each risk factor and severity. This quantitative method would be applied to measuring and comparing the risk level of target maritime zones, and it would also be useful to survey which risk factor be focused for reducing the total risk of a certain maritime zone.

The NATM(New Austrian Tunnelling Method) has been used for tunnelling since 1980's. But Collapses of tunnel under construction take place frequently, especially at urban areas because of adjacent buildings, underground conduits and traffic loads. This paper is a case study on the reinforcement method of subway tunnel at urban areas. In this study, ground inspection, geological investigation, laboratory test and numerical analysis by means of FDM program were carried out. The tunnel excavation was stopped because of over excessive brake of tunnel crown and shotcrete was installed to prevent deformation of adjacent ground as the temporary method. From the result of field survey and geological investigation, it is found that the soft weathered soil was distributed to the ground of tunnel invert unlike original investigation. The results of the analysis and the study show that the SGR(Space Grouting Rocket) method and Umbrella method can be applied for the stability of tunnel excavation and in addition the reinforcement of concrete lining is required for long-term stability of tunnel.

Vehicle platoons starting a stopline are dispersed while travelling along the street and the delay at the next intersection depends on the arrival pattern of dispersed traffic flow. In this paper, the platoon dispersion charactiristics of our country, especially the time gap between passenger cars and buses caused by the dwell time at bus stops, were investigated through travel time surveys. Based on the survey results, on improved analysis method of intersection delay is proposed.

It is very difficult to reduce traffic noise level in the downtown. The best method is to improve the sound amenity of the districts, considering concept of soundscape. ?his study aims to survey the effect of introducing sound and masking to reduce the background noise level. We carried out the evaluating test for 18 introducing sounds varied S/N ratio(-5, 0, +5) in the city riverside. In these test, subjects evaluated the sound environment with five bipolar adjective scales. It was evaluated that introducing sounds improved the sound environment and that S/N + 5dB was very appropriate to mask the background noise. But the hearing level was suggested to be S/N 0 dB or less.

Due to the opening of Incheon International Airport Terminal 2, the operation range of ground operators is expanding and the workload is increased, which may cause a deterioration of the operation quality. Airline and airport corporations are concerned about safety delays as well as delays in flight due to delays in operations. Air traffic demand at Incheon International Airport is expected to increase steadily in the future. Therefore, this study intends to derive quality improvement plan by investigating the perception of stakeholders about the status of fishing service in order to improve service quality of Incheon airport ground handling company. The results of the analysis are expected to be used as basic data for improving quality of service.

This paper analyzed the current status of universal design in the Republic of Korea (Korea) and Japan. In the case of Japan, the aged society or the super aged society has been preparing from 1985 when the aging rate was 10%. Japan's activity to prepare it became promoted during 1990's when per capita Gross National Income (GNI) was $$20,000{\sim}40,000$. In Korea, the preparation for the aging society such as physical environment, barrier free buildings or traffic systems, economic support and investigation or survey is not yet sufficient. Korea must start preparation for an aged society, possibly and quickly. And it needs to prepare until 2026, when the aging rate will be 20%. To prepare a barrier free and an aged society must consider both aging and economic status.

Nurses play a great role in the nursing unit and their behaviour should be evaluated in order to find user needs in terms of ward design of general hospital. This study aims to investigate the ways in which nurses activities and traffic occur in real behaviour setting of five general hospitals. For that purpose, intensive field survey was undertook to measure the nurses' attitudes and their activities were observed in the day time for 8 hours.

The purpose of this study is to provide the guideline of the interior design of Wedding halls, based on a series of investigations and analysis of the consumer's preference. Marriage is an essential ceremony of family life. However the Wedding culture has been changed since the western culture affected to traditional marriage concept. Many countries have different wedding culture and traditiov. Ours are largely divided into the traditional Korean wedding ceremony and the modern, i.e. the westerv. The customer's preference and the opinion for the Wedding hall analyzed through survey to find out the guideline for the interior desigv. The result of this research can be summarized as followings; 1) The interior design was the most influential element when choosing the wedding hall. 2) The preferred colors for the wedding hall were pink and white. 3) The preferred light fixture for the wedding hall was the chandelier. 4) The main points concerned in the guideline of interior design for the wedding hall were building facade, accessibility toward the wedding hall, parking lot, traffic circulation and etc.
