교통정보서비스 표출기준 개선 및 상세교통정보 기반 서비스 제공방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Standards of Traffic Information Service and Provide Services Based on the Detailed Traffic Information)

  • In this study, we formulated rational criteria to efficiently provide traffic information services via a crafted approach. By utilizing this, we presented a detailed traffic information service providing method that can overcome the limitations of existing link unit information provision system. Three methodologies such as user survey, data mining, and KHCM (Korea Highway Capacity Manual) utilization method were applied to formulate a rational expression standard for traffic information service. Each method was designed to establish a quantitative criterion for various traffic conditions and to enable user-oriented traffic information service in consideration of the traffic principal/compatibility. Considering the results of each methodological analysis in a comprehensive manner, the basic expression standards for traffic information service was formulated. Then we presented improvements such as traffic condition step by road, speed range of traffic condition, expression term of traffic condition and so on. In order to complement the problems of the information provision system of the existing link unit based on the derived improvement criterion, we presented the detailed traffic information service provision method by using the traffic speed data of the second order. And we applied this to the two links of Daegu city. The method presented in this research can improve the quality of traffic information service. Not only it can be used for various fields such as optimal route search, traffic safety service and so on.

Traffic Information Service Model Considering Personal Driving Trajectories

  • In this paper, we newly propose a traffic information service model that collects traffic information sensed by an individual vehicle in real time by using a smart device, and which enables drivers to share traffic information on all roads in real time using an application installed on a smart device. In particular, when the driver requests traffic information for a specific area, the proposed driver-personalized service model provides him/her with traffic information on the driving directions in advance by predicting the driving directions of the vehicle based on the learning of the driving records of each driver. To do this, we propose a traffic information management model to process and manage in real time a large amount of online-generated traffic information and traffic information requests generated by each vehicle. We also propose a road node-based indexing technique to efficiently store and manage location-based traffic information provided by each vehicle. Finally, we propose a driving learning and prediction model based on the hidden Markov model to predict the driving directions of each driver based on the driver's driving records. We analyze the traffic information processing performance of the proposed model and the accuracy of the driving prediction model using traffic information collected from actual driving vehicles for the entire area of Seoul, as well as driving records and experimental data.

교통정보센터 간 정보 연계체계 개선방안 (Improvement of Information Connection System among Traffic Information Centers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 신뢰성 높은 교통정보 서비스를 위하여 교통정보센터 간 정보 연계체계 개선방안을 도출하는 것이다. 교통정보 연계체계의 문제점으로 교통정보센터 간 연계시간 과다 소요로 인한 오차 발생, 정보 생성시각 및 생성주체에 관한 정보 부재 등으로 인한 정보의 신뢰도 부족, 정보 연계 관리체계 미비 등의 문제점을 인식하였다. 교통정보 연계체계 개선방안으로 연계시간 최소화, 정보의 신뢰성 향상 및 연계 관리체계 구축방안을 제시하였다.

무선 센서 네트워크 기반의 차량 검지 시스템을 위한 교통신호제어 기법 (Traffic Signal Control Scheme for Traffic Detection System based on Wireless Sensor Network)

  • A traffic detection system is a device that collects traffic information around an intersection. Most existing traffic detection systems provide very limited traffic information for signal control due to the restriction of vehicle detection area. A signal control scheme determines the transition among signal phases and the time that a phase lasts for. However, the existing signal control scheme do not resolve the traffic congestion effectively since they use restricted traffic information. In this paper, a new traffic detection system with a zone division signal control scheme is proposed to provide correct and detail traffic information and decrease the vehicle's waiting time at the intersection. The traffic detection system obtains traffic information in a way of vehicle-to-roadside communication between vehicles and sensor network. A new signal control scheme is built to exploit the sufficient traffic information provided by the proposed traffic detection system efficiently. Simulation results show that the proposed signal control scheme has 121 % and 56 % lower waiting time and delay time of vehicles at an intersection than other fuzzy signal control scheme.

교통정보 언론제공 연계시스템 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study of Integrated Press System Implementation for Traffic Information)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 언론매체 특성에 따른 요구정보 제공과 첨단교통정보의 효율적 활용, 사용자 중심의 편리한 교통정보 제공, 교통정보 유통 활성화에 기여하고자 교통정보 언론제공 연계시스템의 구축 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 국내 외 교통정보 언론제공시스템 현황을 분석하고, 언론매체별 요구사항을 검토하여, 시스템 구축방안과 연계 제공체계를 구현함으로서 언론제공 통합연계시스템 구축방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 설계는 정보이용자와 정보공급자의 필요충분조건을 중재하여 보다 다양한 교통정보를 활용 가능하게 하는 것으로 광역교통수단을 이용하는 사용자가 효율적인 공간이동 및 경제적인 이용가치를 높이도록 하였다. 언론매체를 통한 교통정보의 제공은 도로운전자에게 유용한 정보가 되며, 교통정보 언론제공으로 인한 교통량의 분산 및 교통 혼잡완화가 예상된다.

  • Real-time traffic detection scheme based on Computer Vision is capable of efficient traffic control using automatically computed traffic information and obstacle detection in moving automobiles. Traffic information is extracted by segmenting vehicle region from road images, in traffic detection system. In this paper, we propose the advanced segmentation of vehicle from road images using multiple local region information. Because multiple local region overlapped in the same lane is processed sequentially from small, the traffic detection error can be corrected.

  • 본 연구에서는 VMS와 인터넷 이용경험에 따른 태도, 제공되는 교통정보에 대한 이용자의 만족도, 그리고 교통정보 확장여부에 영향을 미치는 요인들간의 구조적인 관계를 파악하고자 하였다. 분석결과, VMS 이용경험에 따른 태도는 교통정보의 만족도와 교통정보의 확장성에도 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 교통정보의 만족도는 교통정보의 확장성에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, VMS 이용경험에 따른 태도가 교통정보의 만족도와 확장성 여부를 결정하는 주요 요인임을 파악할 수 있었다. 따라서 도로변의 VMS 이용경험이 긍정적일 경우 교통정보에 대한 만족도가 높을 뿐만 아니라 교통정보의 확장여부에도 긍정적으로 평가함을 알 수 있다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교통정보 데이터의 품질특성을 분석하여 신뢰성 있는 교통정보 평가기준을 마련하고, 교통정보 데이터의 평가 프레임 워크와 같은 평가절차를 제공함으로써 효율적인 교통정보센터 운영관리에 기여하고자 한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 체계공학 분야에서 활용되고 있는 교통정보 품질관리를 위한 온톨로지 기법을 통하여 데이터 특성을 분석하고 데이터베이스화 하였다. 본 연구의 지능형 교통체계에서 시스템적인 데이터베이스는 다양한 분야의 부체계 개발 및 구성품 요소설계의 지표 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다

Performance Analysis of ABR Congestion Control Algorithm using Self-Similar Traffic

  • One of the most important issues in designing a network and realizing a service is dealing with traffic characteristics. Recent experimental research on LAN, WAN, and VBR traffic properties has highlighted that real traffic specificities can not be displayed because the current models based on the Poisson assumption under estimate the long range dependency of network traffic and self-similar peculiarities. Therefore, a new approach using self-similarity characteristics as a real traffic model was recently developed. In This paper we discusses the definition of self-similarity traffic. Moreover, real traffic was collected and we generated self-similar data traffic like real traffic to background load. On the existing ABR congestion control algorithm transmission throughput with the representative ERICA, EPRCA and NIST switch algorithm show the efficient reaction about the burst traffic.

An Accurate Method to Estimate Traffic Matrices from Link Loads for QoS Provision

  • Effective traffic matrix estimation is the basis of efficient traffic engineering, and therefore, quality of service provision support in IP networks. In this study, traffic matrix estimation is investigated in IP networks and an Elman neural network-based traffic matrix inference (ENNTMI) method is proposed. In ENNTMI, the conventional Elman neural network is modified to capture the spatio-temporal correlations and the time-varying property, and certain side information is introduced to help estimate traffic matrix in a network accurately. The regular parameter is further introduced into the optimal equation. Thus, the highly ill-posed nature of traffic matrix estimation is overcome effectively and efficiently.
