This study is to analyze the impacts of different High-Pass lane speed limits. Paramics, microscopic simulation software, was used to perform microscopic simulations. For the simulations, Incheon toll gate traffic count data was used. The Paramics simulation results show that higher High-Pass speed limit (70Km/h) produced better traffic flow condition and less air pollution cost compared to existing High-Pass speed limit (30Km/h).
Travel Time is an important characteristic of traffic conditions in a road network. Currently, there are so many road users to get a unsatisfactory traffic information that is provided by existing collection systems such as, Detector, Probe car, CCTV and Anecdotal Report. This paper presents the results achieved with Data Fusion Model, Hybrid Neuro Fuzzy System for on - line estimation of travel times using RTMS(Remote Traffic Microwave Sensor) and Probe Data in the signalized arterial road. Data Fusion is the most important process to compose the various of data which can present real value for traffic situation and is also the one of the major process part in the TIC(Traffic Information Center) for analyzing and processing data. On-line travel time estimation methods(FALEM) on the basis of detector data has been evaluated by real value under KangNam Test Area.

In Korea, an intelligent transportation system(ITS) is established to efficiently operate traffic congestion on roads and is being used for traffic information collection and speed control systems. Currently, designated and dedicated lanes are in place to ensure traffic circulation and traffic safety, and systematic and accurate illegal vehicle crackdown systems with artificial intelligence technology are needed. In this study, we propose a vehicle number recognition model that can improve the efficiency of the traffic of designated vehicles. By applying computer vision technology, we are going to identify three-lane and four-lane multi-lane roads in real time and detect vehicle numbers by car to suggest ways to crack down on vehicles that violate the designated lane system.

This paper used big data and artificial intelligence technology to predict the rapidly increasing internet traffic. There have been various studies on traffic prediction in the past, but they have not been able to reflect the increasing factors that induce huge Internet traffic such as smartphones and streaming in recent years. In addition, event-like factors such as the release of large-capacity popular games or the provision of new contents by OTT (Over the Top) operators are more difficult to predict in advance. Due to these characteristics, it was impossible for an ISP (Internet Service Provider) to reflect real-time service quality management or traffic forecasts in the network business environment with the existing method. Therefore, in this study, in order to solve this problem, an Internet traffic collection system was constructed that searches, discriminates and collects traffic data in real time, separate from the existing NMS. Through this, the flexibility and elasticity to automatically register the data of the collection target are secured, and real-time network quality monitoring is possible. In addition, a large amount of traffic data collected from the system was analyzed by machine learning (AI) to predict future traffic of OTT operators. Through this, more scientific and systematic prediction was possible, and in addition, it was possible to optimize the interworking between ISP operators and to secure the quality of large-scale OTT services.

It is essential that is the collection of more accurate data to provide reliable traffic information. Currently collection of traffic information which uses the taxi or the passenger car by the probe vehicle is low reliability. If it develops the model which estimates car travel-time by using bus travel-time, it means that the sheep or duality of information using the passenger car and the taxi by the probe vehicle than will improve. Consequently the research which develops to each situation in accordance withtraffic volume and bus whole aspect car execution yes or no and bus stand form.
In this paper, we construct the traffic information database by using the acquired data from the traffic information devices installed in road network, and, by referring to this database, propose the intersection simulation system which can dynamically manage the real-time traffic flow for each section of road from the intersections, This system consists of hierarchical 3 parts, The lower layer is the physical layer where the traffic information is acquired on an actual road. The traffic flow control framework exists in the middle layer. The framework supports the grouping of intersection, the collection of real-time traffic flow information, and the remote monitoring and control by using the traffic information of the lower layer, This layer is designed by extending the distributed object group framework we developed. In upper layer, the intersection simulator applications controlling the traffic flow by grouping the intersections exist. The components of the intersection application in our system are composed of the implementing objects based on the Time-triggered Message-triggered Object(TMO) scheme, The intersection simulation system considers the each intersection on road as an application group, and can apply the control models of dynamic traffic flow by the road's status. At this time, we use the real-time traffic information collected through inter-communication among intersections. For constructing this system, we defined the system architecture and the interaction of components on the traffic flow control framework which supports the TMO scheme and the TMO Support Middleware(TMOSM), and designed the application simulator and the user interface to the monitoring and the controlling of traffic flow.

In this paper, we propose the realtime network traffic monitoring system usin SNMP that can supported network and system operation, management, expansion, and design using network analysis and diagnosis to a network administrator. The proposed system consists of two parts: analysis server for collection and analysis of the network information, and supports real-time monitoring of network traffic, and client system shows user a graphical data that analyzed a returned result from the server. This system implements web-based technology using Java and contributes to enhance the effectiveness of network administrator's management.

In this paper, I propose the web-based network traffic monitoring system to monitor computers running MS Windows in the small-scale PC-room. The system can support network and system operation, management, expansion, and design using network analysis and diagnosis to a network administrator. The whole system consists of two parts: analysis server for collection and analysis of the network information. and supports real-time monitoring of network traffic, and the web-based interface system. a client system shows user a graphical data that analyzed a returned result from the server. This system implements web-based technology using java and contributes to enhance the effectiveness of network administrator's management activities in PC-room by controlling and monitoring.

In this paper, we propose a new background generation method for image detector for traffic information collection. Conventional methods result in bad performance when there are frequent traffic jams due to heavy traffic. To improve on this, we use high level information from vehicle detection. Only part of the image that is not considered as vehicle is used in background generation. The proposed method finds background more robustly than that of the conventional methods even in the presence of heavy traffic.

The VDS(Vehicle Detection System) collects and transfers information about traffic situations in real time, therefore it makes the traffic management effective. Recently, the VDSs have provided good stability and accuracy in regard to system reliability and functions but they also have showed problems such as raising costs and consuming times when a new system is installed and/or the environmental requirements for the system are set up. The reason of the problems is that up to now the collection of the data and information about the traffic situations has been achieved by the 1:1 information exchange between the traffic control surveillance center and the each traffic field, between equipments and centers, and among data processing equipments and also centers. The communication systems used in the VDS are generally composed of 1 : 1 connection of the lines because the communication protocols are different in the most of the cases mentioned above. Consequently, this makes the number of communication lines become larger and causes the cost for the whole traffic information systems to increase. In this paper, a development of a controller to unify the communication protocols for the VDS is peformed to solve the problems which were mentioned above. Specially, the controller developed in this paper was applied to a radar vehicle detector and tested to show its usefulness. In addition to that, the developed controller was also designed to include functions to transfer the information about weather conditions on the roads.
