  • Purpose - A traditional retail market is a place that offers economic opportunity to employees and employers alike it also is a place where the community can meet. The Korean government has invested three trillion won to improve physical and non-physical aspects in traditional retail markets since 2004. However, little research on this has been conducted. We explore this research gap that could lead to theory extension. We analyze consumption behavior with respect to traditional retail markets through an empirical analysis, thus overcoming limits in previous research. We empirically analyze policy effects of traditional retail market projects supported by the Korean government. Research design, data, and methodology - We propose a traditional retail market improvement plan via the relation between cause and effect resulting from the analysis. More specifically, logit analysis was carried out with 1,754 consumers in 16 cities nationwide. In order to analyze consumer consumption behaviors nationwide, the probability was analyzed using a logit model. This research analyzes the link between support and non-support by the Korean government using binary values. The dependent variable is whether Korean government support is implemented; the binomial logistic regression is used as the statistical estimation technique. The object variables are:1 (support) or 0 (nonsupport), and the prediction value is between 1 and 0. As a result of the factor analysis of questions related to attributes of service quality, four factors were extracted: convenience, product, facilities, and service. Results - The results indicate that convenience, product, and facilities have a significant influence on consumer satisfaction in accordance with the government's traditional retail market support. Additionally, the results reveal that convenience, product, facilities, and service all have a significant influence on consumer satisfaction in a traditional retail market's service quality and consumer satisfaction. Finally, the analysis indicates that the highly satisfied traditional retail market customer has a significant influence on revisit intention. Moreover, the results reveal that the highly satisfied traditional retail market customer has a significant influence on recommendation intention. Conclusions - This research focused on consumers nationwide to measure policy effects of traditional retail markets compared to previous research that focused on one traditional retail market or a specific area. We verified the relationship of service quality and customer satisfaction and consumer behavior based on service quality theory. The results indicate that consumer satisfaction of traditional retail markets supported by service quality factors has a significant impact. In a concrete form, the results indicate that these effects are from facility modernization projects and marketing support projects of the Korean government. The results also imply that these facility and management support effects from the Korean government have been consistent. We realize that the Korean government has to selectively support traditional retail markets in major cities and small and medium-sized cities. To that end, the Korean government needs to select a concentration strategy for the revitalization of traditional retail markets.

  • The statistics of traditional korean medicine is essential aspects for the information based policy establishment and the evidence based traditional korean medicine research. But because the integrated statistics service of traditional korean medicine is not provided, people are hard to find out suitable statistics. Thus we analyzed the produced statistics from many ministries, classified it into 7 categories and extracted common fields from it. We designed the database schema by summary table dynamic production method from the analysis of statistics and designed the system composed of excel import, statistics analysis, chart creation and search engine. Finally we implemented the statistics system of traditional korean medicine which users are capable of modifying the statistics data freely. We hope that the implemented system will provide pliability in searching and finding statistical information.

  • The Randomized Control Trial (RCT) is the most well-established and widely used statistical methodology in clinical research; however, applying thorough RCT to cancer patients presents challenges such as ethical concerns, high costs, short clinical periods, and limitations in collecting various side effects. To address this issue, the propensity score matching method, which takes advantage of the benefits of observational research while compensating for the drawbacks of randomized control trials, is used in a variety of fields. In recent years, 28 studies on the effectiveness of Korean medicine on tumors have been conducted abroad using the Propensity Score Matching Method, but none have been conducted in Korea. The majority of studies have focused on liver cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, and stomach cancer, with endpoints such as survival time, incidence rate, quality of life, and treatment outcomes revealing statistical differences in how Korean medicine intervention affects treatment outcomes. As a result, well-established studies using the propensity matching score methodology should be useful in evaluating the impact of Korean medicine in oncology treatments.

We propose a cognitive MAC protocol using statistical channel information and selecting appropriate idle channel for transmission. The protocol based on the CSMA/CA, exploits statistics of spectrum usage for decision making on channel access. Idle channel availability, spectrum hole sufficiency and available channel condition will be included in algorithm statistical information. The model include the control channel and data channel, the transmitter negotiates with receiver on transmission parameters through control channel, statistical decision results (successful rate of transmission) from exchanged transmission parameters of control channel should pass the threshold and decide the data transmission with spectrum hole on data channel. A dynamical sensing range as a important parameter introduced to maintain the our protocol performance. The proposed protocol's simulation will show that proposed protocol does improve the throughput performance via traditional opportunistic spectrum access MAC protocol.

  • An edge is where the intensity of an image moves from a low value to high value or vice versa. The edges tell where objects are. their shape and size. and something about their texture. Many traditional edge operators are derivative based and perform reasonably well for simple noise-free images. In recent, statistical edge detectors for complex images with noises have been described. This paper compares and analysis the performance of statistical edge detectors based on the T test and Wilcoxon test, and mathematical edge detectors based on Sobel operator, and the well-known Canny detector and Wavelet transformation detector, and provides the implementation of these edge detectors using Java on the web.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care for postpartal women and to provide the basic data for improvement of service in a postpartum care center. The respondents of this study were 100 women of 6 postpartum care centers within a C province from Oct. 20 to Dec. 10, 2000. The instruments of measure were used for collecting data on the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care developed by the researcher. Data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, paired t-test, t-test, ANOVA which are calculated by Scheffe test and Cronbach's alpha which is used as a reliance level by using a SPSS-PC+. The results of the study were as follows:1. The average score for the degree of recognition of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) for postpartal women was $3.09{\pm}.31$, and they recognized that it was important. The methods which were ranked were as follows; Protecting the body from a harmful state, invigorating the body by the argumentation of heat and avoidance of cold, handling with whole heart, and keeping clean, resting without working, eating well. 2. The average score for the degree of performance of traditional postpartal care (Sanhujori) for postpartal women was $2.81{\pm}.31$, and they performed that it was important, too. The methods which were ranked were as follows; Protecting the body from a harmful state, invigorating the body by the augumentation of heat and avoidance of cold, eating well, handling with whole heart, and keeping clean, resting without working. 3. There were significant differences statistically (paired-t=-8.39, p=.000) of the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) for the postpartal women. The degree of recognition was higher than the degree of performance. So, the recognition of traditional postpartal care (Sanhujori) was higher than the performance of it. 4. There were no statistical differences of the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) among the postpartal women's age, religion, job, educational background, delivery frequency, delivery method or the sex of baby. So, the Characteristics of the respondents were not influenced as far as the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori). 5. There were significant differences statistically of the degree of performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) among the 5 postpartum care centers except 1 postpartum care center(p<.01). So, the recognition of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) was higher than the performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) in the 5 postpartum care centers. But there was performed as good as recognition in only 1 postpartum care center.
