Focused on developing form of Western architecture, invisible elements covering actual human life has been dealt with separately and the time was turned away and disparaged. But now the phenomenology, arranging such a meeting of space and time, gives opportunity to look at the actual life in architecture. Recently, Guille Deleuze and Merleau-Ponty tried to recover the sense of touch segregated in skin from body keeping eyes for distance. And the activity can be happened by being connected to the body rather than to eye in the space. From the phase of recognition where the human body tries to identify the object in the space considering a time, it will be changed for the subject to the phase of space-time structure. If the tactility is to erase the distance different from the visuality in dichotomy, it will be occurred to having a tension and makes new relationship to work trying to move the subjective point of view in object. Like this evidence in analysis of architecture, it can be found these in the Korean traditional architecture rather than Western architecture in terms of emphasizing the time and space. And this study will be intensive to the side of the Phenomenology how it is being connected to the movement in the space and time for the subject and object.

Although evolution of construction materials brought about development of modern architecture, they caused destruction of the environment and pollution. This problem is not a new one in terms of ecological esthetics and materials of sustainable architecture in light of the Eastern view of nature and this idea became a background of this study. The basic concept is to try to find out their characteristics from a perspective of ecological esthetics in relation to traditional building materials that nature, architecture, and humans coexist and live with each other to balance. Based on ecological esthetics and precedent studies on materials of traditional architecture, we investigated connections, expressive methods and characteristics in traditional residential construction space. This attempt has meanings in that it can propose a new framework of forming various viewpoints and spatial perceptions in relation to esthetics and traditional construction materials. The current study examined the characteristics by dividing them into tangible and intangible elements based on expressive features of elements of nature. The characteristics found by this process are not simply notion of physical materials, but plays a key role aesthetically and ecologically. Nature and materials take circulation of the law of nature, regulate energy, increase efficiency and play a major role in an economic way. Nature in itself becomes natural alternative energy, and plays its role in an invisible fashion. It examined how expressive characteristics of construction materials are reflected through analyzing residential space and Korean traditional garden having relationships with Eastern viewpoint of nature in relation to Korean traditional construction materials from a perspective of ecological esthetics. Findings of the above study indicate that expressive characteristics of Korean traditional construction materials from a perspective of ecological esthetics are that nature, space, humans coexist and live together and they will provide a clue to an alternative to solve ecological and environmental problems modern society will have in the future. Through this process, it provided a possibility that traditional space and materials can be succeeded in creative and new ways, and it found out the way for nature, space, and humans to coexist and a possibility of ecological esthetics. It addition, it will provide a key base as an alternative of sustainable design of the future.

Finally Pungsu applied in architectural space is analyzed in chapter 5.
This paper presents computer graphics applying the traditional Korean house(Hanok) style interior to unit-care space of Welfare Facility and proposes the possibility as interior design and construction materials. In this paper, the proposed computer graphic-based model is a single-story building that provides convenient traffic between rooms. Computer graphic-based model is presented by Auto CAD, 3D program (Sketch-UP v.8), rendering program (Podium v.2) based on the traditional Korean house and related work of unit-care welfare facility. Computer graphic-based model that combined unit-care and the traditional Korean house has the following characteristics. In each room of living space, wallpaper and flooring Korean paper(Hnaji) is considered and windows, door, furniture of traditional pattern were placed. The living room(Daechung) that is representative of the traditional Korean house and the corridor (toenmaru) are the elements to save the image of the traditional Korean house as much as possible. Especially, the corridor (toenmaru) is placed to conveniently use in nursing-care facility and home-care support facility. A public space is placed around the inside court (An-madang), while the living space (unit-care) has a sense of independence by separation. Bathroom and kitchen have a modern design for functionality than aesthetic elements.
This paper not only reviews recent trends and characteristics of welfare facilities, but also proposes main components such as building materials and furniture applying a traditional Korean house. This paper aims to utilize interior design and construction materials of unit-care welfare facility applying the traditional Korean house. Results are as follows. 1. The rate of the private bedroom as elderly welfare facilities is 63.1%; on the contrary, the rate of the 4-person bedroom is 63.2%. This study tried to analyze the composition relation of a form in Korean traditional architecture through the viewpoint of visual perception and through the analysis by the number and quantity, and to analyze and implied relationship between the form composition of the traditional architecture and the principles of perception in the contemporary viewpoint by reviewing all the aspects on how to be perceived. Architecture has been studied in the relationship of the form and the space both existing together, so has Korean traditional architecture. But in the present condition with the construction norm of the traditional architecture-well known for its beauty in shape-and documents not existing, so that the study on Korean traditional architecture in the aspects of the form has to be undertaken on the basis of researching the existing architecture theoretically and architecture-relating documents actually. Therefore this study tries to review the mathematical principle and the ideological background of those days, and the attitude of ancestors treatment to the architecture by researching the existing architectural figure. Using mathematical analysis method with the basis of the above synthetically, this study aims at the analysis in the aspects of the visual perception on the form of Korea an traditional architecture.
The beauty of Korean architecture is in its natural beauty. Traditional residence of Korea is architecture that expresses modesty that is embraces the nature. Hanok is designed based on understanding of the nature and responding to it. For this reason, Hanok is a nature-friendly residential space. There are many unique traits of Hanok and one of them is that it is built based on scientific principles. Hanok, without using modern technology and machines, utilizes effectively the natural environment and the climate, e.g., the sun and the wind. Hanok, based on Korea's geographical condition and climate characteristics, have produced a variety of residential houses. The principle of Hanok is not to challenge the nature but embrace and accept it. Furthermore, in Hanok is embedded Korea's traditional philosophy and ideas and it is not simply a simple residential space but also a place for meditation and spiritual training. As the time passes, there are more researches are being done to enhance health in addition to traditional role of protection and convenience. Accordingly, more efforts are being made to bring the nature into human life. Hanok, the traditional residential form of Korea, has environment-friendly architecture and characteristics that could promote human health and enhance our life. Therefore, the nature-oriented philosophy and environmental elements of Hanok should be more systematically studied to take advantage of its architectural advantages and create healthier modern residential culture.
