  • The main purpose of this paper is to suggest opportunities for reducing $CO_2$ emission in energy conversion of a vehicle, focused on auxiliary energy improvement in the automotive field. As part of worldwide efforts to curb global warming and to protect the domestic industry as trade barriers, many countries have set goals to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. As an example, new $CO_2$ emission regulation in EU was expected to go into effect strictly in 2020. Therefore, global car-makers need to establish strategic responsiveness of the regulations. This paper shows $CO_2$ economic value by using the correct interpretation of the relevant laws and regulations. The $CO_2$ value analyzed using quantitative figures leads to the possibility of auxiliary(accessories, HVAC, electric apparatus etc.) technology for improving fuel economy. As a result, this study generalizes the meaning of electric power saving for each driving mode by auxiliary energy improvement.

  • These days the international environmental regulations of the developed countries, especially from the EU, are rapidly changed to the regulations of product-based environment from a conventional end-of-pipe environmental technology. Especially the motive in this paper come from the EU's electrical and electronic equipment environment regulation. It may affect much to whole export of Korea Firms Integrated product policy has the potential to increase not only competitive power in today's global market, but also trade compatibility between countries. Furthermore it is important to make a contribution to sustainable development. CEOs must change their notions about firms' environmental policy from the end-of-pipe approach to the sustainable approach to improve company's competitive power. • In Korea, deep-sea fishing industry is faced with pressure of being thrown out of business, because of the upcoming unfavorable business conditions such as the fishing regulation of coastal countries, Korea-US Free Trade Agreement(KORUS FTA), and the other socio-economic changes. Hence, we present an evaluation of future business competitive for the deep-sea fishing industry so that the government can develop a concession plan for the deep-sea fishing industry by utilizing the results of this study. In efficiency analysis of deep-sea fishing industry, the decision maker may have two problems: (1) how to deal with multiple inputs and outputs of deep-sea fishing industry and (2) how to assign the weights on different inputs and outputs, In this paper, we proposed to use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to estimate efficiency of deep-sea fishing industry with multiple inputs and outputs. In the DEA, The direct impact of KORUS FTA, fishing regulation of coastal countries, fishing charges, and competitive fishing conditions were used as input parameters while the profitability and secured fishing quarters, as outputs. The results of DEA-BCC model indicate that 6 out of 12 DUMs have better efficiency under variable return to scale assumption.

  • Product-based environmental regulations, such as RoHS, REACH, EuP, etc., on electrical and electronic equipments, chemicals, and so on, initiated by the European Union, are becoming a global trend. These regulations can create barriers to trade among nations worldwide and may thereby have a direct impact on the function of internal market. If domestic companies utilize well the international environmental regulations in advance, they will get good opportunity for expanding overseas market. In this paper the current status of countermeasure for overcoming the international environmental regulations in domestic industries was investigated and the future plans were discussed.

  • This paper proposed several activation strategies at both the government and company parts for the development of domestic third party logistics(TPL) to pull electronic trade era much earlier. In the government side, it must need to arrange and integrate complex regulation rules on the Logistics for more smooth access and use the TPL market. Also, it has to provide multiple support policies such as tax reduction, technical and financial service providing, and logistics information system to TPL. Finally, it should construct the government levels education system to train and forster a competent man who is well qualified as a electronic and logiscic expert. The TPL company must build up a total logistics information system concerned with an innovative operation system such as SCM, JIT etc. which can provide logistic services on demand to the electronic trade customers to maximize consumer satisfaction. In the shipper company level, it try to join a long-term strategic alliance with TPL to reduce logistic cost and increase logistic service to its electronic trade consumers.

  • The main aim of this paper is to explore the Korean development strategy in the context of trajectories of the economic development from 1961 to 2010. The fast and high growth in the period of 1961 and 2010 resulted from the 'export-oriented industrialization' through a combination of 'mass production-mass exports' and '(relatively) high productivity-low wages' up to the late 1980s, a mixture of 'mass production-mass exports' and '(relatively) high productivity-high wages' to the late 1990s, and a combination of the reformation of public and private sectors for overcoming the Korean financial crisis and the gradual improvement of the marketization and social safety net since 2000. With respect to this model of development, the global and national modes of regulation were established. Along with the formation of endogenous forces (as the national mode of regulation), that of exogenous forces (as the global mode of regulation) are the important rules of the game at the global level, which lead and stabilize the process of accumulation by the export-led industrialization in Korea. In this respect, the establishment of global modes of regulation is led by exogenous forces such as trade regulations, exchange rates, global-Korean industrial relations, and global regulations of loans to developing countries. On the other hand, the national modes of regulation are formed by endogenous forces such as the triangular relationship of the state, capital and labor.

  • Since the global financial crisis, criticism against the integrity of financial institutions proposed new financial regulations such as Basel III. These systems are expected to have impacts multilaterally on management and structure of mid- and long-term financial industry. It is also believed that financial institutions will inevitably review business model to respond to these enhanced regulations. The ongoing global financial regulation pursues regulation scope extension, introduction of global regulatory capital system, introduction of global liquidity, etc. As for quantitative index, Basel Committee on Banking Supervision is promoting QIS which is discussed mainly on implementation time from the juridical point of view. This study aims to present domestic banking industry's structural changes depending on regulation enhancement of foreign countries after global financial crisis, and suggest strategy that improves competitiveness of products. Looking at the research result, global financial regulation requires compliance with the regulations through treaties but it shows negative time center around banks. Furthermore, it is also pointed out financially advanced countries' passive attitude on regulation enhancement is problem. Therefore, regulations differentiated between developing and developed countries, dualistic regulations on financial industry, participation of advanced nations, etc are the postulation to change the structure of financial industry.

  • The economic burden which our society has to take exceeds the benefit that it becomes by the free circulation of information. Problems such as inconvenience or inequality between people can also occur since the regulation task of spam e-mail or SMS is imposed on two organs; the Department of Information and Communication and Free Trade Commission. The dualization of regulation separates related laws, which makes exception according to the $\ulcorner$Law on Information Communication Usage and Information Protection$\lrcorner$ or poses double regulation toward the same case. The spam prevention activity at free hands of information communication network provider such as portal site or mobile communication has many limitations along with comparison and analysis of spam regulations abroad. Therefore, examinations on legal obligation such as service restriction, identification and technical measure to spam prevention is needed. This study focuses on making the scope of spam regulation clear by considering the domestic related laws and the general environment of industry, on enacting law which regulates spam including advertisement and on deducting essential facts in enacting or modifying related laws and thus, deducting the form and contents of spam regulation law which is most decent in our domestic environment.
