  • TRIZ, the Russian acronym for Theory of Inventive Problem Solving(TIPS) is introduced in this paper. The core concepts of TRIZ such as levels of inventions, patterns of technological evolution, technical and physical contradictions are explained. It is also discussed that how TRIZ can be applied to quality function deployment in order to overcome negative correlations(i.e., trade-off relationships) between engineering characteristics. Some case examples are presented for the purpose of explanation.

Business Cycle Synchronization between the European Union and Korea

  • In the recent 20 years, the capital flows between Korea and European Union have increased and diversified. In particular, the business cycles of two economies have shown similar patterns since the Global Financial Crisis. This study examines both trends and investigates the roles of finance and trade on business cycle co-movements between two economies. The empirical results show that the business cycles can diverge due to either the common shocks or the country-specific shocks. Furthermore, financial integration increases the business cycle co-movements driven by both the country-specific shocks and the common shocks between two economies.

  • Recently, in the metro railways, researches on the skip-stop operation and development of the double deck train-set are active, which is to improve the service quality through reducing the passenger travel time and suppling seating service. Constructing new line or reforming the existent line needs huge amount of budget. Therefore, previous to start these large scale projects, scrutiny on benefit improvement, cost reduction and those optimal trade-off is indispensable. In this paper, a quantitative analysis to determine the optimal train service patterns and train-sets necessary is proposed, under the skip-stop operation condition in the metro railways. The analysis models are formulated in mathematical programming model, and tested validity using the LINGO 7.0.

A Research on Difference Between Consumer Perception of Slow Fashion and Consumption Behavior of Fast Fashion: Application of Topic Modelling with Big Data

  • Purpose: The article deals with the proposition that consumers' fashion consumption behavior will still follow the consumption behavior of fast fashion, despite recognizing the importance of slow fashion. Research design, data and methodology: The research model to verify this proposition is topic modelling with big data including unstructured textual data. we combined 5,506 news articles posted on Naver news search platform during the 2003-2019 period about fast fashion and slow fashion, high-frequency words have been derived, and topics have been found using LDA model. Based on these, we examined consumers' perception and consumption behavior on slow fashion through the analysis of Topic Network. Results: (1) Looking at the status of annual article collection, consumers' interest in slow fashion mainly began in 2005 and showed a steady increase up to 2019. (2) Term Frequency analysis showed that the keywords for slow fashion are the lowest, with consumers' consumption patterns continuing around 'brand.' (3) Each topic's weight in articles showed that 'social value' - which includes slow fashion - ranked sixth among the 9 topics, low linkage with other topics. (4) Lastly, 'brand' and 'fashion trend' were key topics, and the topic 'social value' accounted for a low proportion. Conclusion: Slow fashion was not a considerable factor of consumption behavior. Consumption patterns in fashion sector are still dominated by general consumption patterns centered on brands and fast fashion.

품질속성의 트레이드오프 분석을 통한 아키텍처 패턴 추천 방법 (An Architectural Pattern Recommendation Method Based on a Quality-Attributes Trade-off Analysis)

  • 아키텍처는 시스템의 품질 속성과 요구사항 그리고 비즈니스 목적 달성을 위해 이루어지는 중요한 설계 결정들의 집합으로 현재 소프트웨어 공학 프로세스에서 필수적으로 다루어지는 과정 중 하나이다. 최근 소프트웨어가 사용되는 컨텍스트와 개발 환경이 크게 변화하면서 복잡한 요구사항을 다루고 시스템의 품질 속성을 달성하는 것이 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 하지만 아키텍처 설계가 많은 부분에 있어 아키텍트의 직관에 의존하고 있으며 재사용 가능한 아키텍처 패턴을 설계에 적용할 때 패턴 스키마가 통일되지 않고 사용자 관점에서 표현되어지지 않아 비교 분석에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문은 아키텍처 패턴을 사용자 관점에서 재해석하여 품질 속성 요구사항과의 간격을 줄여주는 새로운 스키마를 제안한다. 또한 스키마로 재구성한 패턴 모델을 이용해 아키텍처 설계의 가장 중요한 요인인 품질속성이 설계 결정에 어떤 영향을 주는지 트레이드 오프를 고려한 패턴 추천 방법을 제안 한다.

빔 틸팅 특성을 갖는 개구 급전 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계 연구 (Design of the Aperture Coupled Microstrip Antenna with Tilted Beam)

  • 본 논문에서는 다이폴 야기 배열 안테나의 동작 원리를 개구 급전 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나에 적용하여 틸티드 빔(tilted beam) 특성을 가지는 패치 안테나를 제안하고 그 특성을 실험적으로 고찰하였다. 제안된 안테나는 구동 패치, 반사 패치, 유도 패치들의 크기, 각 패치 간 간격, 유전체 기판의 두께와 유전율, 그리고 급전 방법 등에 의해 성능 변화 및 특성이 좌우되기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 이득과 빔 틸팅에 큰 영향을 미치는 변수들을 찾아내고 이들에 의한 성능 trade-off을 통해 빔 틸티드 개구 급전 마이크로 스트립 패치 안테나를 설계 제작하고 반사 손실과 빔 패턴에 대한 설계 및 측정 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 제작된 안테나는 공진 주파수인 2.58 GHz에서 앙각 방향에서의 주 빔은 45$^{\circ}$틸티드 특성을 가지고 있으며, 시뮬레이션 빔 패턴과 잘 일치하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 주식 시장의 기술적 분석의 기본에 대해 제시하였다. 소매 투자자나 거래자는 다양한 정보원으로부터 나오는 외부 정보를 얻을 수 있는 수단이 제한적이다. 일반적으로 기술적 분석에는 캔들 차트가 주로 활용된다. 인도의 대부분의 브로커는 차트 솔루션도 제공하고 있다. 보안이나 원자재 또는 Forex의 가격 변동을 분석해 보면 일반적인 주가 변동 패턴을 예측 할 수 있다. 주가는 특정 수준에서 반영되며 지지 및 저항 수준으로 널리 알려져 있다. 유가 증권의 가격에 발생하는 모든 일이 과거 언젠가 이미 진행된 패턴 또는 주기의 일부로 간주되기 때문에 이러한 연구는 영리한 애널리스트가 특정 확률로 가격의 미래 변동을 예측하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 캔들스틱의 패턴, 가격 변동, 거래량 및 지표에 대한 연구는 가능한 목표 및 손절매로 높은 확률의 거래를 할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 본 연구 결과를 활용하여 트레이더나 투자자는 확률이 높은 거래나 조건을 취하고 투자 손실을 통제할 수 있게 된다.

풍력발전기가 설치된 고층빌딩에 대한 전산유체역학적 고찰 (CFD Analysis on a Tall Building Augmented Wind Turbine)

  • Renewable energy or green energy is a hot issue in theses days. Since wind resource can be endlessly supplied by nature, researchers and common people are interested in study how to use that resource at home or company. Especially, many architects have tried to integrate wind power generator for a part of building. So in this paper, three buildings installed wind power turbine are targed to CFD analysis and these buildings are Bahrain trade center, Discovery tower, and Pearl river tower. Bahrain trade center is the first building installed real wind turbine, Discovery tower is constructing at Texas, and Pearl river tower is designed and proved by china researchers. These buildings have very different type of wind power turbine and each turbine has different conditions f3r best power generation. Therefor this paper will focus on characteristic shape of buildings, wind power turbine type, and expected purpose of construction. Moreover, CFD analysis will show wind flow pattern and wind speed while wind is passing through wind turbine of three tall buildings. CFD analysis for three buildings make comparison the wind flow patterns with experimental result.

  • Alternative energy sources such as renewable energy like solar power systems, wind power systems, or fuel cell power systems has been the rising issue in the electrical power system. This paper discusses an economic study analysis of fuel cells in the korean electricity market. It includes the basic concept of a fuel cell and the korean electricity market. It also describes the need of renewable energy and how the fuel cell is connected with the local grid. This paper shows the impact of production and recovering thermal energy of a grid-connected fuel cell power system. The profit maximization approach has been structured including electrical power trade with the local grid and heat trade within the micro-grid. The strategies are evaluated using a local load that uses electric and thermal power which has different patterns between summer and winter periods. The solution algorithm is not newly developed one, but is solved by an application called GAMS. Results indicate the need and usefulness of a fuel cell power system.
