회전윤법에 의한 에폭시 몰드 절연재료의 내트래킹성 평가 (Tracking Resistance of Epoxy Mold Insulating Materials by the Rotating Wheel Dip Test)

  • The time to tracking breakdown of treated filled specimen is longer than untreated filled specimen. And, after the RWDT, the surface of specimen by adding untreated filler appeared heavy erosion. It was found that the addition to surface treated filler. the better tracking resistance. In the RWDT, the breakdown specimen is not affected by the dry flashover voltage. despite the fact that the surface degradation of tracking test has different state on each specimen. This suggests that wet flashover voltage play an important role in evaluating of tracking and erosion on the surface degradation in tracking test. And, the flashover voltage of specimen under wet conditions are greatly affected by the salt concentration and degree of degradation by the RWDT. Because of hydrophobicity and degree of degradation by the RWDT, the flashover voltage of treated filled specimen is higher than that of untreated filled specimen. Different types of specimen may have different hydrophobicity and their surface state under contaminated conditions may not be the same. It is assumed that this phenomenon is related to the decrease in hydrophobicity of the surface of the materials.

  • Silicone composites for high voltage insulator(HVI SC) were prepared by adding aluminum trihydrate(ATH) treated by surface treatment agent to base silicone compound at the ratio of 100:20, 100:40, 100:60, 100:80, and 100:100, respectively. And also, ATH was treated by various surface treatment agents, such as stearic acid, acryl silane vinyl silane under compounding process. electrical properties were investigated for the various contents of ATH and solace-treatment agents we mlas ured volume resistivity, breakdown and tracking resistance were for HVISC containing ATH treated by viuyl silane.

  • It has been reported that the formation of conductive carbon path is mainly affected by scintillation. In this paper, mechanisms of tracking deterioration are reviewed by counting light pulse with IR photodiode. The influence of applied voltage and molecular composition of materials in the tracking breakdown is also reviewed by the Number of Pulse curve.

  • In this paper, It is tested by spraying the spoiled liquids on the materials to prove the process of tracking under the various environments. Our experiments ware examined by setting the materials in the spray chamber, and by spraying the distilled water(DW), the city water(CW), the underground water(UW), the artificial acid rain(AR) and the salt water(SW) in applied voltage 3-6[KV]. As the result, the time of tracking breakdown became shorter in the order of DW < CW < UW < AR < SW. XLPE was eroded and its anti-bracking property was very strong, but that of PVC sheath was week. Especially it was confirmed that spraying by AR and SW on the PVC sheath had a serious effect on the lifetime of cable by the tracking breakdown.

  • In this paper, aging characteristics of silicone rubber used for outdoor insulation have been investigated with regards to sunlight effect. For this purpose, silicone rubbers were aged under the artificial sunlight by use of xenon arc lamp(1500W) and various tests were performed such as tracking, breakdown, contact angle, stress, strain. And then, in order to elucidate the changes of material, analysis have been followed as follows; FT-IR, SEM and EDS. Regarding the effect of the sunlight, it was obs that the surface of test samples are severely da with decreased hydrophobicity, tracking resistan breakdown strength.

  • 본 논문은 백열등 부하 전기설비에서 측정한 전류 파형으로 전기사고 징후를 조기에 검출하기 위한 것이다. 첫째, 저항성 회로에서 전류 모니터의 특성을 분석하였다. 둘째, 백열등을 부하로 하는 전기설비를 구축하고, 전기설비의 일부에서 KS C IEC(Korea Standard C International Electrostatic Commission) 60112에 따라 트래킹을 발생시켜 사고를 모의하였다. 전기사고 징후는 전류 모니터로 측정한 전류파형을 분석함으로써 검출되었다. 그 결과 부하의 수에 관계없이 사고의 최종 단계인 트래킹으로 진전되어 갈수록 전류 파형에는 점점 큰 전류 펄스가 보였고 출현빈도도 더욱 높아졌다.

  • Using as an alternate of insulating material for outdoor and cable, however, it has still many problems to be solved in the field of material such as resistances of environment and tracking. In this paper, Tracking property of PVC filled with aluminum hydroxide have been investigated by ASTM D 2303 method. It was found that time to track of PVC filled aluminum hydroxide was longer than that of unfilled PVC. Tensile strength and elongation of PVC were decreases increased with aluminum hydroxide contents. On the other hand, Thermegravimetry of PVC decreased. Therefore, the increase of time to tracking breakdown by antitracking additive can be explained by increased degradation temperature of polymer.

Classification of Bridge Current and Analysis of Heat Transfer Characteristics in Polyvinyl-Chloride-Sheathed Flat Cord Under Tracking

  • In this study, we examine the tracking happen in a polyvinyl-chloride-sheathed flat cord (PVCSFC), which is widely used as a distribution cord. The study classifies the bridge current via the formed conductive paths during tracking in the PVCSFC. Further, it attempts to distinguish the characteristics of heat generation and heat transfer by kind of bridge current. When the PVCSFC is in the static state, the bridge currents flow only through the electrolyte bridge. In the case of the carbonized PVCSFC, the bridge currents flow through one or more conductive paths. One is the electrolyte bridge, the other is the bridge that is consisted electrolyte and carbonized insulation. Currents flowing through different conductive paths have different heat generation and transfer characteristics. As the bridge current flowing in the conductive path consisting of electrolyte and carbonized insulation increases, the temperature difference between the surface of the PVCSFC and ambient air also increases correspondingly.

  • We investigated the tracking and erosion resistance of the silicone rubber by Inclined-Plane Method. And, with the variation of the accelerated conditions such as the applied voltage and composition of contaminant, the change of the tracking characteristics according to such conditions was evaluated. The leakage current significantly increases with the increasing voltage, but the weight loss remains almost the same. The voltage above 5.0 kV isn't recommended because tracking breakdown occurs as fast as it does without erosion, and the typical discharge waveform was the form of rectifying wave.

  • This paper presents the tracking resistance and mechanical strength due to boiling absorption of epoxy resin. The single network structure specimen(E series) formed of epoxy alone and interpenetrating polymer network(IPN) structure specimen(EM series) which epoxy resin was taken as first network and methacrylic acid resin as second network were manufactured. As adding $SiO^2$ filler classified by o[phr], 50[phr] and 100[phr] to those specimens, six kinds of specimens were manufactured and boiled in water during 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64[hours]. As a result, it was confirmed that the tracking breakdown time of E series showed a abrupt decrease with boiling time increasing, but that of EM series was decreasing smoothly. Also, it was verified that the degrading rates of mechanical strength was lowerd according to improvement of adhension strength in case of EM series.
