추적 파라미터를 고려한 주파수 도약신호 추적 잡음 재밍의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Follower Noise Jamming Considering Tracking Parameters against Frequency Hopping Signals)

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of Follower Noise Jamming(FNJ) considering three practical tracking parameters such as tracking bandwidth, tracking time and tracking success probability. The performance of FNJ is compared with that of Partial-Band Noise Jamming(PBNJ) in terms of Symbol Error Rate(SER) at the communication receiver under the assumed typical operation model. It is observed that the performance of FNJ is non-linearly dependent on the tracking bandwidth, the tracking time and the tracking success probability. As we can easily expect, it is also observed that the performance of FNJ is better than that of the PBNJ. Finally, it is shown that, for a fixed tracking bandwidth, the combinations of the required tracking time and the tracking success probability which satisfy a certain required SER.

Extraction of Optimal Operation Condition of QAM Envelope Tracking System using Combined Cost Function of Bandwidth and Efficiency

  • In this paper, we suggest a combined cost function to find out the optimal operation of an envelope tracking system, and evaluated its performance with Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) waveform, with which envelope tracking coefficients for the peak drain efficiency and the bandwidth of power amplifiers are determined. Based on the classical envelope tracking theory, the operation of the supply modulator, which is a key part of the envelope tracking process, is modeled and analyzed mathematically. Then characteristics of the modulator by setting envelope shaping function as a cubic polynomial and sweeping the coefficients of this function was analyzed. By sweeping the coefficients, efficiency and bandwidth at each condition with 64-QAM signal was used to obtain optimal point of the supply modulator. Compared to the conventional shaping functions, the optimized function showed the bandwidth reduction by 12.7 percent point while the efficiency was maintained.

  • 본 논문에서는 3GPP 모뎀용 비동기식 동기추적회로(noncoherent code tracking loop)를 설계하고 설계된 회로의 정상상태 지터 분산(steady-state jitter variance)과 과도응답 특성(transient response characterisitc)을 해석한다. 먼저, AWGN 환경에서의 지터 분산을 펄스성형 필터(pulse-shaping filter), 타이밍 오프셋(timing offset), 신호 대잡음비(signal-to-interference ratio), 루우프 대역폭(loop bandwidth)에 대한 일반식으로 유도하고, 과도응답 특성을 이론적으로 해석한다. 이를 바탕으로, 디지털 하드웨어 구현이 용이한 가변 대역폭 동기추적회로를 설계하며 설계된 회로와 고정 대역폭 시스템의 성능을 이론적으로 비교, 분석하고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증한다.

Carrier Tracking Loop using the Adaptive Two-Stage Kalman Filter for High Dynamic Situations

  • In high dynamic situations, the GPS carrier tracking loop requires a wide bandwidth to track a carrier signal because the Doppler frequency changes more rapidly with time. However, a wide bandwidth allows noises within the bandwidth of the tracking loop to pass through the loop filter. As these noises are used in the numerical controlled oscillator(NCO), the carrier tracking loop of a GPS receiver shows a degraded performance in high dynamic situations. To solve this problem, an adaptive two-stage Kalman filter, which offers the NCO a less noisy phase error, can be used. This filter is based on a carrier phase dynamic model and can adapt to an incomplete dynamic model and a quickly changed Doppler frequency. The performance of the proposed tracking loop is verified by several simulations.

Adaptive Bandwidth Algorithm for Optimal Signal Tracking of DGPS Reference Receivers

  • A narrow loop noise bandwidth method is desirable to reduce the error of raw measurements due to the thermal noise. However, it degrades the performance of GPS initial synchronization such as mean acquisition time. And it restricts the loop noise bandwidth to a fixed value determined by the lower bound of the allowable range of carrier-to-noise power ratio, so that it is difficult to optimally track GPS signal. In order to make up for the weak points of the fixed-type narrow loop noise bandwidth method and simultaneously minimize the error of code and carrier measurements, this paper proposes a stepwise-type adaptive bandwidth algorithm for DGPS reference receivers. In this paper, it is shown that the proposed adaptive bandwidth algorithm can provide more accurate measurements than those of the fixed-type narrow loop noise bandwidth method, in view of analyzing the simulation results between two signal tracking algorithms. This paper also carries out sensitivity analysis of the proposed adaptive bandwidth algorithm due to the estimation uncertainty of carrier-to-noise power ratio. Finally the analysis results are verified by the experiment using GPS simulator.

  • 추적 레이더는 표적을 추적하기 위해 각도, 거리 및 주파수 추적루프를 사용한다. 특히, 레이더의 거리 추적루프 대역폭은 신호대 잡음비 및 표적의 거리에 따라 타협된 값으로 결정될 수 있다. 반면에 전자전은 레이더가 표적을 추적하지 못하도록 전자공격을 수행한다. 이때 전자전은 레이더의 추적루프 방해를 위해 기만 및 잡음재밍이 수행될 수 있다. 전자전에서는 레이더의 거리추적 대역폭을 추정하여 전자공격에 이용할 수 있다. 이를 위해 레이더 수집변수를 활용하여 레이더 거리추적 대역폭을 추정하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다.

Sensorless Control of Non-salient Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drives using Rotor Position Tracking PI Controller

  • This paper presents a new velocity estimation strategy for a non-salient permanent magnet synchronous motor drive without high frequency signal injection or special PWM pattern. This approach is based on the d-axis current regulator output voltage of the drive system, which contains the rotor position error information. The rotor velocity can be estimated through a rotor position tracking PI controller that controls the position error at zero. For zero and low speed operation, the PI gain of the rotor position tracking controller has a variable structure according to the estimated rotor velocity. Then, at zero speed, the rotor position and velocity have sluggish dynamics because the varying gains are very low in this region. In order to boost the bandwidth of the PI controller during zero speed, the loop recovery technique is applied to the control system. The PI tuning formulas are also derived by analyzing this control system by frequency domain specifications such as phase margin and bandwidth assignment.

  • This paper proposed to recognize and tracking the ID and location when a person and objects moved from indoor using RFID a type of passive tag. An antenna was installed in both sides of a door due to the limitation of a recognition distance. And frequency bandwidth was used to the 134.2kHz bandwidth to pass and bend several obstacles. Because a type of passive tag is a semi -permanent and miniaturization, it has applied to this paper.

  • 본 논문에서는 비코히어런트 방식의 시간분할 조만 동기추적루프에 속하는 타우진동루프의 최적 설계를 위한 대역통과필터의 대역폭에 대하여 고찰하였다. NRZ 데이터의 경우 이상적 대역통과 필터를 채용한 비코히어런트 TDL의 제곱손실 및 최소의 동기추적지터를 구하였다. 또한 이를 이용하여 최적의 3dB 대역통과필터 대역폭을 주어진 데이터율과 데이터 신호대잡음비에 대해 계산하였다. 결과로서 이상적 대역통과 필터의 경우 최적의 대역폭은 주어진 신호대잡음비에 따라 데이터율의 약 1-2배의 범위 내에 존재함을 알 수 있었다.

For zero and low speed operation, PI controller gains of rotor position tracking controller have a variable structure according to the estimated rotor velocity. In order to boost the bandwidth of PI controller around zero speed, a loop recovery technique is applied to the control system. The proposed method only requires the flux linkage of permanent magnet and is insensitive to the parameter estimation error and variation. The designers can easily determine the possible operating range with a desired bandwidth and perform the vector control even at low speeds. The experimental results show the satisfactory operation of the proposed sensorless algorithm under rated load conditions.
