외국인 환자 진료를 위한 지역별 의료자원 이용의 효율성 분석 (Analyzing the Efficiency of Regional Medical Resource Uses for Foreign Patient Care)

  • This study purposed to analyze the productivity of regional medical capacity in attracting medical tourist between 2009 and 2011. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) and Malmquist productivity index (MPI) were applied to test the productivity and changes in study periods. The DEA model included a number of doctors, nurses, and beds as input factors, and a number of inpatient and outpatient, and hospital income as output factors. The result of the study were as follow. Jeju had efficiency value of 1 for three years. Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Ulsan, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam showed an increasing trend of efficiency value over three years. Seoul had the efficiency value, 1, in 2011. But, Incheon, Gwangju showed decreasing efficiency score during the study period. MPI showed overall productivity decrease during the period. Further studies will be needed by collecting more time-series data.

관광동굴의 환경친화적 관리 방안에 관한 연구 (Pro-environmental Maintenance and Management of Tour Cave : The Currents, Problems and Alternatives in Korea)

  • Most scholars calssify caves into natural resource, but caves possess values of natural and human resource, mix up the features of natural resources and human resources. Now, caves are distributed 260 in Korea. Seongryu Cave is showed in 1967 for the first time, till 1997 12 caves is opened to tourist. But since 1996 the 12 show caves of all is not launched the safety and environment-protection check-up adduced reason for IMF. Then caves must maintain environment of the normal temperature, humidity and dark. But the environment of caves are destroyed by tourism development. Thus to maintain environment of caves, it used to consider the counterplan as follows in restraint of the environmental change. Firstly, in case of development work to open caves, it must keep up with the prototype. Secondly, it must establish a freight depositary to prevent the influence of the caves's stain and damage due to tourist's objects. Thirdly, to maintain the normal temperature and humidity, it must install artificial poultice equipment of the inner parts of caves. Fourthly, in order to prevent the occurrence of $CO_2$, it must assessment of the optimum number of the greatest stayer. Fifthly, the control of closure for a given period of time is useful of the restoration to the cave's original state. Sixthly, by means of make narrow entrance, it should not influence the outer's air on the inner parts on caves. Seventhly, to keep the temperature of the inner part of caves, the lightening should be maintained moderately considering the convenience of a tour. Eightly, when water-proof cables for the lightening bulbs are connected each other, silicon tape is suitable and circuit breakers should be installed at the diverging points of the cables. Ninthly, the direction and angle of the lightening must be changed periodically to prevent green-pollution at the lightening spot. Lastly, when facilities and arrangements are equipped, corrosive materials should be excluded if circumstances allow.

농촌관광의 내재적동기와 음식선호에 대한 융복합 연구 (A Convergence Study on the Relationship between Food Preferences and Intrinsic Motivation of Rural Tourism)

  • 연구의 목적은 농촌관광 내재적동기와 음식선호의 관련성을 살펴봄으로써 농촌관광 음식상품의 방향을 제안하는 것이다. 분석을 통해 농촌관광 내재적동기는 '여가지향', '가족지향', '관계지향', '건강지향', 음식선호는 '요리건강성', '재료기능성', '지역자원성', '소비체험성' 요인이 추출되었다. 상관관계 분석결과 '여가·건강지향'은 요리건강성, '건강·관계지향'은 재료기능성, '여가·가족·관계지향'은 지역자원성, 관계지향은 소비체험성과 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 그러므로 휴식과 힐링, 건강을 원하는 관광객에게는 건강한 요리를 제공하고, 가족 등과 여가 시간을 희망하는 관광객은 향토요리나 특산물요리를 제공하며, 사람과의 관계를 원하는 관광객은 기능성식품이나 한방약초 요리가 권장된다. 관광객 요구에 맞는 농촌관광 음식상품은 관광객의 만족도를 높임으로써 재방문을 유도하여 농촌관광의 확대를 통해 농촌 지역 경제 활성화를 가져올 것이다.

문화·관광부문 타당성조사를 위한 중력모형의 개선방안 (Improving the Gravity Model for Feasibility Studies in the Cultural and Tourism Sector)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the gravity model commonly used for demand forecasting upon the implementation of new tourist facilities and analyze the main causation of forecasting errors to provide a suggestion on how to improve. Design/methodology/approach - This study first measured the errors in predicted values derived from past feasibility study reports by examining the cases of five national science museums. Next, to improve the predictive accuracy of the gravity model, the study identified the five most likely issues contributing to errors, applied modified values, and recalculated. The potential for improvement was then evaluated through a comparison of forecasting errors. Findings - First, among the five science museums with very similar characteristics, there was no clear indication of a decrease in the number of visitors to existing facilities due to the introduction of new facilities. Second, representing the attractiveness of tourist facilities using the facility size ratio can lead to significant prediction errors. Third, the impact of distance on demand can vary depending on the characteristics of the facility and the conditions of the area where the facility is located. Fourth, if the distance value is below 1, it is necessary to limit the range of that value to avoid having an excessively small value. Fifth, depending on the type of population data used, prediction results may vary, so it is necessary to use population data suitable for each latent market instead of simply using overall population data. Finally, if a clear trend is anticipated in a certain type of tourist behavior, incorporating this trend into the predicted values could help reduce prediction errors. Research implications or Originality - This study identified the key factors causing prediction errors by using national science museums as cases and proposed directions for improvement. Additionally, suggestions were made to apply the model more flexibly to enhance predictive accuracy. Since reducing prediction errors contributes to increased reliability of analytical results, the findings of this study are expected to contribute to policy decisions handled with more accurate information when running feasibility analyses.

호텔기업의 ABM이 ERP시스템만족과 다운사이징에 미치는 영향관계 (The Influence of Hotel Enterprise′s ABM on ERP System Satisfaction and Downsizing)

  • Hotel Enterprises are coping with changing circumstances by utilizing ABM and are downsizing for the sake of Innovation Results by setting up ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system. This study is intended to explore the correlations between Activity Based Management(ABM) of Strategic Management and ERP System Satisfaction, and the relations between ERP System Satisfaction and Downsizing. And through this, the methods of effective Strategic Management Development and efficient Downsizing will be suggested The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) to research the definition of Tourist Hotels' ABM (2) to examine the correlations between AMB and ERP system Satisfaction (3) to study the relations between ERP System Satisfaction and Downsizing Study Hypotheses, referring to preceeding study of Doo-jin Kong(2002) and DeLone & McLean, were set up to verify the Study Model. Data Analyses include the questionnaire survey of the Hotels using ERP system, reliability analysis, and regression analysis: for these analyses was used SPSS 10.0, the statistics package program. The conclusions show: First, ABM influences ERP System Satisfaction. Second, ERP System Satisfaction influences Downsizing. Therefore, ABM of Tourist Hotels needs to systematically take advantage of the Information Factors from ERP system and to maximize results by executing Downsizing through System development.

Impacts of Resource Perception of Residence Area on the Evaluation of Preferred Destination Abroad - Focusing on Personal Value and Lifestyle

  • Personal value and lifestyle have been regarded as the common factors in many studies of the destination selection. And the evaluations by visitors or tourists of certain destinations have been conducted in many respects. Based on those influential factors and measures from the review of the previous researches, this article considers the impact of residents' evaluation of the tourism resources in their own resident area on selecting destinations of their future overseas trips as well as their personal value and lifestyle. This article is aimed to reveal whether the impact exists, and if so, to what extent this impact can expand. According to the result, perception of tourism resources in residential area has impact on preferred destination, although its impact was relatively less than those of personal value and lifestyle. The more highly perceived the tourism resources are found, the more preferred tourist destination with abundant tourism attractions are. And the lowly perceived the cost of living in residential area is found, the more preferred the consumption-oriented tourist destinations are. It would be helpful for the product developers like travel agents or product marketers to know and predict the tendency of people s present evaluation of their areas and the future destination selection tendency for their trips.

관광특구 활성화를 위한 내수면 관광자원화 전략 -가치프레임 분석을 중심으로- (Strategies for the Development of Tourism Resources in the Inland Waters for the Revitalization of Special Tourist Zone - Focus on value frame analysis -)

  • In terms of coastal and marine tourism, Busan's Haeundae had the nation's representativeness, and is pushing for many kinds of related policies to revitalize the special tourism zone. Due to a drop in the number of beach users, it is inevitable for the Haeundae Special Tourist Zone to face active responses to new trends emerging in the global tourism market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present a tourism strategy for making the Suyeong River as a more competitive ourist resource along the zone. First, a language network analysis is conducted through interviews to understand the ideas of interest groups for the river cruise activation project. Second, the frame structure of stakeholders is used to analyze solutions by comparing the similarities and differences in recognition frames of interest groups. Third, we intend to analyze the detailed frame types of stakeholders and present new alternatives based on the structure of relationships between types.

2018평창동계올림픽 시설 사후활용에 대한 경제적 가치: 정선군 알파인 경기장을 사례로 (The Economic Value for the Post-use of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Facilities: Case of Alpine Stadium in Jeongseon)

  • Purpose - This study estimated the value of the post-use of Alpine stadium in Jeongseon as a tourist attraction, which is one of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics facilities, and identified determinant factors on the willingness to pay (WTP). Design/methodology/approach - A dichotomous-choice model of contingent valuation method (CVM) that is known for an effective tool was used to calculate the value. The questionnaire was conducted on 650 visitors to major tourist destinations in Jeongseon and 629 copies of the valid samples were analyzed. Findings - The results shows that determinate factors on the WTP are; suggestion cost, need (application of Ecotourism Program to the Restoration Process), agree(agree to Ecotourism Program in the Restoration Process) and age. Also, the WTP on the facility is 16,296 won per person. Research implications or Originality - This study estimates the value of the post-utilization of Alpine Stadium of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics facilities, which have been experiencing conflict in recent years. For this reason, the findings of the paper will provide meaningful information for tourism development and management policies of the region.

경기 북부지역의 관광자원으로서 향토음식에 대한 고찰 (A Report on Utilizing Local Food as Tourism Resource of Northern Gyong-gi Province)

  • Gyong-gi province has been the political, social, economical center of Korea since the three Kingdom period, Koryo, Chosun dynasty. As a result, the area enjoys abundant local food culture. However, due to the truce line going through the province, it was divided into northern and southern region. Development of the northern Gyong-gi province has been restricted because of security and defence reasons. So, even though it has kept abundant local food heritage compared to other regions. local food products have not been fully developed. Furthermore, as bed towns of Seoul and new towns are constructed in this region, traditional and local culture has been vanished gradually and the regional uniqueness is disappearing. This report focuses on identifying unique local foods of northern Gyong-gj province where tourist site development is limited and finding out how to utilize these as international tourism resource in the 21$\^$th/ century, the era of reunified Korea. Now, we need to seek ways to overcome the current difficulties and utilize the heritage of food culture and develop It in a form that suits the taste of modern consumers.

가상적 가치추정법(CVM)을 이용한 관광위락자원의 편익가치 분석 (Evaluation of Resource Value on Urban Park - Using Contingent Valuation Method -)

  • 본 연구는 가상적 가치추정법(contingent valuation method)을 이용하여 도시자연공원의 가치를 평가 분석하였다. 본 연구는 남산, 관악산 및 팔달산을 연구대상지로 선정하여 자원가치 즉, 가상적 가치추정방법(CVM)에 의해 인당 평균 보전가치액 및 자원의 전체 보전가치를 측정하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 대도시 자연공원 즉, 관악산, 남산, 그리고 팔달산의 자원가치는 각각 790원, 1,390원, 그리고 620원으로 나타났다. 인당 평균 보전가치에서는 남산이 타 공원보다 약 2배 정도 높았으며, 남산, 관악산 및 팔달산의 순으로 나타났다. 보전가치중 선택권가치, 존재가치, 그리고 유산가치의 비중을 살펴볼 때 선택권가치는 20%대, 존재가치는 30%대, 그리고 유산가치는 40%대의 비중을 보이고 있어 유산가치, 존재가치 그리고 선택권가치 순으로 나타났다.
