의료서비스를 이용한 외국인환자의 요소만족 및 체감만족이 재방문의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Factor Satisfaction and Experience Satisfaction in Foreign Medical Services on Revisit Intentions - Focused on Medical Institutions in Daegu Metropolitan City)

  • Objective: This study conducted an empirical research on foreign patients who had visited the medical institutions of Daegu region in order to identify the effects of the factor satisfaction and experience satisfaction with medical services on their revisit intentions. Methods: This study reviewed the existing studies on medical services to foreign patients with a main focus on medical tourism, and conducted the empirical research through a survey on foreign patients from the Russian, Chinese and English-speaking regions based on the Daegu Medical Tourism Promotion Institute's DB of foreign patients. The empirical research conducted a multiple regression analysis on factor satisfaction and experience satisfaction regarding return visit intentions. Results: The multiple regression analysis results showed that both the factor satisfaction and the experience satisfaction with medical services of foreign patients had positive effects on their return visit intentions, especially, with a relatively greater effect from the factor satisfaction. Specifically, it was found that factor satisfaction elements of 'friendliness of employees', 'good communication', and 'expertise of medical workers'; and experience satisfaction elements of 'reliability of medical information', 'efforts to minimize incompatibility towards foreigners', 'convenient access to medical information' and the like enhanced the return visit intentions. Conclusion: We discovered that, in the context of medical tourism activities, it is important to enhance factor satisfaction and experience satisfaction with medical services in order to promote return visits of the foreign patients who we once attracted. Especially, there are implications that reliability of medical information and efforts to minimize incompatibility towards foreigners enhance return visits of foreign patients.

철도관광정책 직무만족도 영향요인 연계성 분석 (A Study on the Influence Factor Relationship of the Railway Tourism Policy for Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 철도관광정책 직무만족도 영향요인을 분석하여 철도관광정책 직무만족도에 대한 제언을 제시할 목적으로 철도공사에 근무하는 350명의 직원들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 선행연구를 통하여 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 연구된 영향요인과 직무만족도가 철도현업 종사원의 개인적 속성에 의해 어떤 차이가 나타나는지를 검정하며, 대분류 요인(부분목표)과 소분류 요인(세부목표)간에 미치는 영향요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과 국가지원 부분목표는 기반시설 확충과 철도연계관광 효율성 제고 항목과 유의미한 관련이 있으며, 인적자원 확보 부분목표는 인재배출 교육기관의 필요성과 one-stop 인재확보 항목과 유의미한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 철도 관광 상품개발 부분목표는 관광객의 욕구충족상품 개발과 공동컨소시엄 개발과 유의미한 관련성이 있으며, 고정 관념적 사고의 전환 분분목표는 무사 안일주의사고 탈피와 수요예측전문성 발휘와 유의미한 관련성이 있는 것으로 조사되었다.

A Study on the Selection Attributes for Restaurant, Customer Satisfaction, and Recommendation Intention on Traveling Domestic Tourists: Targeting Tourists for Rail-ro Tickets

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the causal relationship among restaurant selection attributes and customer satisfaction and recommendation tastes for young people in their twenties who use tickets for Rail-ro. Data collection was conducted to utilize questionnaire survey with online and offline distribution. The collected data were analyzed using a statistical program SPSS 21.0 with frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis. The results of the study showed that Internet search is the most common source of information about restaurants during the trip, and restaurant choice attributes have an important impact on customer satisfaction, food quality, employee service and reputation, but hygiene did not have a big effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, customer satisfaction has a significant effect on recommendation intention. Concluding the results from this study, it investigated the significant attributes for customers selection of restaurants and provide meaningful advice for market managers to make useful marketing strategies to attract more clients and augment economic benefits.

일식레스토랑 메뉴품질에 대한 중요도와 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Importance and Satisfaction for the Menu Quality of Japanese Restaurant)

  • This study aimed to analyze the impact of importance and fulfillment(satisfaction) factors of menu quality on customers' intent of revisit of Japanese restaurants, so that it could provide information helpful to build up detailed marketing strategy and present considerations for management's higher sales amount and more efficient business results as well. Importance on menu quality scored higher level than fulfillment on the whole in Japanese restaurants. Notably, in regard to attributes of menu quality, it was found that respondents put higher stress on flavor, nutrition, cleanliness and freshness than anything else. In terms of IPA analysis on Japanese cuisine menu quality, it was noteworthy that the items with high importance but low fulfillment included menu price as an attribute for menu quality, although it was not shown in menu-specific items. In the survey on the associations between fulfillment(customer satisfaction) and intent of revisit, it was found that factors of customer satisfaction included 'trimness of dishes', 'information', 'appropriateness' and 'economic affordable' Out of these factors, it was noted that both 'trimness' and 'economic affordable' had significant effects on customer satisfaction at the significance level ranging from p<0.05 to p<0.001.

Classification and Evaluation of Service Requirements in Mobile Tourism Application Using Kano Model and AHP

  • Purpose The emergence of mobile applications has simplified our life in various ways. Regarding tourism activities, mobile applications are already efficient in providing personalized tourism related information and are very much effective in booking hotels, flights, etc. However, there are very few studies on classifying the actual service requirements and improving the customer satisfaction in mobile tourism applications. The purpose of this study is to implement a practical mobile tourism application. To serve the purpose, we classify and categorize the service requirement of mobile tourism applications in Korea. We employed Kano model and analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Specifically, we conducted a focus group study to find out the service requirements in mobile tourism applications. Design/methodology/approach The data for this study were collected from Koreans and Foreigners who has the experience using mobile tourism applications. Participants needed to be familiar with mobile tourism applications because such users may be more aware of the mobile tourism applications services. We analyzed 147 valid data using Kano model and conducted AHP analysis on five experts in the field of tourism using Expert Choice software. Findings In this paper, we identified the 17 service quality requirements in the mobile tourism applications. The results reveal that the service requirement such as Geo-location map, Multilingual option, Compatibility with different operating systems were unavoidable service, absent of such requirements leads to the dissatisfaction. Based on the results of the integrated application of both Kano model and AHP analysis, this study provide specific implications for improving the service quality of the mobile tourism applications in Korea.

Conceptual Framework for the Relationships among Job-Training Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction, and Turnover Intention in Foodservice Operations

  • The current study investigated the interrelationship among job-training satisfaction, job satisfaction, and turnover intention in foodservice operations. The findings suggested that the more satisfied employees were with their job training the more likely they were to be satisfied on their job. Furthermore, improving employees' job satisfaction led to lower turnover intention. However, job-training satisfaction by itself did not prove to have a negative relationship with turnover intention. Implications of the findings and future research are discussed.

여가.관광의 선택속성에 관한 연구 (A study on the Factors of Choice Properties of Leisure Tourism)

  • This study is concerned with the factors of choice properties of leasure tourism. The seven factors of choice properties can be identified. They are tourism convenience, tourism service, tourism characteristics, tourism image and tourism famousness. The choice properties of leisure tourism become significant depending upon population size and use type characteristics. Furthermore, tourism service, tourism image and tourism famousness need to be enforced strategically because the choice properties are largely influenced by revisits, mouth-to-mouth effects, satisfaction, etc. In conclusion, this study found that the choice properties determine the preference and purchasing activities in choosing leisure tourism destination. In addition, this study provides leisure tourism oriented marketing information to tourism business enterprises so that they can perceive major factors affecting to the choice properties.

Kano 모델을 적용한 의료관광교육서비스 품질개선에 관한 연구 (The Quality Improvement of Medical Tourism Education Service Applying Kano Model)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find a way to improve the quality of medical tourism education services in Korea. Methods: This study used a method of conducting a survey of students who have completed medical tourism education and customer satisfaction coefficient and potential customer satisfaction index were calculated by applying the Kano model. Results: The results of this study are as follows; First, Eight medical tourism education service quality factors were classified as an attractive quality attribute. Second, Thirteen medical tourism education service quality factors were classified as an one-dimensional quality attribute. Third, Online education operation factor was classified as an indifferent quality attribute. Fourth, Instructor quality factor and physical environment quality factor showed relatively high better and high worse coefficients. Finally, According to the PCSI index, it was found that the scope of improvement was the largest when focusing intensively on the quality factors of instructors. Conclusion: This study suggests strategic implications for nurturing excellent professional manpower through quality improvement of education services by identifying the quality factors of major medical tourism education services perceived by students.

패밀리 레스토랑의 서비스 품질에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Service Quality in Family Restaurant)

  • Although researchers have, during the past decade, become increasingly interested in customer satisfaction customer reaction, and service quality issues, very little of research has devoted to the family restaurant. Family restaurant industry is among the fastest growing sectors of the tourism market. This paper discusses the importance of the family restaurant product and service quality, and presents the relationship among service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer reaction. The literature supports the value of family restaurant's service quality and relation between service quality and customer reaction. Exploratory study examined customer's satisfaction with service quality components and customer's reaction with satisfaction. The survey was conducted in four phases; service quality, customer reaction(satisfaction, repurchase intention, and word of mouth), restaurant information, general profile of customer. The results of the study show that service quality(product's quality, physical character) provided family restaurant customer with the overall satisfaction, and service quality affected on customer reaction(repurchase intention, positive word of mouth). Also overall satisfaction affected on repurchase intention and positive word of mouth.

An Empirical Study on Job-Satisfaction of Tour Guide

  • This study examines which factors affect on Job-Satisfaction of Tour Guide in Korea, perceiving that Job-Satisfaction of Tour Guide affects customer satisfaction, and outcomes of business. In the tourism industry, Tour Guides are one of the most important factors influencing customer satisfaction, because they are one of the key front- line players. Ultimately, the purpose of this study is to present the importance of efficient management for human resources through investigating Job-Satisfaction of Tour Guide. To active purpose of this study, both literatures and empirical research based on Japanese, and Chinese Tour Guides in Korea were adopted and conducted. In conclusion, in order to improve psychological and behavioral outcomes of the Tour Guides, job satisfaction factors have to be improved in many ways and also travel managers should consider them.
