Four of the five tourism farms were within one hour travel, from these areas but it seemed impossible that they could be reached within one hour considering the actual road conditions and traffic. The natural and social suitability factors of a tourism farm were overlay-analyzed. The land of the first and second class that was considered to be suitable for a tourism farm was $17.12km^2$, which accounted for 1.38% of the entire area examined in the study and 11.50% of the entire agricultural land. The area that was evaluated to be suitable for a tourism farm will be able to attract new tourism farms in the future.

  • Settlement problems in rural area are gradually becoming more intense due to decreasing agricultural income led by market globalization. Rural tourism is considered as one of alternatives for complementing agricultural income. In this study, we analyzed the relation of rural development project and the influx of population on green tourism villages. Results show that the influx of population in rural area is related with project cost, tourism income, visiting numbers, and ratio of labor population. With these results, we modified rural population model for estimating future rural population. Adapted result to Buraemi village by modified model showed that estimation error can be decreased from 7.23% to 0.95%.

  • Taekwondo, Korean traditional martial art as one of the ten Korean cultural symbols, has acquired a reputation for introducing and globalizing Korean culture together with its standing as official Olympic Game in 2000, Sydney, Australia. Nevertheless the World Taekwondo Headquarters, Kukkiwon, which is an exclusive Taekwondo institution only accommodates for three thousand persons. Considering the worldwide reputation of Taekwondo, the scale of Kukkiwon leaves a big supply problem. This study therefore suggests the plan to design Taekwondo park that playa major role of Taekwondo development in the 21st century and represent the cultural heartland of Taekwondo. The study considers four points. The points are as follows: 1) Necessary programs drawn by analyzing and assessing Muju city as a site for Taekwondo park, then a survey conducted for potential visitors to a Taekwondo park. Under the theme of "A World Cultural Heritage Upon Our Own Lives", the park plan intends to become a shrine of Taekwondo as well as a big tourist attraction. 2) Programs are appropriate for the terms of the investment under the auspices of government, by considering potential visits and the site conditions. 3) The meaning of Taekwondo and its history should be reflected in the space distribution and facilities allotment. Three meaningful zones: symbolic zone, training zone and culture zone are considered in planning program and space distribution. 4) The plan also intends to harmonize with local development by groping Muju city's uplifting, not only designs a Taekwondo park.

  • Agricultural tourism is a new kind of industry, which combined agriculture with tourism. It not only has the productive function, but also has the function of improving the quality of ecological environment and supplying people with sightseeing, leisure, vacation. Agricultural tourism is a new kind of industry from the amalgamation of agriculture and tourism: it is based on farm work, characterized by agricultural management, combines agriculture and tourism, and includes the city as a market-place. It satisfies tourist demand with food, lodging, excursions, shopping and entertainment provided by agricultural places and agricultural products. After combining the substance of this study with the primary sources regarding the development of agricultural tourism, I suggest plans for the development of local agricultural tourism on the basis of sustainable tourism theory in case of the Inner Mongolia region. To conduct research, various data such as literature research and surveys are collected and analyzed. According to the result of the research, the Inner Mongolia region has great-wealthy resources for agricultural tourism. However, they have problems as well such as lack of funds, low infrastructure, low business-mind level, low management-mind, the scarcity of mid-supporting organizations for research and education, low awareness, and low service level of the agricultural tourism. In order to solve these problems, have to strengthen publicity, strengthen the county and city communication, educates continuously profession talented person, establish related laws and regulations, increase the integrity of infrastructure. As a developing industry, agricultural tourism is a new field of study which needs more encouraging research. The agricultural tourism of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has only just started development resulting in a limited amount of information available for this study. Future planned work entails a continuous in-depth study of Chinese agricultural tourism, considering Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in particular.

  • The growing literature on smart tourism and the increasing number of smart tourism initiatives demonstrate that the idea of smart tourism is captivating and that its potential is great. However, its concrete implementation so far has lacked the transformative focus called for by smart development principles. This paper suggests that conceptualizing smart tourism development as a utopian endeavor that requires critiquing the status quo and collective imagining of better tourism and good destinations could help smart tourism efforts transcend their instrumental, short-term, and fragmented character. It further introduces the concept of the Smart Tourism Mindset to propose that, as a utopian enterprise, smart tourism needs to be guided by specific values and traits that permeate actors at all levels. The paper concludes by calling for a greater focus on identifying what these values and traits are and how to best establish and communicate the Smart Tourism Mindset.

  • Competitiveness has been associated in the tourism literature as a crucial factor for the success of tourist destinations. This study is to develop indicators that measure destination competitiveness of rural tourism townships in Korea. It was conducted via a Delphi technique and the analytical hierarchy process method. After four rounds of discussions, the panel members reached consensus on a set of 27 indicators with three dimensions which are attractor (resource, infrastructure, and tourism products), assistance (tourism business assistance and value-added processing assistance), and planning and management (planning for development, capacity for management). This set of destination competitiveness indicators can serve as a starting point for devising a set of indicators at the local level in order to be useful rural tourism sector manager and administrators. The selected indicators are measurable, demand driven and practical to show the real performance in rural destination.
