Smart Closet based on Arduino MEGA (아두이노 메가 기반의 스마트 옷장)

  • Modern people have many kinds of clothes for individuals, and not just for storing clothes, but also for managing the condition of the closet, and users of smart closets created smart closets that provide daily convenience and optimal closet conditions, suggesting the possibility of developing smart furniture for various environments. In this developed system, smart closet is controlled using app inventor and touch LCD through bluetooth wireless communication, based on Arduino MEGA and user's clothes is recommended depending on the weather. In addition, this smart closet is designed with real-time weather status checking and easy ventilation function. It was implemented through the Arduino and app inventor program so that the weather can be printed on the LCD screen and the user's suitable clothes can be recommended to the application.

Design of Handwriting-based Text Interface for Support of Mobile Platform Education Contents (모바일 플랫폼 교육 콘텐츠 지원을 위한 손 글씨 기반 텍스트 인터페이스 설계)

  • This study proposes a text interface for support of language-based educational contents in a mobile platform environment. The proposed interface utilizes deep learning as an input structure to write words through handwriting. Based on GUI (Graphical User Interface) using buttons and menus of mobile platform contents and input methods such as screen touch, click, and drag, we design a text interface that can directly input and process handwriting from the user. It uses the EMNIST (Extended Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology database) dataset and a trained CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) to classify and combine alphabetic texts to complete words. Finally, we conduct experiments to analyze the learning support effect of the interface proposed by directly producing English word education contents and to compare satisfaction. We compared the ability to learn English words presented by users who have experienced the existing keypad-type interface and the proposed handwriting-based text interface in the same educational environment, and we analyzed the overall satisfaction in the process of writing words by manipulating the interface.

An Input Method for Decimal Password Based on Eyeblink Patterns (눈깜빡임 패턴에 기반한 십진 패스워드 입력 방법)

  • Password with a combination of 4-digit numbers has been widely adopted for various authentication systems (such as credit card authentication, digital door lock systems and so on). However, this system could not be safe because the 4-digit password can easily be stolen by predicting it from the fingermarks on the keypad or display screen. Furthermore, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, contactless method has been preferred over contact method in authentication. This paper suggests a new password input method based on eyeblink pattern analysis in video sequence. In the proposed method, when someone stands in front of a camera, the sequence of eyeblink motions is captured (according to counting signal from 0 to 9 or 9 to 0), analyzed and encoded, producing the desired 4-digit decimal numbers. One does not need to touch something like keypad or perform an exaggerated action, which can become a very important clue for intruders to predict the password.

  • In the fintech environment, Smart phones are mainly used for various service. User authentication technology is required to use safe services. Authentication is performed by transmitting authentication information to the server when the PIN or password is entered and touch the button completing authentication. But A post-attack is possible because the smudge which is the trace of using screen remains instead of recording attack with a camera or SSA(Shoulder Surfing Attack). To prevent smudge attacks, users must erase their fingerprints after authentication. In this study, we proposed a technique to determine whether to erase fingerprints. The proposed method performed erasing fingerprint which is the trace of touching after entering PIN and designed the security keypads that processes instead of entering completion button automatically when determined whether the fingerprint has been erased or not. This method suggests action that must erase the fingerprint when entering password. By this method, A user must erase the fingerprint to complete service request and can block smudge attack.

  • 우리나라 차량의 수는 매년 증가한다. 한 가구당 2대 이상의 차량을 가지고 있는 경우는 드물지 않다. 이는 도로의 포화를 발생시키고 교통사고의 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 안전성을 더욱 증가시키는 것을 전제로 아두이노를 이용한 초음파 센서와 라즈베리를 통한 블루투스 기술을 통해 LED 패널에 적용하고자 한다. 현재 많은 차량에는 후방 감지 센서와 차량 후방에서 다가오는 차량을 감지하는 센서 등을 사용하고 있다. 이 기술들은 운전자를 보호하는 장치이지만 모두 개인적으로 사용되는 장치이므로 다른 운전자를 보호하기 위한 장치가 필요하다. 또한, 이러한 시스템이 설치되어 있지 않은 차량이 많다. 추가로 설치하기 위해서 보다 큰 비용을 내야 하므로 적은 비용에 비해 큰 효율을 발생할 수 있는 가성비 좋은 장치가 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위해 버스에 장착된 LED 패널과 도로정비 차량 후방에 장착된 LED 패널에서 아이디어에 착안하여 '차량용 후방 안전 LED 패널' 기술을 제안한다. 기존에 글자를 이용해 단순히 의사소통이 가능한 LED 패널을 아두이노와 라즈베리 파이를 통해 사용자가 출력하고 싶은 문구를 실시간으로 출력하여 다른 운전자에게 정보를 전달할 수 있다.

Mobile Shooting Game with Intuitive UI and Recommendation function (직관적 UI와 추천 기능을 가진 모바일 슈팅 게임)

  • Mobile shooting games are a representative example of PC games being transferred as they are. In the most mobile shooting games, joystick-like UI used in PC games have been moved to touch buttons, but the display is small, so the user's fingers cover the game screen, which is inconvenient. In mobile shooting games, in order to overcome the limitations of the small display and increase the immersion of the game, this paper introduces a user interface that integrates character movement and aiming, and intuitive UIs such as display rotation, shaking, and vibration. In addition, by analyzing the match process for each round, the character's insufficient abilities are identified and synergies to supplement the abilities are recommended in order to add fun to the game. This paper proved that the proposed goals are achieved by actually designing and implementing a mobile shooting game with the proposed functions on an Android smartphone.

A Study on the Motion and Voice Recognition Smart Mirror Using Grove Gesture Sensor (그로브 제스처 센서를 활용한 모션 및 음성 인식 스마트 미러에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the development of a smart mirror that allows control of its display through glove gestures and integrates voice recognition functionality. The hardware configuration of the smart mirror consists of an LCD monitor combined with an acrylic panel, onto which a semi-mirror film with a reflectance of 37% and transmittance of 36% is attached, enabling it to function as both a mirror and a display. The proposed smart mirror eliminates the need for users to physically touch the mirror or operate a keyboard, as it implements gesture control through glove gesture sensors. Additionally, it incorporates voice recognition capabilities and integrates Google Assistant to display results on the screen corresponding to voice commands issued by the user.

  • Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is not just extensions of cloud concepts into mobile environments, but the service technologies that all mobile devices including smartphone can use the desired services by using cloud technology without the constraints of time and space. Currently, a lot of works on mobile cloud computing have been actively researching, whereas user interfaces are not so much researched. The main features and contributions of this paper are as follows. First, develop UI considering UX that is different from conventional interfaces supported by SPICE. Second, combine two button interface into one button interface when keyboard is used in mobile cloud computing clients. Third, develop a mouse interface suitable for mobile cloud computing clients. Fourth, in mobile cloud computing client, solve a problem that the selection of button/files/folder has at the corner. Finally, in mobile cloud computing clients we change mouse scroll mapping functions from volume button to scroll interface in touch-screen. The results of performance evaluation shows that users can input easily with the increased and fixed mouse interface. Since shortcut keys instead of the complex button keys of keyboard are provided, the input with 3-6 steps is reduced into 1 step, which can simply support complex keys and mouse input for users.

EMF (electromagnetic field strength)가 스퍼터된 ITO 박막의 초기 성장에 미치는 영향

  • Indium tin oxide (ITO)는 넓은 밴드갭을 가지는 n-type의 축퇴 반도체로 태양전지, 스마트윈도우, 터치 센서, organic light emitting displays (OLEDs) 등에 널리 적용된다. 최근 touch screen panels (TSPs)의 높은 전기적 특성 및 고해상도 요구에 따라 고품질 ITO 박막개발의 수요도 증가하는 추세이다. 지금까지 ITO 박막의 물성 및 기계적 특성에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔지만 ITO 초박막 에서의 근본적인 물성 변화에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이므로, 이러한 연구는 필수적이라 할 수 있다. ITO 초박막은 광학적 특성은 우수하나, 낮은 결정성으로 인해 전기적 특성이 나쁘다는 단점을 가지며, 이러한 ITO 박막의 결정성은 초기 박막 성장과정에 많은 영향을 받는다. ITO 박막의 초기성장과정은 핵이 생성된 후(nucleation), 각각의 위치에서 성장하게 되고(growth), 합쳐지면서(coalescence) 연속적인 막을 형성 하는데(continuous), 이러한 초기 박막 성장 과정 중에 핵 생성 밀도를 증가시키고 박막이 연속적으로 되는 두께를 감소시킨다면, 더욱 더 고품질의 ITO 초박막을 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 박막 초기 형성 과정 중 섬들이 합체되는 두께를 최소화시키기 위하여 EMF(electromagnetic field strength) 시스템을 이용하였다. EMF 시스템은 DC 캐소드에 전자석 코일을 장착하여 전자기장을 추가로 부가한 것으로, 이를 이용할 경우 스퍼터 원자가 중성상태로 기판에 도달하는 것이 아니라, 이온화되어 Vp-Vf의 차이로 가속되어 추가적인 에너지를 공급받음으로써 기판표면상에서 확산을 촉진시키므로 박막이 연속적으로 되는 임계 두께를 감소시킬 수 있는 것으로 기대된다. 실험은 실온에서 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터링법을 이용하였으며, 유리기판위에 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 nm의 두께로 ITO 박막을 제작하였다. 스퍼터링 파워는 150 W (3.29 W/cm3), 작업 압력은 0.13 Pa, 기판과 타깃 사이의 거리는 70 mm였다. 각각의 두께에서 EMF 파워 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 W로 인가하여 박막을 제작한 후, EMF 파워에 따른 ITO 박막의 초기 성장 과정중 표면상태를 AFM (atomic force microscope) 이미지를 통하여 관찰하였다. 또한, 두께 약 8 nm에서와 20 nm일 때의 전기적 특성 및 광학적 특성을 관찰하였으며, 두 박막 모두 EMF 파워 15 W를 인가하였을 때 그 특성이 가장 향상되는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 박막은 초기 성장이 중요하므로, 매우 얇은 두께에서 좋은 특성을 가진 박막을 제작하여야 박막의 두께를 증가시켰을 때도 좋은 특성의 막을 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, EMF 파워를 증가시킴에 따라 자장강도를 증가시키는 것과 같은 효과 즉, 플라즈마 임피던스가 감소하는 효과를 내어 증착 중 고 에너지 입자 (Ar0, O-)에 의한 박막손상이 감소한 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 적정 EMF 파워 15 W를 인가하였을때 가장 물성이 좋은 ITO 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. 즉, EMF 시스템을 이용하여 저온 공정에서 결함농도가 적은 고품질의 ITO 초박막을 제작할 수 있었다.

Chromaticity(b*), Sheet Resistance and Transmittance of SiO2-ITO Thin Films Deposited on PET Film by Using Roll-to-Roll Sputter System (롤투롤시스템을 이용하여 PET 필름위에 제조된 SiO2-ITO 박막의 색도(b*), 면저항과 투과도 연구)

  • This paper has relatively high technical standard and experimental skill. The fabrication of TCO film with high transparency, low resistance and low chromaticity require exact control of several competing factors. This paper has resolved these problems reasonably well, thus recommended for publication. Indium tin oxide(ITO) thin films were by D.C. magnetron roll-to-roll sputter system utilizing ITO and $SiO_2$ targets of ITO and $SiO_2$. In this experiment, the effect of D.C. power, winding speed, and oxygen flow rate on electrical and optical properties of ITO thin films were investigated from the view point of sheet resistance, transmittance, and chromaticity($b^*$). The deposition of $SiO_2$ was performed with RF power of 400W, Ar gas of 50 sccm and the deposition of ITO, DC power of 600W, Ar gas of 50 sccm, $O^2$ gas of 0.2 sccm, and winding speed of 0.56m/min. High quality ITO thin films without $SiO_2$ layer had chromaticity of 2.87, sheet resistivity of 400 ohm/square, and transmittance of 88% and $SiO_2$-doped ITO Thin film with chromaticity of 2.01, sheet resistivity of 709 ohm/square, and transmittance of more than 90% were obtained. As a result, $SiO_2$ was coated on PET before deposition of ITO, their chromaticity($b^*$) and transmittance were better than previous results of ITO films. These results show that coating of $SiO_2$ induced arising chromaticity($b^*$) and transmittance. If the thickness of $SiO_2$ is controlled, sheet resistance value of ITO film will be expected to be better for touch screen. A four point probe and spectrophotometer are used to investigate the properties of ITO thin films.
