LNG 인수기지용 냉열발전 시스템 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of the Cold Power Generation Systems for LNG Terminal)

  • LNG의 기화열(냉열)은 NG액화시 소모된 동력으로서 생산된 NG의 약 14%에 달한다. 평택 인수기지의 경우 '93도입물량 기준으로 냉열량은 96MW에 달한다. 냉열을 이용하여 전력을 생산하는 방안으로, 저온 엑서지를 활용하는 Rankine 사이클, 압력 엑서지를 이용한 부분직접 팽창 사이클 및 이 두 사이클의 혼합 사이클인 Linde공정 냉열발전시스템의 성능을 비교연구하였다. 시뮤레이션은 ASPEN Plus를 이용하여 수행하였으며 현재 인수기지에서 운영되고 있는 각종 설비들의 설계데이타를 이용하였다. 시스템별 출력은 약 3∼6MW였으며 최적운전조건의 엑서지 효율은 37%로 계산되었다. 또한 부분직접팽창방식의 최적 시스템을 제시하였고 열교환기의 총 면적이 동일 할 경우 부분직접팽창과 랭킨사이클의 성능은 비슷한 것으로 확인되었다.

Hull-form optimization of KSUEZMAX to enhance resistance performance

  • This paper deploys optimization techniques to obtain the optimum hull form of KSUEZMAX at the conditions of full-load draft and design speed. The processes have been carried out using a RaPID-HOP program. The bow and the stern hull-forms are optimized separately without altering neither, and the resulting versions of the two are then combined. Objective functions are the minimum values of wave-making and viscous pressure resistance coefficients for the bow and stern. Parametric modification functions for the bow hull-form variation are SAC shape, section shape (U-V type, DLWL type), bulb shape (bulb height and size); and those for the stern are SAC and section shape (U-V type, DLWL type). WAVIS version 1.3 code is used for the potential and the viscous-flow solver. Prior to the optimization, a parametric study has been conducted to observe the effects of design parameters on the objective functions. SQP has been applied for the optimization algorithm. The model tests have been conducted at a towing tank to evaluate the resistance performance of the optimized hull-form. It has been noted that the optimized hull-form brings 2.4% and 6.8% reduction in total and residual resistance coefficients compared to those of the original hull-form. The propulsive efficiency increases by 2.0% and the delivered power is reduced 3.7%, whereas the propeller rotating speed increases slightly by 0.41 rpm.

PVDF/h-BN hybrid membranes and their application in desalination through AGMD

  • A new procedure to produce poly(vinylidene fluoride)/boron nitride hybrid membrane is presented for application in membrane distillation (MD) process. The influence of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) incorporation on the performance of the polymeric membranes is studied through the present investigation. For this aim, h-BN nanopowders were successfully synthesized using the simple chemical vapor deposition (CVD) route and subsequent solvent treatments. The resulting h-BN nanosheets were blended with poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) solution. Then, the prepared composite solution was subjected to phase inversion process to obtain PVDF/h-BN hybrid membranes. Various examinations such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), wettability, permeation flux, mechanical strength and liquid entry pressure (LEP) measurements are performed to evaluate the prepared membrane. Moreover, Air gap membrane distillation (AGMD) experiments were carried out to investigate the salt rejection performance and the durability of membranes. The results show that our hybrid PVDF/h-BN membrane presents higher water permeation flux (${\sim}18kg/m^2h$) compared to pristine PVDF membrane. In addition, the experimental data confirms that the prepared nanocomposite membrane is hydrophobic (water contact angle: ${\sim}103^{\circ}$), has a porous skin layer (>85%), as well competitive fouling resistance and operational durability. Furthermore, the total salt rejection efficiency was obtained for PVDF/h-BN membrane. The results prove that the novel PVDF/h-BN membrane can be easily synthesized and applied in MD process for salt rejection purposes.

1단 축류 가스터빈내 동익의 허브면에 장착된 경계층 펜스의 효과에 대한 수치 해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis on Effects of the Boundary Layer Fence Equipped on the Hub of Rotor in the First Stage Axial Flow Gas Turbine)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the three-dimensional turbulence flow characteristics of a rotor passage of an one-stage axial flow gas turbine and to investigate the effects of a boundary layer fence installed on the hub endwall of the rotor passage. Secondary flows occurring within the rotor passage (e.g. horseshoe vortex, passage vortex, and cross flow) cause secondary loss and reduce turbine efficiency. To control these secondary flows, a boundary layer fence measuring half the height of the thickness of the inlet boundary layer was installed on the hub endwall of the rotor passage. This study was performed numerically. The results show that the wake and secondary flows generated by the stator reduced the rotor load to constrain the development of cross flow and secondary flow reinforced by the rotor passage. In addition, the secondary vortices occurring within the rotor passage were reduced by the rotation of the rotor. Although, the boundary layer fence induced additional vortices, giving rise to an additional loss of turbine, its presence was shown to reduce the total pressure loss when compared to effects of the case without fence regardless of the relative position of blades by enervating secondary vortices occurred within the rotor passage.

종합병원 진단검사의학과 검사실의 시설 설비 현황 조사 - 550 병상 이상 종합병원을 중심으로 (A Study on the Facility and Equipment of Laboratory Medicine in General Hospital - Focused on more than 550 bed sized hospitals)

  • Purpose: Though Korean healthcare services have been upgraded, infection and fire had been broken out in general hospitals. And higher concerns about quality assessment made it to clinical laboratory design guideline studies. So, this study investigates the facilities, equipment and personnel of laboratory medicine focusing on more than five hundred fifty bed hospital, and contributes to make guidelines for safety and efficiency in lab. Methods: Questionnaires to supervisor technologist and field surveys to medical laboratories in korean hospitals have been conducted for the data collection. 16 answers have been analysed statistically by MS Excel program. Results: Most of the sample tests such as hematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, transfusion, urinalysis, microbiology and molecular diagnosis are performed by more than 80% in large sized general hospital laboratory. In the test methods, automatic analyzers are used up to 80%, total laboratory automation up to 43% in clinical chemistry and immunology, and manual tests in all sorts of the test. There are placed in single lab or two and three labs above the ground, which are all in semi-open lab. There is some correlation with the number of specimens and the number of lab people depending on the number of hospital beds. Laboratory environment shows that work distance is good, but evacuation path width, visibility, separation of staff area from automatic analyzer, and equipment installations are needed to have more spaces and gears. Most of the infection controls are equipped with mechanical ventilation, air-conditioning, washbasin and wastewater separation, BSC installation and negative pressure lab room. Implications: Although the laboratory space area is calculated considering the number of hospital beds, type of tests and number of staff, hospital's expertise and the samples numbers per year should be taken into account in the planning of the hospital.

이론성능해석에 의한 메탄/산소 이원추진제 소형로켓엔진의 예비형상설계 (A Preliminary Configuration Design of Methane/Oxygen Bipropellant Small-Rocket-Engine through Theoretical Performance Analysis)

  • 이론성능해석을 통하여 메탄/산소 이원추진제 소형로켓엔진의 형상설계에 필요한 설계인자들을 도출하였다. 로켓엔진의 이론성능 분석을 위해 CEA를 이용하였고, 추력실 내부의 화학반응을 화학평형 상태로 가정하여 엔진의 형상설계에 필요한 최적의 추진제 혼합비, 특성길이, 최적 팽창비 등을 도출하였다. 인젝터의 경우, 미립화 성능이 우수하고, 다른 인젝터 형상에 비해 연소효율이 높은 스월 동축 인젝터를 설계하였다. 노즐형상은 80%의 길이를 갖는 벨형 노즐을 설계하였고, 추력실 내부압력 1.72 MPa, 총 추진제 질량유량 0.18 kg/s, O/F ratio 2.7일 때의 지상연소시험용 로켓엔진의 형상설계 결과를 제시한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 가스터빈 유로의 공력열환경을 개선시키기 위해서 비축대칭 끝벽과 끝벽 경계층 판의 형상 최적화를 수행하였다. 터빈 유로 모사를 위해 $90^{\circ}$ 곡관을 이용하였다. 본 연구는 터빈 유로에서의 전압력 손실과 유로 끝벽에서의 열전달 계수를 최소화하기 위한 비축대칭 끝벽과 끝벽 경계층 판의 형상을 찾는 것이다. 최적화 과정의 효율성을 위해 근사 최적화 방식을 사용하였다. 최적화된 비축대칭 끝벽과 끝벽 경계층 판을 통해, 상당한 공력열환경 개선을 확인할 수 있었다.

화장실 안전손잡이 위치에 따른 앉은 자세에서 일어서기 비교 (A Comparison of Sit-to-Stand Performance Based on Toilet Grab Bar Positions)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the optimal positions of safety grab bars for effective sit-to-stand (STS) movement by comparing the results of the STS movement while using a safety grab bar installed under two different conditions: the height of the grab bar installation was determined by (1) the Building Act and (2) the principle of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). Methods: A total of 50 undergraduate students participated in this study, and they were required to perform an STS movement twice under each condition. A baropodometric platform for sitting and a Biorescue (RM Ingenierie, France) were used to collect and analyze changes in the center of pressure (COP) on the left and right sides before and after performing the STS movement. The average completion time for the STS movement was also measured for analysis. Moreover, the participants were asked to express their individual subjective preferences regarding the two positions of the grab bars. Results: The COP changes were significantly smaller when performing the STS movement with the grab bar installed at the height determined by the PNF principle than the Building Act (p<0.01), and the difference in the completion time of the STS movement was not statistically significant between the two conditions. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that the principle of PNF can be useful for planning therapeutic exercise as well as for proposing the optimal grab bar position for older adults and those with health-related issues when performing the STS movement. In addition, this may serve as a basic rehabilitation technique for maintaining remaining functions and providing functional efficiency.

밸런스 바가 장착된 레이싱 스펙 브레이크 페달의 경량화 구조 해석을 통한 융합연구 (A Convergence Study through Structural Analysis for Lightweight of Brake Pedal for Racing Spec Installed with Balance Bar)

  • 본 연구에서는 4가지 모델의 밸런스 바가 장착되어 있는 레이싱 스펙의 브레이크 페달에 대한 경량화 구조해석을 수행하였다. 강과 알루미늄 합금 2개의 소재를 이용하여 4개의 형상들에 대하여 해석을 진행하였다. 일반적으로 사람이 자동차에 승차했을 때 발생할 수 있는 힘의 크기를 1000N이라 가정한다. 고정점은 볼트와 페달이 고정되는 부분과 마스터실린더의 압력이 상승해 작동이 멈추었을 때 Rod를 통하여 전달되는 응력을 받는 밸런스 바 장착 부분으로 지정하였다. 본 해석 연구를 통하여 각 브레이크 페달 모델의 취약점을 조사하고 브레이크 페달의 전달 효율성을 경량화에 의하여 증가할 수 있다고 사료된다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 얻은 브레이크 페달의 내구성 있는 설계데이터를 활용함으로서 실생활에서의 자동차 부품에 융합하여 그 미적 감각을 나타낼 수 있다.

S-형 노즐 형상의 중심선 형태에 따른 차폐율과 추력 성능 해석 (Shield Ratio and Thrust Performance Analysis According to The S-Type Nozzle of The Centerline Shape)

  • 본 연구에서는 중심선 방정식 선정에 따른 노즐 성능 영향성을 확인하고자 하였다. 곡선 방정식과 설계 형상 파라미터를 활용하여 S-형 노즐 3조와 Double S-형 노즐 3조를 설계하였고 노즐 차폐 성능은 차폐율 정의를 이용하여 평가하였다. 그리고 내부 유동을 분석하기 위해 속도 분포도와 압력분포도로 특성을 연구하였고, 노즐 성능 계수로는 총 추력 비(f)와 노즐 단열 효율계수(η)를 통해 노즐의 성능을 평가하였다. 중심선에 따른 S-형 노즐의 성능 영향성을 분석한 결과 출구에서 급격한 곡률 변화가 있는 중심선은 노즐 성능이 우수한 반면 차폐율이 낮은 특징이 있다. 반면에 입구에서 급격한 곡률 변화가 있는 중심선은 노즐 성능이 낮아지고 차폐율이 높은 특징이 있다. Double S-형 노즐은 첫 번째 곡률에서 완만한 특징을 보이는 중심선을 사용하는 것이 노즐 성능과 차폐율이 우수하였다.
