보의 변형능력에 미치는 전단과 부착응력의 영향 (Influence of Shear and Bond on Deformation Capacity of RC Beams)

  • Deformability of RC members in shear is controlled by governing failure modes and material strength. Shear strength of members in D-regions has been explained by a direct load path (direct strut or arch action) and indirect load path (fan action or truss action). Indirect load path including truss action and fan action rely on bond along tension ties. Generally, superposition of two actions results in total shear strength when shear failure modes control. The ultimate deformation depends on controlling failure modes and thereby, their force transfer patterns. Proposed models are capable of explaining of limited deformability of RC members in D-regions.

  • In this study, crush characteristics of thin-walled rectangular tube is investigated. The stiffness of the element is obtained from analytical moment-rotation relationship and approximated load-deflection relationship of thin-walled rectangular tube. A computer program is developed for the large deformation analysis of frame. An incremental displacement method is used in the program and at each incremental stage, the stiffness matrix of the total structure is checked with the state each element for bending and compression.

  • The seismic behaviors of steel moment connections are investigated based on the numerical analysis of the connections with US and Japanese typical details. The rupture index, representing the fracture potential, is used to evaluate the ductility of the connections at the critical location. The results show that the presence of a slab increases the beam strength, imposes constraint near the beam top flange, and consequently, induces concentrated deformation near the beam access hall, which reduces the ductility of the connection. The total deformation capacity of the connection depends not only on a beam but also on a column and panel zone.

노면에 접촉된 자동차 타이어의 응력 해석 (Stress Analysis of Automotive Tire at Contact on Road Surface)

  • This study is analyzed by stress contour of automotive tire at contact on road surface. Maximum equivalent stress as 61200Pa is shown on the lower mid part in case of tire contacted on road surface. As the air pressure of tire increases, maximum total deformation as 5mm is shown on the side part of tire. It can be shown that the side part of tire is unstabilized. There is no load effect on tire at its upper and lower directions. When the moment applied on the side of tire is increased 1.4 times as its value, the value of maximum principal stress is increased 1.4 times. The stress at the tire is in proportion to the moment applied on the its side. The tire tends to incline toward its side by this moment.

  • The automotive front bumper guard is the most important part of the vehicle for protecting the life of driver when a traffic accident happens. In order to ensure safe driving, this part must possess sufficient strength and durability. This study was carried out with structural and fatigue analyses by designing front bumper guard models. After the lowest value for maximum total deformation and equivalent stress was found through structural analysis and the highest value for fatigue life was found for all three models, it was shown that the type C front bumper guard model was the most suitable for application to a real car. The strength property and durability of the optimum design were determined through this study's results.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 38인승 승강기 제동장치의 설계 및 유한요소해석이다. 최근 승강기의 안전성이 부각되면서 비상 제동장치의 필요성이 높아졌으며 이에 따라 새로 개발된 제동장치의 안전성을 확인하기 위하여 Solid Works를 활용하여 모델링 하였으며 유한요소해석 코드인 ANSYS를 활용하여 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과로서 총변형량, 응력, 변형률을 구하였다.

  • 산업현장에서 사용되고 있는 기존의 밸브 수압측정기는 압력조절을 수동으로 제어함으로서 정확한 압력측정을 할 수 없는 불편함이 있었다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 기존의 밸브 수압측정기에 대하여 자동설계 프로그램인 CATIA를 활용하여 설계하고 3차원 유한요소 해석코드인 ANSYS를 활용하여 설계된 밸브 수압측정기에 대하여 구조해석을 수행하고 내부압력에 따른 내부누수, 응력, 변형률, 총변형량 등을 구하였다. 이러한 결과는 새로운 밸브 수압측정기를 개발하기 위한 기초자료로 활용할 계획이다.

Impact Energy Absorption Mechanism of Largely Deformable Composites with Different Reinforcing Structures

  • Impact behaviors of the large deformable composites of Kevlar fiber reinforced composites of different preform structures have been investigated. An analytic tool was developed to characterize the impact behavior of the Kevlar composites. The image analysis technique, and deply technique were employed to develop energy balance equation under impact loading. An energy method was employed to establish the impact energy absorption mechanism of Kevlar multiaxial warp knitted composites. The total impact energy was classified into four categories including delamination energy, membrane energy, bending energy and rebounding energy under low velocity impact. Membrane and bending energy were calculated from the image analysis of the deformed shape of impacted specimen and delamination energy was calculated using the deplying technique. Also, the impact behavior of Kevlar composites under high velocity impact of full penetration of the composite specimen was studied. The energy absorption mechanisms under high velocity impact were modelled and the absorbed energy was classified into global deformation energy, shear-out energy, deformation energy and fiber breakage energy. The total energy obtained from the model corresponded reasonably well with the experimental results.

초미립자 살포기의 설계 및 구조개선 (Design and Structure Improvement of Ultra Low Volume Sprinkler)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 액체 살포시 사용되는 초미립자 살포기에 대하여 SolidWorks를 이용하여 설계하고 3차원 유한요소해석 코드인 ANSYS를 활용하여 해석하였다. 해석결과로서 응력, 변형률과 전체 변형량을 구하였고 이를 활용하여 초미립자 살포기의 구조를 개선하였으며 이러한 방법은 생산성 향상과 설계기간을 단축할 수 있다.

세척기의 구조개선 및 신제품 개발 (Structure Improvement and New Product Development of Cleaning Machine)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 세척기를 구조 변경하여 새로운 세척기를 개발하는데 있다. 세척 성능을 향상시킨 세척기 개발을 위하여 기존의 세척기 구조를 변경하여 설계하였다. 설계 시 프로그램은 CATIA를 사용하였으며 구조해석에 필요한 모델링도 CATIA를 사용하였다. 또한 모델링된 세척기에 대하여 3차원 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ANSYS를 사용하여 구조해석을 실시하였으며 해석결과로서 총변형량, 응력, 변형률을 구하였다. 이러한 구조해석의 결과는 새로운 세척기의 제품개발에 활용되었다.
