  • In this paper, the performance analysis of the vehicle with the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission has been carried out using information of engine and drivetrain. It is necessary to understand the overall system including engine, torque converter, clutch, planetary gears, and road load. The equations of motion are derived from dynamic model. The GUI computer simulation program has been developed to analyze the powertrain performance of the vehicle with the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission.

High performance switched reluctance drives with wide field weakening range

  • For electrical vehicles, switched reluctance drives present a promising alternative-compared to asynchronous and synchronous (permanent magnet) concepts. For these applications, a very wide field weakening range is a key issue. Other requirements include high torque output from a small machine and low current ripple at the DC-side without the use of bulky filters - when powered from fuel cells or advanced Lithium-Ion-batteries. A new converter and control strategy according to these requirements is presented and compared to existing designs. The comparison is done for a drive system with a continuous power rating of 30 to 40 kW.

Characteristics of induction motor by changing the second exciting E.M.F. (2차 격자기전력에 의한 유도전동기의 특성)

  • It is well known that the speed of induction motor can be controlled in wide range by changing the second exciting e.m.f. of rotor circuit, but that is well not practised because of its complicated system. In order to simplify such a system, the Kramer system of which silicon rectifier substitutes for synchronous converter has analyzed in this paper. The result of this investigation show that in this system, only the equivlent synchronous speed it changed by second exciting e.m.f., but the mechanical output power, torque and power factor is not changed, and that this system is able to compensate the regulated speed on account of the load changed.

  • This paper is a studying of the vector control of AC servo motor using a high performance DSP(TMX320F2812). This DSP has many special peripheral circuits to drive a AC Servo motor as AD converter, QEP and so on. It makes us reduce the time of developing a control system and also can be simple size controller. We use vector control algorithm for instantaneous torque control and SVPWM algorithm by offset voltage methods.

  • 영구자석 동기전동기(PMSM)를 제어 하기 위해서는 정확한 회전자 위치 검출장치가 필요하다. 일반적으로 위치 검출을 위한 장치로는 엔코더와 레졸버가 사용된다. 정확한 회전자의 위치를 검출하기 위해서는 엔코더보다 레졸버를 사용하게 되는데 레졸버를 사용하기 위해서는 RDC(Resolver-to-Digital Converter)가 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 RDC회로를 사용하지 않고 회전자의 위치 검출을 위한 인터페이스를 구상하였고 RDC회로를 사용하지 않아도 동일 한 성능을 보인다는 것을 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • This purpose of this paper is to perform the readhesion control algorithm of the urban railway traction. A study on readhesion control algorithm is done for the adhesion system. This system has all characteristics of the voltage source converter by a process ability to regenerate power. The traction motor is controlled by IGBT inverter. The test equipment composes traction motor, torque-meter, clutch, and a tubular type of interia mass.

The windturbine system use PMSG(ermanent Magnet Synchronous Generator) system considering low maintenance costs and driving performance at low wind.   • The paper introduces a switched reluctance motor drive system based on an 80C31 and an Intel 80C 196KB single-chip microprocessor control. Advance schemes are used in turn-on and turn-off angles with the power converter's main switches during traction and regenerative braking. The principles of traction speed control and braking torque control are given. The hardware and software patterns in the 80c31 and the Intel 80C196KB single-chip microprocessor control system are also presented.

  • In this paper, the Load Current Observer Design for 3-phase Voltage Type PWM Converter with DC Meter Load. The sinusoidal input current and unity input power factor are realised based on the estimated source voltage performed by the Load Current Observer using actual currents and DC link voltage.
