Gain Scheduled Control for Disturbance Attenuation of Systems with Bounded Control Input - Application to Stabilization Control (제어입력 크기제한을 갖는 시스템에서 외란 응답 감소를 위한 이득 스케쥴 제어 - 안정화 제어 응용)

  • In this paper, the gain-scheduled control design proposed in the previous paper has been applied to a target tracking system. In such system, it is needed to attenuate disturbance effectively as long as control input satisfies the given constraint on its magnitude. The scheduled gains are derived in the framework of linear matrix inequality(LMI) optimization by means of the MatLab toolbox. Its effectiveness is verified along with the simulation results compared with the conventional optimum constant gain and the scheduled gain control with constant Q matrix cases.

  • In this paper, the gain scheduled state feedback and disturbance feedforward control design proposed in the previous paper has been applied to a simple matching system and a turret stabilization system. In such systems, it is needed to attenuate disturbance response effectively as long as control input satisfies the given constraint on its magnitude.   • A three-dimensional multidirectional nonlinear numerical wave tank (NWT) based on the Navier-Stokes equations and the Finite Volume Method (FVM) is developed by using the two-phase hydrodynamic flow solver naoe-FOAM-SJTU based on the open source toolbox OpenFOAM. The free surface is capturing with the Volume Of Fluids (VOF). The directional wave including Stokes wave, solitary wave and nonlinear wave are simulated and verified. The multi-directional waves are also simulated with particular wave spectral such as JONSWAP and wave directional spreading function. The obtained numerical results show the capability of the solver to generate different type of multidirectional nonlinear waves accurately. Meanwhile, it implies that the presented NWT can easily extend to model the wave-structures interactions, which will be great help to the offshore structures design.

  • Loop system arrangement in the primary distribution system has been increased for higher reliability of power supply to the customer. This paper presents a new fault calculation method for the loop structured unbalanced distribution feeders. Mathematical modeling method of the distribution system and superposition principal based fault calculation procedures are provided. In order to establish feasibility of the proposed method, various case studies have been performed using Matlab power system toolbox.

  • This paper proposes an improved fault indication algorithm in a distribution automation system. A conventional fault indication method, so called YES-NO algorithm, could generate wrong informations under certain conditions such as line to ground fault, large motor double circuit line. In order to prevent mal-operation of fault indicator, direction of fault current are used as well as magnitude. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm has been testified by computer simulation using Matlab power system toolbox.

  • This paper considers a GPS anti-spoofing problem. Spoofing is an intentional interference that mislead the GNSS receiver. The spoofing attack is very significant since the target receiver is not aware of being attacked from spoofing. Accelerometers can be used to detect the spoofing signal by being compared with the acceleration obtained from GPS information using Kalman filter. In this paper we propose an N by N-point average and M-point window algorithm to detect GPS spoofing by using accelerometers and GPS outputs. The performance of the proposed algorithm is analyzed using actual vehicle trajectory and spoofing trajectory generated from INS and GPS toolbox for simulation.

Development of computational software for flutter reliability analysis of long span bridges

  • The flutter reliability analysis of long span bridges requires use of a software tool that predicts the uncertainty in a flutter response due to uncertainties in the model formulation and input parameters. Existing flutter analysis numerical codes are not capable of dealing with stochastic uncertainty in the analysis of long span bridges. The goal of the present work is to develop a software tool (FREASB) to enable designers to efficiently and accurately conduct flutter reliability analysis of long span bridges. The FREASB interfaces an open-source Matlab toolbox for structural reliability analysis (FERUM) with a typical deterministic flutter analysis code. The paper presents a brief introduction to the generalized first-order reliability method implemented in FREASB and key steps involved in coupling it with a typical deterministic flutter analysis code. A numerical example concerning flutter reliability analysis of a long span suspension bridge with a main span of 1385 m is presented to demonstrate the application and effectiveness of the methodology and the software.

  • In this paper, we present a way that can implement the vector control Algorithm of induction motor and PWM signal generation on the basis of Matlab Simulink environment. The overall system model is designed by Simulink toolbox for vector control of induction motor, and then implement experiment with the DS1103 board of dSPACE. Although we are not coding the system, it is capable of doing simulation and experiment simultaneously. That is why Matlab and dSPACE board compiler can generate the '*.c' and '*.obj' files on the designed system automatically. After considering about hardware structure and driving system in Ds1103 board we verify the availability of Proposed method through in a comparison/analysis between simulation and experiment.

  • This paper describes the strategy of a daily optimal operational scheduling on cogeneration systems with each other generation mode. The cogeneration systems consists of three generators. auxiiiary devices which are three auxiliary boilers, two waste boilers and three sludge incinerators. One unit that using the back pressure turbin generates the electrical and the thermal energy. The other two units that using the extraction condensing turbine generate the energy. Auxiliary devices operate to supplement the thermal energy to the thermal load with three units. The cogeneration system has a large capacity which is able to supply enough the thermal energy to the thermal load, however the electric power generated is insufficient to satisfy the electrical load. Therefore the insufficient electric energy is supplemented by buying electrical energy from the utility. Simulation was carried out using optimization toolbox. The result reveals that the proposed modeling and strategy can be effectively applied to cogeneration systems with each other generation mode.

  • 유한요소법은 전자기, 기계, 또는 다른 공학 분야에서 다루는 풀기 어려운 복잡한 문제들을 해석하는데 널리 사용되고 있는 수치해석기법이다. CEMTool은 MATLAB과 유사한 과학기술 범용 패키지로서, 간편한 명령어 방식의 문법과 블록 다이어그램 설계, 이공학 전반의 함수 등의 다양한 기능들을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 범용 공학 소프트웨어인 CEMTool 환경에서 실행되는 GUI 3D FEM 패키지에 대해 기술한다. FEM 해석의 일반적 단계인 전처리, 솔버, 후처리 단계별로 나누어 각 단계의 구조와 특징 등을 기존의 CEMTool 2D FEM 패키지, MATLAB PDE Toolbox, FEMLAB2.2와 비교하여 자세히 살펴보기로 한다.
