진동 신호를 이용한 캠 프로파일 CNC 연삭기의 실험적 평가에 관한 연구 (A study on the Experimental Evaluation for the Cam Profile CNC Grinding Machine using Vibration Signals)

  • A earn profile grinding machine is a mandatory machine tool for manufacture of high precision contoured cam. Experimental evaluation of modal analysis is an effective tool to investigate dynamic behavior of a machine. This paper presents the measurement system and experimental investigation on the modal analysis of a grinding machine. The weak part of the machine is found by the experimental evaluation. The results provide structure modification data for good dynamic behaviors. And safety of the machine was confirmed by the modal analysis of modified machine design. Finally, the cam profile grinding machine was successfully developed.

CAE를 이용한 자동차용 부품(Gear Box)의 주조방안 설계에 대한 사례연구 (Case Study for Casting Design of Automobile Part(Gear Box) Using CAE)

  • When manufacturing die casting mold, generally, the casting layout design should be considered based on the relation among injection system, casting condition, gate system, and cooling system. Also, the extent or the location of product defects was differentiated according to the various relations of the above conditions. In this research, in order to optimize casting design of an automobile part (Gear Box) Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) was performed by using the simulation software (Z Cast). The simulation results were analyzed and compared with experimental results. During the mold filling, internal porosities caused by air entrap were predicted and reduced remarkably by the modification of the gate system and the configuration of overflow. With the solidification analysis, internal porosities caused by the solidification shrinkage were predicted and reduced by the modification of the gate system. For making a better production die casting tool, cooling systems on several thick areas are proposed in order to reduce internal porosities caused by the solidification shrinkage.

충돌해석을 통한 방호울타리의 설계 (Design of a Protection Fence by Crashworthiness Analysis)

  • In this study, designs of protection fences such as the concrete median barrier and the guardrail were performed. The foreign standard of concrete median barrier was introduced and implemented without modification fitting to domestic vehicles and highway conditions. In a car accident, median barrier doesn't protect vehicles effectively, especially for heavy vehicles such as bus and heavy truck. Guardrail doesn't protect vehicle effectively, either. The purpose of this study is to develop the optimal performance design of concrete median barrier and design of guardrail using the design of experiment as well as crashworthiness analysis which is done by Pam-Crash. As a result of this study, an optimal design of concrete median barrier was obtained considering von Mises stress, volume and COG acceleration of truck. And design of guardrail satisfying the domestic requirements was obtained.

  • The median barrier is one of the roadside hardware to prevent severe human and property damage from highway traffic accidents. The foreign standard of concrete median barrier was introduced and implemented without modification fitting to domestic vehicle and highway condition. 자동차 클러스터의 감시 및 제어를 위한 모델기반설계 기법 연구 (Study on a Model-based Design Technique for Monitoring and Control of a Vehicle Cluster)

  • 본 연구는 모델기반설계 기법을 이용하여 자동차 클러스터의 감시 및 제어를 하는 스테이션을 설계한다. 설계 도구로 매트랩 GUI(Graphic User Interface), M 프로그램, 시뮬링크(simulink), 스테이트 플로우(state flow), 툴박스(tool box)를 사용하여 실제 자동차 클러스터 시스템과 연동하여 자동차에서 들어오는 경고, 인터럽트 등의 각종 정보 등을 감시한다. 감시 수단으로는 PC(Personal Computer) 스테이션을 사용하여 자동차 클러스터 설계 시 툴 박스의 인터페이스 명령함수가 실제 자동차 클러스터 시스템과 연동하게 한다. 따라서, 기존의 텍스트 방식과 달리 모델기반설계로 개발된 자동차 클러스터 시스템은 각 기능 및 알고리즘을 블록과 상태플로우로 프로그램에 따라 작성하기 때문에 알고리즘의 수정이나 기능 추가가 용이하며, 또한, PC를 통해 모니터 상에서 동작 알고리즘을 검증하기 때문에 클러스터의 개발과 수정에 따른 많은 시간과 비용을 절감할 수 있는 효과를 준다.

  • In this paper, a computer-aided design system for axisymmetric deep drawing process will be described. An approach to the system is based on the knowledge based system. The system has been written in AutoLISP with personal computer. The system is composed of four main modules, such as input , geometrical design, test & rectification and user modification . The system which aids designer provides powerful capabilities for the design of axisymmetric deep drawing process.

버터플라이 밸브의 설계 안전도 평가 (Evaluation of Design Safety for Butterfly Valve)

  • Butterfly valve is a kind of rotational valve which opens and closes the flow of fluid on rotating the disk 90 degrees in the valve body. In this paper, butterfly valve design safety evaluation which is based on the international valve specifications is investigated. Both body and disk of the butterfly valve are considered under the normal and pressurized operating conditions. A finite element analysis is carried out to compute the distribution of the displacement, stress and safety factor by using ANSYS. On the basis of calculated design safety we offer the design modification and compare with them.

유한요소 구조 인자의 2차 민감도에 의한 동적 구조 최적화 (Structural Dynamics Optimization by Second Order Sensitivity with respect to Finite Element Parameter)

  • This paper discusses design sensitivity analysis and its application to a structural dynamics modification. Eigenvalue derivatives are determined with respect to the element parameters, which include intrinsic property parameters such as Young's modulus, density of the material, diameter of a beam element, thickness of a plate element, and shape parameters. Derivatives of stiffness and mass matrices are directly calculated by derivatives of element matrices. The first and the second order derivatives of the eigenvalues are then mathematically derived from a dynamic equation of motion of FEM model. The calculation of the second order eigenvalue derivative requires the sensitivity of its corresponding eigenvector, which are developed by Nelson's direct approach. The modified eigenvalue of the structure is then evaluated by the Taylor series expansion with the first and the second derivatives of eigenvalue. Numerical examples for simple beam and plate are presented. First, eigenvalues of the structural system are numerically calculated. Second, the sensitivities of eigenvalues are then evaluated with respect to the element intrinsic parameters. The most effective parameter is determined by comparing sensitivities. Finally, we predict the modified eigenvalue by Taylor series expansion with the derivatives of eigenvalue for single parameter or multi parameters. The examples illustrate the effectiveness of the eigenvalue sensitivity analysis for the optimization of the structures.

  • This paper is about automatic design of measuring master gears. Master gears are usually thought of as gears of extreme accuracy level, but are better defined as gages to check the meshing action of production gears. This is usually not recognized because most mechanical gages are associated with static measurements rather than having the form of machine elements used in a functional check involving machine motion. In this paper the interface that allows beginners to design easily and quickly is provided. The addition and modification of data is easy and the reduced design lead time is feasible with the program even though users don't know much about program since it is developed with Visual Lisp and DCL.

I 형 게이트 내방사선 n-MOSFET 구조 설계 및 특성분석 (Design of a radiation-tolerant I-gate n-MOSFET structure and analysis of its characteristic)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 실리콘 기반 n-MOSFET(n-type Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor)의 절연 산화막 계면에서 방사선으로부터 유발되는 누설전류 경로를 차단하기 위하여 I형 게이트 n-MOSEFT 구조를 제안하였다. I형 게이트 n-MOSFET 구조는 상용 0.18um CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) 공정에서 레이아웃 변형 기법을 이용하여 설계되었으며, ELT(Enclosed Layout Transistor)와 DGA(Dummy Gate-Assisted) n-MOSFET와 같은 레이아웃 변형 기법을 사용한 기존 내방사선 전자소자의 구조적 단점을 개선하였다. 따라서, 기존 구조와 비교하여 반도체 칩 제작에서 회로 설계의 확장성을 확보할 수 있다. 또한, 내방사선 특성 검증을 위하여 TCAD 3D(Technology Computer Aided Design 3-dimension) tool을 사용하여 모델링과 모의실험을 수행하였고, 그 결과 I형 게이트 n-MOSFET 구조의 내방사선 특성을 확인하였다.
