쐐기형 그라운드앵커의 인발 거동 특성 (Pullout Resistance Characteristics of the Wedge-shaped Ground Anchor)

  • Ground anchors are mostly used to improve the resistance capacity of retaining walls. The end of the anchor is connected to retaining wall through tendons and the forces in tendons are transferred to ground. In this study, we plan that the new anchor system increases the tension force in tendons and improves the pullout resistance characteristics of the system. In order to increase the pullout resistance capacity of existing anchor system, the new anchor system is made by attaching four steel sticks to the tip of anchor end. So the field test results showed that the pullout resistance capacity of the wedge-shaped ground anchor was acceptable to elastic displacement range.

수직형 MEMS 프로브 팁의 신뢰성 설계 및 전기적 특성평가 (Reliable design and electrical characteristics of vertical MEMS probe tip)

  • Probe card is a test component which is to classify the known good die with electrical contact before the packaging in the ATE (automatic testing equipment). Conventional probe tip was mostly needle type, it has been difficult to meet with conventional type, because of decreasing chip size, pad to pad pitch and pads size increasingly. For that reason, probe cards using MEMS (micro electro mechanical system) technology have been developed for various semiconductor chips. In this paper, Area Array type MEMS Probe tip was designed,, fabricated, and characterized its mechanical and electrical properties. The authors found that good electrical characteristics under $1{\Omega}$ were acquired with gold (Au) and aluminium (Al) pad contact test over 0.5gf and 4gf respectively. And, contact resistance variation under $0.1{\Omega}$ were achieved with 100,000 times of repetition test. And, insertion loss (IS) for high frequency operation was ascertained over 300MHz at -3dB loss.

Pile tip grouting diffusion height prediction considering unloading effect based on cavity reverse expansion model

  • The accurate prediction of grouting upward diffusion height is crucial for estimating the bearing capacity of tip-grouted piles. Borehole construction during the installation of bored piles induces soil unloading, resulting in both radial stress loss in the surrounding soil and an impact on grouting fluid diffusion. In this study, a modified model is developed for predicting grout diffusion height. This model incorporates the classical rheological equation of power-law cement grout and the cavity reverse expansion model to account for different degrees of unloading. A series of single-pile tip grouting and static load tests are conducted with varying initial grouting pressures. The test results demonstrate a significant effect of vertical grout diffusion on improving pile lateral friction resistance and bearing capacity. Increasing the grouting pressure leads to an increase in the vertical height of the grout. A comparison between the predicted values using the proposed model and the actual measured results reveals a model error ranging from -12.3% to 8.0%. Parametric analysis shows that grout diffusion height increases with an increase in the degree of unloading, with a more pronounced effect observed at higher grouting pressures. Two case studies are presented to verify the applicability of the proposed model. Field measurements of grout diffusion height correspond to unloading ratios of 0.68 and 0.71, respectively, as predicted by the model. Neglecting the unloading effect would result in a conservative estimate.

  • Non-heat treated steels are attractive in the steel-wire industry since the spheroidization and quenching-tempering treatment are not involved during the processing. In this study, three different steels such as dual phase steel, low-Si steel, and ultra low carbon bainitic steel were used to investigate their deformation resistance and forming limit. Deformation resistance was estimated by calculating the deformation energy and the forming limit was evaluated by measuring the critical strain revealing crack initiation at the notch tip of the specimens. The results showed that deformation resistance was the lowest in the low-Si steel, and the forming limit strain was the highest in the ultra low carbon bainitic steel.

Diesel Engine용 내마모 초경 Tappet 개발 (The development of high wear resistant tappet in diesel engine)

  • Tappet has wear problems like scuffing or pitting because of high Hertzian contact stress by line contact type between cam and tappet. To overcome this wear problems, we developed the high wear resistant tappet. Developed tappet consists of WC base alloyed tip and steel body. These two parts were directly bonded each other at high temperature under vacuum condition. To estimate the wear resistance of tungsten carbide tappet, we perform the scuffing test and engine dynamo test. As the result, tungsten carbide tappet has better wear resistance than conventionally chilled iron tappet.

가속도계를 이용한 마이크로스폿용접의 인프로세스 모니터링 (In-Process Monitoring of Micro Resistance Spot Weld Quality using Accelerometer)

  • This study is to propose an in-process monitoring system for micro resistance spot welding processes using minute accelerometer. A minute accelerometer is mounted on the upper moving electrode tip holder. With its high sensitivity and frequency response characteristics, accelerometer output signal has been successfully recorded and integrated twice to reflect electrode expansion during micro spot welding processes. The analysis of electrode expansion pattern was attempted to find its correlation with spot weld quality. Major previous findings1-6) regarding spot weld quality assessment with the electrode expansion signal in large scale resistance spot welding processes were proved to be true in this in-process monitoring system.

광양지역에 적합한 항타강관말뚝의 목표신뢰성지수 및 저항계수 산정 (Resistance Factor and Target Reliability Index Calculation of Static Design Methods for Driven Steel Pipe Pile in Gwangyang)

  • 최근 구조물 기초 분야에 대한 한계상태설계법이 국제적인 기술표준으로 요구됨에 따라 연구기반이 미약한 연약지반 개량공법에 대한 하중저항계수설계법 개발의 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 연구는 신뢰성 분석을 통해 항타강관말뚝의 목표신뢰성지수 및 저항계수를 산정하여 기초 구조물에 대한 LRFD code를 개발하고자 하였다. 프로그램의 검증을 위해 광양지역 16개의 항타말뚝 재하시험 결과와 2008년 한국건설기술연구원에서 이용된 57개의 항타말뚝 재하시험 결과를 취합하였다. 구조물기초설계기준에서 제안하고 있는 두가지 정역학적 설계공식에 대해서 대표 측정지지력과 설계지지력을 비교함으로써 저항편향계수를 평가하였고, 저항편향계수의 통계특성을 이용하여 일차신뢰도법 및 몬테카를로 실뮬레이션에 의한 신뢰성 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 항타강관말뚝의 목표 신뢰성지수 2.0, 2.33, 2.5에 대해서 선단부 N치 50이하인 경우 두 지지력 공식의 저항계수는 각각 0.611~0.684, 0.821~0.537, 선단부 N치 50이상인 경우 각각 0.608~0.545, 0.749~0.643으로 제안되었다. 본 연구결과는 향후 다양한 기초구조물 및 지반구조물의 하중저항계수설계법 개발을 위한 자료로서 그 활용성이 있을 것이다.

  • 국내 기초구조물에 대한 하중저항계수설계법 개발의 일환으로 신뢰성에 기반한 항타강관말뚝의 저항계수를 산정하였다. 국내 정재하시험 및 지반조사 자료를 수집, 분석하여 측정 지지력 확인이 가능한 57개 자료에 대해서 선단부 N치 50을 기준으로 두 그룹으로 분류하였다(N<50, $N{\geq}50$). 구조물기초설계기준에서 제안하고 있는 두 가지 정역학적 설계공식에 대해서 대표 측정지지력과 설계지지력을 비교함으로써 저항편향계수를 평가하였다. 저항편향계수의 통계특성을 이용하여 일차신뢰도법 및 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션에 의한 엄밀한 신뢰성 분석을 실시하였다. 신뢰성 분석 결과 및 국내 말뚝기초의 설계, 시공 실무 특성을 종합적으로 고려하여 목표 신뢰도지수를 결정하였다. 무리말뚝의 여용성을 적용할 수 있는 경우 2.0, 2.33, 무리말뚝의 여용성을 적용할 수 없는 경우 2.5의 목표 신뢰도지수를 결정하였고, 일차신뢰도법 및 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 적용하여 저항계수를 산정하였다.

모래지반에 타입된 개단말뚝의 관내토지지력 산정 (Computation of Plug Capacity for Open -Ended Piles Driven into Sands)

  • 지반조건이 관내토의 지지력특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 여러가지 조건을 갖는 모래지반에 타입된 개단말뚝에 대하여 토조실험을 수행하였다. 실험에서 사용된 모형말뚝은 말뚝의 지지력을 외주면마찰력과 관내토지지력, 그리고 말뚝 단면부지지력의 세가지로 분리 측정할 수 있도록 제작하였다. 몇가지 가정하에 실험결과로부터 계산된 관내토 내부의 토압계수는 말뚝의 관입깊이와 지반의 상대밀도가 증가함에 따라 감소하고, 지반의 초기 압밀압력이 증가할수록 증가하는 경향을 나타낸다. 또한 토압계수는 관내토의 하단부에 접근할수록 증가한다. 관내토의 1차원 해석으로부터 계산된 관내토지지력과 실측치의 비교로부터 Randolph등과 O'Neill등에 의하여 제안된 P를 이용한 1차원 해석이나 API의 추천방법은 관내토지지력을 상당히 과소평가 함을 알 수 있다. 따라서 실험결과에 근거하여 관내토의 1차원 해석을 통한 관내토지지력의 예측 정도를 높이기 위하여 1차원 해석에 필요한 관내토의 토압계수를 산정할 수 있는 경험식이 제안되었으며, 제안된 식은 모든 지반조건에 대하여 적당한 관내토지지력을 산정한다.

Write Characteristics of Silicon Resistive Probe

  • Probe storage is one of the strong candidates for future mobile storage device since it has potential of recording density over I $Tb/in^2$ with r/w speed over 100 Mbps. It also uses silicon-processing technology that suits the purpose of small form factor. In this paper, write characteristics of resistive probe that can rotate the field direction of PZT by field-induced resistance changes in a small resistive region at the apex of the tip will be presented. Also, the relationship between the size of tip and the available write width is investigated for different source bias conditions. For this study, two-dimensional computer simulation ($SILVACO^{TM}$) was performed. With optimum design, the width of the writing electric field can be smaller than 50nm
